"Seo-ya!" Minjae calls and I turn around, finding him next to Junho, they’re at a good distance away from us but I’m excited to see him.

The rush of joy from today is almost intoxicating.

"Look, I won a plushie for my pup!" I say over the crowd, forgetting that Sooin isn’t really mine.

"Oh, can you win one for my pup too?" my best friends asks happily as he cos closer to us.

"The bear is cute, please win another for my baby too" Minjae says, patting the head of Sooin’s gift.

Wait...did I call Sooin ’my daughter’ in front of her father?

"Okay" I say in a small voice, suddenly conscious of what I just did.

I just called Taesan’s daughter ’my pup’ like it’s normal.

But before I spiral into worry, Taesan wraps his hand around my waist, pressing a kiss to my head.

I don’t know what it is, but I take it as his approval; my alpha is agreeing that Sooin is my daughter.

We play a brief round of the carnival ga and win a bunny.

When it’s ti for Sooin’s school to end, Junho leaves to pick her, and I stay with Taesan in the car.

"Why don’t you ever go to pick her up yourself?" I ask quietly as we wait.
