"Shh—"
Mu Qianshui smirked triumphantly, gesturing for Yan Xinxin to stay silent.
"I suggest you turn off your phone right now and obediently co with . Otherwise, face the consequences."
She stared confidently at Yan Xinxin, then turned and walked away.
"You have three seconds to decide."
Three seconds.
Without hesitation, Yan Xinxin swapped the phone that Mo Qingning was holding with her own, then imdiately powered off Mo Qingning’s phone.
"I’ll go with you."
She spoke softly.
Mu Qianshui’s steps paused for a mont.
"Good."
Mo Qingning was montarily stunned by Yan Xinxin’s series of actions. Realizing Yan Xinxin was about to follow Mu Qianshui, she hurried to block her way.
"Saozi, where are you going? You can’t go with her!"
Yan Xinxin gave a faint smile at the worried Mo Qingning and pointed to the phone she had just handed over.
"It’ll be fine, trust ."
She assured her and then turned around to leave.
"Saozi."
Watching Yan Xinxin’s retreating figure, Mo Qingning lowered her head to look at Yan Xinxin’s phone.
When she picked it up, the screen lit up, revealing an image, and Mo Qingning imdiately understood why Yan Xinxin had agreed without hesitation.
"Big Brother, where’s Big Brother?"
Mo Qingning grew anxious.
She quickly ran to the 18th floor but was told that Mo Chuxi had gone out for a business eting.
No wonder Yan Xinxin had gone downstairs for afternoon tea; normally, during this ti, she would have been in Mo Chuxi’s office enjoying a sweet mont together.
Mo Qingning hurriedly punched in a series of numbers and called Mo Chuxi, only to find that no one was answering.
She paused to think—this was Yan Xinxin’s phone, so why wasn’t Mo Chuxi’s number marked with a na?
Logically, dialing the number should have displayed an identifier. Could it be that Big Brother gave Saozi a private number instead?
Mo Qingning’s mind was quick. She imdiately found the contact nad "Xixi #1" in the call history.
As expected, the call connected instantly.
Mo Chuxi’s deep, magnetic voice with a hint of playfulness quickly ca through.
"Miss already, baby?"
"I’m not your baby, I’m your sister!"
"...Qingqing?"
"Saozi might be in danger, Big Brother, hurry back!"
"What are you talking about?"
Mo Chuxi abruptly stood up, drawing puzzled stares from the other powerful figures seated at the eting table.
Mo Chuxi’s temper was notoriously unpredictable. However, everyone also knew that since marrying Yan Xinxin, his typically impassive face had softened with more smiles and less ice-cold detachnt.
But now, seeing his darkening expression, no one dared to ask questions.
"Send the photo. I’m heading back right now."
Mo Chuxi said and hung up.
"The eting ends here."
He turned sharply and issued the command as he walked out briskly.
The other executives nodded repeatedly in agreent.
In Ancheng, Mo Chuxi’s status and influence were akin to that of an emperor in ancient tis; few dared to cross him.
Ah Ding, waiting outside the eting room, saw Mo Chuxi rushing out with a chilling expression and imdiately followed.
Just as he was about to ask what had happened, his eyes caught the image displayed on Mo Chuxi’s phone screen.
"Aren’t those the Little Master and Little Miss!"
Ah Ding exclaid in shock.
"What is that place? Why are they in a place like that?"
Mo Chuxi’s sharp brows furrowed tightly, his thin lips moving slightly.
"Don’t ask anything. Just follow now."
anwhile, Yan Xinxin had followed Mu Qianshui out of the car.
They were in the suburbs, surrounded by a barren stretch of land and patches of yellowing trees.
"Mu Qianshui, where are my son and daughter?"
