Yang Guoping stared at the magnificent villa in front of him, muttering to himself.
Saving Yan Xinxin back then was a coincidence, and deciding to adopt her was his own choice.

Yang Guoping waited for a while and saw the butler from earlier approaching. Beside him walked a young man with a sowhat roguish vibe.

He quickened his steps to the entrance and introduced Yang Guoping to him.
"This is our Young Master."
Yang Guoping was startled upon hearing the words.
So, Xinxin has an older brother after all.

He greeted politely, but Mu Shaoqian responded with a cold wave of his hand.
Yang Guoping felt confused, and then the butler suddenly handed him an envelope.
Mu Shaoqian looked at him lazily, pulling a cigarette from his pocket, lighting it, and taking a drag.
"Many people like you ca to our house today hoping for a reward for providing leads. Take this money and leave."

Yang Guoping felt frustrated and tried desperately to explain.

He called repeatedly, but Mu Shaoqian walked away decisively without looking back.
Over the past couple of days, too many people had co to the Mu family seeking money, none of whom provided any genuine leads.

Standing outside the tall iron gates, Yang Guoping angrily threw the envelope of money onto the ground.

He muttered furiously under his breath and reluctantly turned to leave.

At the end of the workday, Yan Xinxin was about to head to the 18th floor to find Mo Chuxi and go ho together.
She took the staircase to the 18th floor and saw many senior executives leaving with their briefcases. Niki was also about to leave when she spotted Yan Xinxin and was sowhat surprised.
"Xinxin, why did you co up here? Young Master Mo isn’t at the office!"
Hearing Niki’s reply, Yan Xinxin was taken aback.

She thought to herself, realizing today she would have to go ho alone.
However, when Yan Xinxin reached the ground floor, she realized that the weather was far from cooperative—it was pouring outside.
Sumr weather was always so unpredictable, especially in the evenings when thunderstorms were frequent.
She couldn’t tell when the rain would stop, so she braved the downpour, running to the roadside in hopes of catching a cab.
But as fate would have it, her foot caught on a stone, and she fell hard, landing on both knees with her hands pressed against the muddy rain-soaked ground.
Just then, a black sedan screeched to a sudden halt in front of her.
