The headless body of Ed collapsed; the twisted form of Gela slid down the wall; Lita’s fingers released Erwin’s cold heart; and Zaun’s wraith like form dissolved into a heap of flesh and leather. They were no longer puppets. They were just at. Dead at.
Maddy’s shadow began to stretch, darkening the entire chamber as her Hellmouth icon pulsed with a ravenous, evil light.

Maddy folded her arms, deep in thought.
"Woah... this world is huge. Everything really cos down to bloodlines... So becoming an adventurer isn’t just a career path or a job title... it’s inherited. It’s in your blood."
[Exactly. Only those born with traces of Protheus’ blood can awaken the system naturally but it’s not that simple. Even Protheans must register with the Guild, the official organization that formally recognizes them as adventurers.]
Maddy leaning back as the pieces clicked into place.
"I get it. It’s like how parents give birth to a child, but that child doesn’t magically beco a doctor or an engineer. They have to go to school and get a license. Sa logic, sa sh*t. The Guild is just a glorified registrar for bloodline elites."
She thought for a mont.
"Hmmm... so, in this world, ’Adventurer’ isn’t just a job title, it’s a genetic state. So... that doesn’t make an adventurer yet?"

"So my chira traits... they really break the rules, break the law of the world, and even... completely bypass a bloodline requirent. GOSH... I’m literally having chills just thinking about it!"

Maddy laughed.
"That’s good, Lucy! You’re actually showing so humor now! I like that, it’s like I’m giving you more personality as we talk. It’s literally that thing... when you spend ti with soone, you beco a part of them."
Then she fell silent for a mont, her thoughts piercing deeper into her mind. An idea turned over like a locked door she had just found the key to.
"I’ve got the compatibility... but without Guild registration, without officially becoming an adventurer, my trait Prothean Compatibility... remains useless. What if...?"
