Mu Shaoqian was dumbfounded.
The woman beside him froze as well.
Yan Xinxin was even more surprised when she saw who had arrived.

How could this be?
She thought Mo Chuxi might have co, but never in her wildest dreams did she expect her biological father, Mu Jingheng, to show up!
"Dad?"
Mu Shaoqian clutched his face, staring incredulously at Mu Jingheng’s cold expression.
"Dad, are you out of your mind? You actually hit ?"
"The one who’s out of their mind here is YOU!"
Mu Jingheng snapped angrily.
"Apologize to Lady Yan imdiately!"
"Apologize? To her?"
Mu Shaoqian laughed coldly.
"Dad, are you really getting senile? Our Yuan isn’t dead—she’s alive and well—and yet you’re still fooled by this stand-in!"
"No matter who Lady Yan is or who she resembles, you have no right to talk about her like that!"
Mu Jingheng maintained an uncompromising tone.
"Apologize to her! If you don’t, don’t even think about coming ho! And as for inheriting the Mu family’s assets? Forget about it!"
"..."
Mu Shaoqian froze, stupefied.
"Dad! Are you insane? You’re hitting and demanding I apologize to this little fox just to threaten ? Fine, I won’t go ho! As for apologizing to her—maybe in my next life!"
As he spoke, Mu Shaoqian turned to embrace the woman with a snake-face surgery look.
"Completely insane!"
"Shaoqian!"
Mu Jingheng’s face turned livid with rage as he called out after him, but Mu Shaoqian stomped off without even glancing back.
Seeing Mu Jingheng’s anger because of her, Yan Xinxin felt a sharp pang in her heart.
"Daddy."
She spoke softly, the two clear syllables falling into Mu Jingheng’s ears.
He froze, the fury on his face instantly dispelled upon hearing Yan Xinxin call him that.
A rush of unfamiliar warmth surged within him; the feeling of being called "Dad" by his precious daughter—it was finally back!
Mu Jingheng’s eyes grew misty. He imdiately turned to look at Yan Xinxin.
"Yuan."
He called out, his gaze filled with affection and his tone gentle.
Yan Xinxin nodded and smiled lightly.
"Yes."
Her response made it impossible for Mu Jingheng to hold back. A single tear dropped with a "plop."
Seeing this, Yan Xinxin’s own eyes grew misty. She quickly pulled out a tissue and handed it to Mu Jingheng.
"Don’t be sad, Daddy."
She tried to comfort him.
Mu Jingheng nodded and reached out to take the tissue, but he couldn’t resist clasping Yan Xinxin’s hand tightly.
When she was little, how many tis had she placed her tiny hand in his palm and called him "Daddy" in her adorably sweet voice?
Yan Xinxin looked at him, wanting to laugh but feeling more like crying.
"Dad?"
Mo Chuxi’s voice sounded from the side as his tall and charming figure stepped up next to Yan Xinxin.
"Dad, why are you here?"
"I followed Shaoqian, that brat, here."
"Mu Shaoqian?"
Mo Chuxi looked surprised and glanced around, but he didn’t spot Mu Shaoqian anywhere.
Mu Jingheng cast a glance toward the hospital entrance and sighed.
"He brought a woman here for surgery."
"A miscarriage procedure?"
Yan Xinxin ventured a guess. From the woman’s attire and deanor, she could mostly infer the situation.
And considering this was the Won and Children Hospital, what else could they be here for?
Mu Jingheng nodded.
"Won like her are inherently restless. She’s only with Shaoqian for money. That brat is just amusing himself."
"If Mu Shaoqian keeps ssing around like this, it’s only a matter of ti before sothing goes wrong."
Mo Chuxi said as he pulled Yan Xinxin toward him, wrapping an arm protectively around her shoulders.
"That idiot didn’t bully you, did he?"
Yan Xinxin shook her head with a smile and glanced at Mu Jingheng.
"With Daddy here, how could anything happen to ?"
Hearing that, Mu Jingheng felt even more warmth flood his heart, his grip on Yan Xinxin’s hand reluctant to loosen.
"By the way, Yuan, why are you here? Have you been feeling unwell lately?"
"Don’t worry, Daddy. Yuan is doing great."
Yan Xinxin smiled and shook her head, placing a hand on her belly, her cheeks flushing slightly red.
"Chuxi accompanied here today for a pregnancy checkup. We’re having another baby."
