Maddy tilted her head, examining the result forming inside the Birthing Customization interface.
Her eyes slowly widened.
"Oh God..."
She shivered slightly.
"Looking at him just gave chills."
The silhouette of the unborn chira looked powerful... but also terrifying. She rubbed her arms.
"Okay, yeah, that’s definitely nightmare fuel."
She glanced behind her toward Sephiran, who was leaning forward excitedly, practically bouncing where he stood.
"...If I release him like this, Sephiran might scream before he even says hello."
Maddy shook her head with a laugh and turned back to the interface.
"Alright... maybe this new feature can help."
She tapped the next panel.

"Armor slots... weapon slots... magical focus..."
She tapped her chin thoughtfully.
"So I could technically give him a staff..."
Another thought struck her.
"...Or a sword."
Her grin widened slowly.
"...Or both."
Lucy’s calm voice echoed again in her mind.

Maddy’s eyebrows rose. Lucy continued.

Maddy hovered over the options, eyes gleaming with excitent and curiosity.

Maddy slowly clasped her hands together.
She slowly clasped her hands together, a wide grin forming.
"So it’s like... the armor is my child, too. I can change it, reshape it, add traits... This is insane! Their equipnt isn’t just what they wore—it’s a part of them now."
Her fingers moved across the panel, opening the Armor section first. Rows of equipnt designs unfolded in front of her—mories of every blade, shield, and armor piece she had devoured now cataloged perfectly by Chira Forge.
"Alright... let’s start with the important part."
She looked at the preview of the child’s base form.
The figure hovering in the panel was little more than a dark silhouette—an amorphous, drifting shape of black mist. No bones. No skin. Just a living shadow that pulsed gently like smoke caught in slow motion.
Maddy shivered.
"Okay, yeah... that is way too scary."
Her finger tapped the Armor → Torso option.
"Good thing Mommy has a solution."
A familiar design appeared among the equipnt list, the golden armor worn by Erwin. Maddy’s eyes narrowed.
"Ohhh... I rember you."
She tilted her head, studying the armor carefully.
"I’m not copying it exactly. No way. But..."
Her grin returned.
"...the shape was pretty cool."
With a few gestures, the armor materialized in the preview window but Maddy imdiately began modifying it.
The golden breastplate stretched wider, thicker, and far more imposing than the original. Heavy plates layered over one another like overlapping scales, giving it a towering presence. The armor was built large, far larger than the child actually needed, designed to contain the ghostlike body drifting inside.
"Perfect. Like a little boy inside a heavy armor."
She moved to the next slot.
[ARMOR – Head]
"Helt."
A massive helm ford above the breastplate. Unlike Erwin’s open faced design, this one was fully enclosed, crowned with ridges that curved backward like a knight’s crest. Two narrow eye slits glowed faintly, allowing the shadowy presence inside to peer out without revealing its true form.
Her fingers continued.
[ARMOR – Arms]
Thick pauldrons appeared over the shoulders, followed by armored gauntlets that encased the arms completely. The plating extended down into reinforced forearms, giving the entire silhouette the appearance of a colossal knight.
Next ca the lower armor.
[ARMOR – Legs]
Heavy greaves wrapped around the legs, layered with protective plates. The boots were wide and grounded, designed to give the armored figure a stable stance despite the intangible body within.
Maddy leaned back slightly, admiring the towering armored silhouette floating in the preview.
Inside the armor, the black ghostlike child drifted gently, its form occasionally touching the tal before fading through it like mist.
"Okay... that’s actually really cool."
But then she squinted.
"Wait. He still needs to breathe."
Her fingers moved again, adjusting the design.
Small open channels appeared between certain armor plates—thin gaps at the joints, around the collar, and along the ribs. Through those openings, the swirling black mist of the child’s true form could be seen faintly moving inside the armor.
"See? Not completely hidden."
She nodded proudly.
"That way he won’t look like a walking coffin."
Satisfied with the armor, she opened the Weapons tab.
[WEAPONS – Primary]
The interface imdiately presented a familiar weapon. The massive claymore Erwin had carried. Maddy stared at it for a mont.
"You know what? Yeah."
Her fingers reshaped it.
The blade length remained enormous, but its thickness slimd down considerably. The result was a sleeker claymore—long, elegant, and terrifyingly sharp. The tal shimred faintly with the mineral traits she had consud, giving it a slightly crystalline sheen.
The handle was lengthened so the armored child could grip it easily. She didn’t stop there—she made sure he could hold two swords. She replicated the blade, and now he had one in each hand.
"There we go. Dual sword knight."
She rotated the preview model slowly. The miniature ghost knight twirled, the swords slicing through imaginary air with precision and elegance.
"...Ohhh, he looks so cool! What an adorable ghost knight!"
A towering suit of golden armor now stood within the Birthing panel, a swirling shadow visible through the small openings between its plates. In its hands rested a long, refined claymore, thin but deadly.
A ghost... turned into a knight. Maddy placed her hands on her hips proudly.
"Boom! Now he looks like a proper child."
Her eyes sparkled mischievously.
"And most importantly..."
She imagined Sephiran seeing it.
"...he won’t scream and run away."
