Xu Nuo is part of the Mo family?
Yan Xinxin stared in shock at the two n before her, their faces equally refined and delicate. Suddenly, she felt that their features bore an uncanny resemblance in certain ways...
"Hmph."
Xu Nuo let out a cold laugh, turning his gaze to Mo Chuxi.
"How could I possibly be family with you? Your Mo Manor sits on the most valuable land in Ancheng, while the place I live in — I suspect, Young Master Mo, you wouldn't even bother to know."
"That's your own choice."
Mo Chuxi looked at Xu Nuo, his expression composed and unflappable.
He turned his eyes toward Yan Xinxin, who appeared sowhat dazed.
"Get in the car."
He gestured.
"Huh? ?"
"Who do you think?"
"..."
Yan Xinxin froze for a couple of seconds, then raised her eyes to find Xu Nuo looking at her with a complex expression. Following instructions, she obediently turned and got into the passenger seat.
Xu Nuo's gaze lingered at the car window, the unwillingness in his eyes unmistakable.
"Yan Xinxin belongs to . Stay away from her."
As Mo Chuxi turned away, his thin lips coldly spat these words before he strode to the driver's seat and got in. The car quickly sped off from everyone's sight.
"Hey, wasn't that Yan Xinxin just now?"
"She's really sothing, huh? Not only does she have Xu Nuo standing up for her, but who knew she even knows Young Master Mo!"
The girls watching from the school gate erupted in jealous excitent when they saw Yan Xinxin getting into Mo Chuxi's car.
"That Mo Xiaoli and Xue ngshi are such a joke. Posting sothing like that to defa her, and now Director Yang has released a clarification. They really dug their own graves!"
"But... do you guys really believe Young Master Mo and Yan Xinxin are just tutor and student?"
In the ensuing silence, soone suddenly murmured this question, and the rest of the group exchanged uneasy looks without a word...
The car ca to a slow stop at a traffic light, the cabin silent and still.
Mo Chuxi turned his head, looking at the quiet Yan Xinxin with a slight furrow of his brows.
"Upset? Because I interrupted you and Xu Nuo?"
"..."
"Stay away from him whenever you see him from now on."
Mo Chuxi reminded her again, his tone sharp and unyielding.
Yan Xinxin glanced at him, her lips pressing together lightly.
"Fine. Whatever you want—it's not like I've ever had the right to say no."
"What are you trying to say?"
"Nothing."
Yan Xinxin tugged at the corners of her mouth in a faint smile.
"Just let off here. I'll go back on my own—I don't want to delay any more important matters for Young Master Mo."
As soon as she finished speaking, Yan Xinxin grabbed her bag and got out of the car, leaving Mo Chuxi no chance to stop her.
Staring at her hurried figure disappearing into the distance, Mo Chuxi's brows furrowed tightly.

On a bright afternoon, Yan Xinxin sat by a small white table on the rooftop, sketching design drafts.
All the drafts she'd created before had been thrown away by Yan Zhirou. In such a short ti, she couldn't think of anything new, so she resorted to redrawing her previous designs—but no matter how she tried, it wasn't the sa as before.
Inspiration is one of those things—it's best at the mont you have it. Trying to recreate it later always feels like sothing's missing...
Before she realized it, the slanted afternoon sunlight had softened into gentle twilight.
Yan Xinxin returned to her apartnt holding groceries in one hand and her son's hand in the other.
"Xi, go do the howork your teacher assigned. Mommy Xinxin will start dinner."
"Okay."
Yan Chenxi obediently nodded, tossing his little backpack onto the sofa.
"Mommy Xinxin, when is Daddy Chuxi coming back?"
"..."
Yan Xinxin snapped around quickly, her delicate face set firmly with a serious expression.
"Yan Chenxi, listen to carefully—your mother, , Mommy Xinxin, is telling you very seriously: That man is NOT your dad!"
Yan Chenxi frowned slightly, looking a bit troubled.
"But Brother Xi said he wants to be my dad..."
"What?!"
"Ding dong! Ding dong!"
The doorbell rang just at the right mont, cutting off the question Yan Xinxin had been about to ask.
"It must be Daddy Chuxi! I'll go open the door!"
