Now reading: Chapter 78: After Beating My Children, I Cooked Them Dinner from Birthing Legends: My Womb Creates SSS Monsters, a Fantasy novel by JJJR.

After beating the hell out of her children in sparring, Maddy was now aching to feed them a proper monster feast.

She stood before a mountain of ingredients—giant chitinous limbs, thick coils of serpent at, and piles of iridescent wings. Feeding three high-tier chiras, Sephiran, and herself wasn’t sothing she could do at a normal human pace.

"Gotta admit... having more arms would make cooking way easier. But every ogre arms I could grow is already taken by my children..."

She hesitated for a mont, then sighed.

"Dammit. Just for cooking... Lucy, I need more hands. Apply so spider arms."

Lucy responded instantly.

From Maddy’s back, six massive chitinous spider limbs burst outward. Two were the razor sharp, steel blades of the Sword Spider. Two were the needle pointed Spear Spiders. The last pair were broad, armored Shield Spiders, perfect for blocking heat or flipping food like oversized spatulas.

With eight limbs working at once, the kitchen turned into a blur of ani speed choreography.

The Sword Spider limbs flashed through the air, dicing a Super Snake into perfectly uniform dallions in seconds. The Spear Spiders skewered Fang Fly wings and Field Frog legs, dipping them into a bubbling vat of Bulwark Beetle fat. anwhile, Maddy used Fla Cannonball at low output, her human hands acting as controlled furnaces to sear thick Large Lizard steaks to a perfect dium rare.

"And for the drink..."

Maddy pointed toward the massive, severed stomach sacs of the Mammoth Mosquitoes. She had already cleaned them out and filled them with a sweet blend of Floras. From the swollen sacs, she grew long, needle like tubes and handed one to each of her children, turning them into oversized straws.

"And of course... I added a little twist."

She infused the liquid with a faint trace of her Chemical Defense pheromones, altering the flavor profile. The drink gained a sharp, zesty citrus finish that cut through the heavy monster feast perfectly.

As the steaming plates were set onto the table, the siblings gathered around. The tension in the air was still thick. Dyralfa sat stiffly, still nursing her bruised pride, while Sephiran sulked openly, shooting occasional glares at Frovian.

Frovian lifted the swollen stomach of Mammoth Mosquito nectar, holding it like a chalice. He glanced at his siblings, his sharp tongue pausing for the first ti since his birth. For a mont, he seed to weigh his words carefully.

"I... apologize for my earlier conduct."

His voice was calr now, though the pride still lingered in its tone.

"My assessnt of you as ’barbarians’ was... premature. I simply needed to confirm that those standing beside Mother were pillars of strength, not crumbling clay."

He took a breath before continuing.

"If I am to serve as the mind of this family, then I must know that the shield and the sword beside will not shatter."

Dyralfa let out a huff,

"Apology accepted, little frog. But if you call a ’large target’ again, I’ll see if your ’Slick Skin’ can handle a five ton tail slam."

Arach chuckled, his four arms deftly de shelling a Bulwark Beetle leg.

"He ans well, Sister. He simply has a very... ogre-ish thod of showing concern for our survival."

Sephiran giggled, his face already covered in sauce.

"He’s just a big anie pants who likes big words! But he’s family, so it’s okay!"

Maddy watched them quietly. For the first ti since their battles, all of them were simply sitting together, eating. To her, the sight was perfect.

"It’s actually good that your base forms kept their personalities. That’s what gives each of you flavor... what separates you from one another."

She looked across the table at the mismatched group of chiras.

"Different minds, different tempers... just like real siblings. You may fight, you may annoy each other... but in the end, you still sit down and share a al."

But of course, Maddy wasn’t only watching them talk. What she was truly waiting for was their reaction to her cooking. Mothers always wait for that mont.

And the instant finally ca.

Dyralfa lifted a massive Large Lizard steak. She sank her fangs into the thick at, piercing deep as the seared fat burst across her tongue.

BOOM.

Inside her mind, a golden landscape exploded into existence. In the vision, she was hugging a gigantic lizard to death, crushing it with raw strength as rivers of rich, molten fat poured into her body. The dense minerals in the at resonated with her draconic scales, making them vibrate like living armor.

"UNGHHH!"

Dyralfa’s head snapped back. Her muscles bulged involuntarily, her tail slamming against the floor.

"It’s— it’s like my soul is being reinforced! It feels like when I was first born!"

She looked at Maddy with blazing eyes.

"MOTHER! I CAN FEEL MY MIGHT INCREASING WITH EVERY CHEW!"

Frovian took a refined bite of Field Frog sautéed in Fang Fly nectar. His amber eyes widened the mont the flavor touched his tongue.

For him, the world dissolved.

A kaleidoscope of taste exploded across his senses. The sweetness of the nectar acted like a catalyst, amplifying the savory richness of the frog at until the flavor burst into sothing almost mathematical in its precision.

"Preposterous...!"

His pupils dilated as he analyzed the sensation racing through his nerves.

"The acidity... perfectly balanced by the earthy mineral salt. This isn’t rely food—it’s a tactical masterpiece! My nervous system is firing at double speed! This... this is the flavor only a perfect progenitor could create!"

Across the table, Sephiran and Arach had their own reactions.

Sephiran took a huge bite of his own serpent sausage while Arach cracked open another Bulwark Beetle leg. For a mont, both of them froze—eyes going wide, expressions drifting into the sa dreamy trance.

Then they slowly turned to look at each other. And burst into giggles.

"Looks like everyone is experiencing Mother’s heavenly monster feast!" Sephiran laughed, sauce sared across his cheeks.

Arach chuckled, shaking his head as he glanced around the table.

"Look at their faces. They were ready to fight each other earlier... and now they look like hatchlings discovering flavor for the first ti."

Across the table, Maddy simply watched them... And smiled.
