A deeply familiar voice rang out from behind her.
In this hazy, mysterious night, it was like the lodious notes of a cello.
Yan Xinxin was startled and was about to turn around when Mo Chuxi’s arms wrapped around her.
The tantalizing scent of him instantly lingered in her breath.
"Why are you here? Weren’t you putting Chun to sleep?"
"Our little darling is already asleep. And, when will Mrs. Mo finally get used to the layout of this house? Hmm?"

"What you said to that Mrs. Mo earlier—I heard it loud and clear from the balcony over there."
Mo Chuxi held Yan Xinxin’s slender waist and bent down to whisper into her ear.
"Who would’ve thought Mars crashing into Earth could happen so peacefully, hmm?"

Yan Xinxin feigned displeasure and turned her delicate face to the side.
"Well then, Mr. Mo, may I ask, who is Mars and who is Earth?"
Mo Chuxi smirked as he curved his sensual lips, raised a hand to lift Yan Xinxin’s chin, and locked his electrifying gaze on her tender and gentle eyes.
"Mrs. Mo is Mars, and I am Earth."

"So, shall we go back to the room and crash?"
"..."
"Let’s go, my dear."
"Mo Chuxi, you pervert!"
Yan Xinxin’s voice of indignation echoed throughout the entire estate.
The next morning.
Lin Yuan’ai sat in the dining room waiting for the family of four to co for breakfast.
Chenxi’s cheerful figure was the first to appear.
"Good morning, Grandma!"
The soft and tender greeting filled Lin Yuan’ai’s heart with delight.
"My dear Chun, co here quickly! Let Grandma give you a kiss."
She reached out to wave Chenxi over, and the obedient little one walked straight to her.
Watching this heartwarming scene, Yan Xinxin felt rather comforted.
But when she glanced down, the little boy beside her still seed distant and aloof.
Could Xi’s grudge against Lin Yuan’ai still remain unresolved?
She pondered silently.
Lin Yuan’ai noticed how indifferent Yan Chenxi looked, and it dampened her spirits sowhat, but she still managed a smile.
"Xi, it’s ti for breakfast. Afterward, you need to head to school."
She tried to start a conversation, but Xi didn’t show much reaction.
The more Lin Yuan’ai observed him, the more disheartened she felt.
Even so, her heart still swelled with pride at having such an extraordinary grandson.
After breakfast, the two little ones followed Yan Xinxin and stood at the door, waiting for Mo Chuxi to bring the car around.
Yan Xinxin lowered her head to look at Xi. In the morning light, the little one seed to be deep in thought about sothing.
"Chun, Xi."
Just as they were about to get into the car, Lin Yuan’ai’s voice hurriedly called out from behind.
Yan Xinxin and the two children all turned in unison, seeing Lin Yuan’ai quickly approaching with two lunchboxes in her hands.
"You forgot your lunches."
Lin Yuan’ai smiled as she handed them over.
"You two little scatterbrains, how could you forget your lunches? Hurry and thank Grandma."
"Thank you, Grandma."
Chenxi accepted his lunchbox without hesitation and expressed his gratitude.
Lin Yuan’ai bead with joy and then handed the other lunchbox to Yan Chenxi.
"Xi, here’s your lunchbox."
"Thank you..."
He said softly, before suddenly lifting his flawless, delicate face under the sunlight.
"Grandma."
Lin Yuan’ai couldn’t have been more shocked to hear Xi calling her "Grandma" at that very mont!
The kind of ecstatic joy she felt was hers alone to experience!
She returned to the house brimming with happiness and decided to call Ning Zitong.
She had already contacted Ning Zitong yesterday to inquire about the whereabouts of Mu Qianyuan.
But Ning Zitong’s tone hadn’t been pleasant, and after a few terse exchanges, their conversation ended on a sour note. This ti, however, Ning Zitong directly hung up on her.
Lin Yuan’ai felt a slight pang of frustration, though her mood remained upbeat.
Yet as she thought back to the conversation she had with Yan Xinxin last night, sothing seed not quite right.

Yan Xinxin indeed didn’t resemble her adoptive mother, but she looked remarkably similar to Ning Zitong!
