"Snap!"
Before Selena’s hand could reach Xu Nuo’s shirt, her wrist was suddenly grabbed by his palm.
Xu Nuo was montarily startled.
He seed to recall holding Yan Xinxin’s hand before—she was the closest any girl had ever gotten to him. But sohow, it had never evoked a feeling so inexplicably alarming as now.
"What’s wrong? Let help you take a look. Sprains, bruises—I can handle all that, you know!"
Selena spoke with utter seriousness, smiling as she withdrew her hand from Xu Nuo’s grasp.
"My head’s really harder than iron, so I knew I must have hurt you. Otherwise, why would you suddenly start coughing?"
Looking at her earnest and concerned little face, Xu Nuo gently let go of her hand.
"I wasn’t coughing because my chest hurt; it was because my throat was itchy."
With that, he coolly turned away.
Selena remained standing in place for a mont, then decided to follow him, trailing him all the way to the entrance of his apartnt on the 20th floor.
"Why are you still following ?"
He stopped in his tracks and turned around.
His slender eyes fixated on the girl in front of him.
It was only then that he took a closer look at her outfit and appearance.
Her features were undeniably beautiful, but her outfit really made her look like a female assassin.
"Just leave. Stop following . I’m not so fragile, and I don’t need you to take responsibility."
"But Mada always says you have to take responsibility when you’ve done sothing wrong. If you don’t take responsibility for , I promise I’ll take responsibility for you!"

"Also, isn’t this a hotel? I’m staying here tonight too."
"Hotel?"
Xu Nuo was genuinely stunned.
Even an idiot would know this was an apartnt building for singles—how could it be mistaken for a hotel?

The way she acted, she seed like she was straight out of so ancient era—utterly naive and oblivious to the ways of the world.
Deciding it wasn’t worth explaining further, Xu Nuo inserted his room card and entered the apartnt, with Selena predictably trailing right behind.
Although Xu Nuo still didn’t understand why he had brought ho such a "fool," her deanor made him feel like if he left her outside so late, soone with ill intentions might take advantage of her.
He took out a pair of new slippers from the shoe cabinet and placed them on the floor.
"Thank you!"
Selena stepped forward, changed into the slippers, and thanked him.
Just as she was about to turn around and head inside, she backed up again.
"I need to buy clothes for tomorrow first. I’ll be back later. Bye-bye."
"Wait."
Xu Nuo called out to her, his brows faintly furrowing.
"I’ll go with you."
He spoke as if resigned, then took the lead to turn around.
Selena smiled and, after changing into her shoes, followed him out...
The night steadily deepened, becoming more hazy.
Yan Xinxin nestled in Mo Chuxi’s arms, tugging playfully at his ear.
"Chuxi, our honeymoon trip has to be postponed."
She spoke regretfully, her lips parting as her gaze lowered with a hint of lancholy.
"Once the first three months stabilize, I’ll take you anywhere you want to go."
"Really?"
"Truer than the words ’I love you.’"
"Huh?"
Yan Xinxin lifted her head at his words, her wide eyes glaring up at him.
"So what you’re really saying, President Mo, is that your ’I love you’ to isn’t entirely sincere?"
"Mhm. Guess."
Mo Chuxi spoke as he rolled onto his side, lying next to Yan Xinxin, who was flat on her back. He rested his left arm against her neck, letting her use it as a pillow.
With their gazes intertwined, his eyes overflowed with deep affection and adoration.
"I really want to see the baby."
His thin lips parted as he spoke, his tone laced with a dangerously enticing allure.

Yan Xinxin blinked a few tis.
"President Mo, are you really that much of a pervert?"

Mo Chuxi’s brows knitted tightly at her accusation.
"I think I am."

Yan Xinxin froze in shock as Mo Chuxi’s lips pressed down onto hers.
