When Yan Xinxin saw the man suddenly appear in front of her, she was surprised.
At this hour, shouldn’t he be at the office? Why would he suddenly co ho?
Confused, she mulled over the thought silently, then abruptly caught her breath as a warm reason ca to mind.

Mo Chuxi’s pleasant voice interrupted Yan Xinxin’s wandering thoughts.
She quickly pulled herself out of her reverie, and gently turned away, slipping out of his embrace.
When Yan Xinxin had just called him "Chuxi," Mo Chuxi had been secretly pleased, but now, seeing her avoid his arms again left him feeling irritated.
His deep, brooding eyes swept over Yan Xinxin’s now rosy, palm-sized face with an air of unease.
"How long are you planning to keep giving the cold shoulder?"
He asked, his tone distant and detached.
As soon as he spoke, he began walking towards the stairs.
Yan Xinxin, unable to ignore his indifference, quickly followed him.
Lin Yuan’ai, excited to see Mo Chuxi back, instinctively moved to greet him but stopped abruptly upon noticing his icy poker face and Yan Xinxin following close behind.
Though genuinely thrilled, she restrained herself.
Recalling Yan Xinxin’s earlier concerns, Lin Yuan’ai decided to head sowhere else!
Yan Xinxin followed closely behind Mo Chuxi, like a guilty child, stepping in silence into his every footprint.
Mo Chuxi could feel Yan Xinxin following him, reminiscent of the tis in their childhood when she trailed him everywhere.
Yet he did nothing to stop her or reprimand her, heading straight to the study door, entering a password, and stepping inside.
Yan Xinxin suddenly felt a pang of guilt, hesitating at the doorway for a few seconds before ultimately deciding to follow him inside.
Sunlight stread in through the floor-to-ceiling windows, as Yan Xinxin watched Mo Chuxi approach the bookcase, his sharp, handso face slightly raised, seemingly searching for a book.
The thin rays of light outlined the defined features of his side profile, accentuating the smooth and elegant arc of his jaw.
Mo Chuxi reached out his slender, well-defined fingers to pull out a book, flipping through it as he turned.
"Have you still not had enough of following , or staring at ?"
He spoke lazily, his lips parting to form a casual, rather sarcastic tone—clearly sulking.
With his long eyes fixed on the book’s contents, Mo Chuxi walked slowly to the desk.
Upon noticing the steel box and journal placed on the desk, his sharp brows furrowed slightly.
"Have you been in here before?"
He lifted his dark eyes, his piercing gaze landing squarely on Yan Xinxin’s slightly flustered face.
Aside from her, he couldn’t imagine another person being bold enough to co in.
Soon, Yan Xinxin nodded, admitting it.
"I’m sorry. I won’t co into your study without permission again. Don’t worry, I didn’t read your journal. I just..."
"The letters inside were written to you anyway. If you want to read them, just read them."
Mo Chuxi interrupted her with indifference, casually tossing the steel box and journal toward the edge of the desk.
"Careful!"
Yan Xinxin abruptly cried out to warn him, seeing the steel box and journal about to slide off the desk.
She rushed forward.
But instead of catching the items, the montum caused her stomach and toes to slam hard against the corner of the desk.

Her aching stomach was one thing, but her toes hitting the desk corner—this was unbearable pain!
Yan Xinxin winced in pain, her brows drawn tightly, as she fell to the ground with a thud at Mo Chuxi’s feet.
The high-and-mighty man was startled for a mont before quickly crouching down.
