Mo Chuxi hesitated before speaking.
"Hmm? How are the babies?"
Yan Xinxin looked at him, smiling as she inquired.
Seeing her expectant gaze, Mo Chuxi adjusted his mindset and followed with a gentle smile.
"The doctor said our babies are premature, so they need to stay in the incubator for now."
As he spoke, he clearly saw Yan Xinxin’s eyebrows knit slightly.
"Xinxin, don’t worry. The doctor said there’s nothing wrong with the babies. Many premature infants need a few days in the incubator and they’ll be fine."
He quickly reassured her, fearing she might worry.
There was no other choice but to explain it this way.
If Yan Xinxin knew the current situation of their second baby, she might end up in the ergency room again.
After all, heart disease is no joke.
She just went through such a great ordeal, and he didn’t want to see her sad again.
"Is that so..."
Yan Xinxin did not suspect anything and just smiled.
Two doctors in white coats and several nurses soon entered.
The doctors reported Yan Xinxin’s condition to Mo Chuxi and stated she could be transferred to a regular ward now.
After Mo Chuxi signed in agreent, he accompanied the doctors and nurses to transfer Yan Xinxin to a VIP single ward.
While taking care of Yan Xinxin, Mo Chuxi was also worried about his younger son, not knowing how things were going in the ergency room.
Mo Chuxi found an excuse to go to the restroom, closed the door, and imdiately called Mo Qingning.
The call was quickly connected, and Mo Qingning’s anxious voice was heard.
Listening with a sinking heart, Mo Chuxi walked out of the restroom with a somber expression after hanging up the phone.
Just then, a nurse was speaking with Yan Xinxin, and he adjusted his deanor, slightly curling his lips as he walked toward the bed.
"Chuxi, I’m hungry. The nurse said I could eat, and I suddenly want to have the pigeon soup Qingqing cooks."
"Okay, I’ll ask Qingqing to make it for you right now."
Mo Chuxi agreed without hesitation.
"But it’s not good to trouble her. Qingqing has to work, I shouldn’t be so capricious."
"Today is Sunday, Qingqing doesn’t have to work, and even if she did, we’re family. Nothing is more important than family, right?"
Mo Chuxi gently stroked her head, speaking tenderly to reassure Yan Xinxin.
She looked up at him with big eyes and then obediently nodded.
"Mm."
Witnessing this sweet, tender mont, the young nurse felt envious.
She envied Yan Xinxin for marrying a perfect man like Mo Chuxi and more so for being cherished like a jewel by him.
Mo Chuxi said he would get sothing from the car and asked the young nurse to stay with Yan Xinxin, then turned to head to the pediatric ergency room.
Before arriving, he saw Mo Qingning and Lin Yuan’ai standing worriedly at the door.
Seeing Mo Chuxi approach, the mother and daughter turned simultaneously.
"Chuxi, how’s Xinxin now?"
"She’s fine, already moved to a regular ward, the nurse is watching her. She even said she wants to have the pigeon soup that Qingqing makes."
"Oh? Sister-in-law wants my pigeon soup!"
Mo Qingning was incredibly surprised.
Mo Chuxi nodded in affirmation.
"So, Qingqing, you should go back and make the pigeon soup first, then co back. Leave this to ."
"But..."
Mo Qingning frowned, glancing at the ergency room behind her.
"I want to wait for my little nephew to co out before going back..."
"Ding."
Before Mo Qingning could finish, the ergency room light turned off, and the doors opened.
Mo Chuxi was the first to step forward, rushing to the doorway.
"Doctor, how’s my son? What’s the current situation?"
