Seoha’s POV
My body stays frozen as if his word is pinning down to the chair...and I don’t hate it.
’Stay’ just one word has this much effect on .
And although my body is rested and relaxed on the seat, my mind is racing, thinking of how close I had been to getting the alpha angry again.
But I couldn’t keep it to myself...I dare not keep it to myself, no child should hurt like that, no one should hurt a child like that.
I know the alpha loves his daughter, I know...I can tell he adores her, from the way he looks at her, to the way he speaks to her, and the way he caters to her needs tells how much he loves her...but there’s more.
There is too much more and my oga is aching to sort it, to bring a kind of ease for father and daughter...’my alpha and pup’ my oga whines and my heart tightens painfully.
’Don’t speak on things you don’t understand’ he has said to , but how? How can I look away?
My fingers itch to run through my hair but I don’t move them.
I just sit still, watching the tal door the alpha just walked through and wondering what sort of things wait for him behind that door.
’Seoha, it’s none of your business’ I say to myself but my eyes don’t leave the door, not until the phone on the dashboard begins to ring.
without moving my body, I fix my eyes on the screen and see Junho’s na on the screen, and the na of the man reminds of my own friend, Minjae...
"Damn it!" a roar cos from inside the building and all my thoughts are brought to halt.
The door bursts open as Taesan storms out of the building with two n walking behind him, the n look dark and terrifying, but none of them compare to the alpha coming in my direction.
My breath catches in my throat at the commanding steps he takes, possessive and powerful.
A deep scowl decorates his face, making him furrow his brows, his silver-headed cane looks more like a weapon with how he holds it.
"What do you want?" Taesan turns to ask the n behind him, and they stop their movents, keeping their heads bowed before responding, "we are to make sure you follow through" the taller guard says.
In a flash, Taesan grabs the man’s neck, lifting him off the ground while growling like a feral beast.
The shorter guard pulls out his gun and points it at Taesan with shaking hands.
"P-put- put him down!" the scared man stutters while aiming the gun at the mountain like alpha, and Taesan only gives him a simple look and the guard drops the gun, already panting without being touched.
"None of you," Taesan snarls and drops the man to the floor carelessly, "none of you will co with , am I clear?" the alpha says and they both nod, the shorter one picks his partner and they scramble away.
The main door of the building opens and I see the elderly man from the eting room at Mountain Atelier.
The man’s eyes scare , there’s a glint in it that looks like what Taesan suppresses in himself, like...insanity.
"Grandson" the man calls and Taesan turns just enough to look at him.
"Tick tock" the elderly man says and raise his cane to show off the well defined lion head at the handle, almost like a rival against Taesan’s tiger.
Taesan doesn’t respond, he takes off his jacket and shoves it, along with his cane, into the car through the window before he gets in and slams the door shut.
He remains silent, then he suddenly starts the car, zooming out of the driveway recklessly.
The action raises a cloud of smoke, dust and the sll of burning tires.
My heart flies to my throat as he drives down the road at an unreasonable speed, but still under his command, my body stays still and my mouth remains shut even when my eyes water from the cold wind.
The sll of the man is raw with rage, thick sll of smoke overshadows his mountain scent, creating the kind of storm that leaves a person terrified.
My palms are sweaty as I grip the edge of my seat and he only goes faster, making sick and when I can’t take it anymore, a small whimper slips past my lips.
The sound is too little to be heard over the rough noise of tires running over gravel or over the raging roar of the engine, but his head snaps towards and the look in his eyes flicker from anger to pain and back to anger again.
"Fuck" he curses and I turn my head away as the car skids to a stop on the small pieces of land given to one of the least popular clan on the outskirts of the city.
Ki clan.
"Are you okay?" Taesan asks and before my nod is completed, he gets out the car and goes to the back, pulling open the trunk while my fingers refuse to let go of the leather underneath .
I watch him through the small mirror, and when I see him pull out a rifle, my eyes snap up to the banner at the gate.

My eyes lock with the alpha’s in the mirror’s as he loads the gun, muscles bulging underneath stiff white shirt with each action, his eyes are darkening as he stares at staring at him.
I hear a child’s giggle from inside the building and my oga growls at the alpha’s reflection as his attention shifts to the building.
No.
He makes the first step and I jump out of the car, almost falling to the floor and hurting myself, but I don’t care, I grab his shirt and he snarls at .
"What are you doing?" he demands and I shake my head, "I’m not going to let you hurt them" I say and he forces my hand off him and grabs my neck.
"Do you think I want to fucking hurt kids?!" he roars in my face and my eyes widen, "do you think...?" his voice breaks and I see the pain and struggles in his eyes.
The look in his eyes tells all I need to know, and I shake my head, "no" I whisper and he lets go.
"Then get the fuck out of my way" he hisses, cocking the gun.
