It was inching closer to the evening, and slowly, students began to storm out of the schools and head back ho.
Thus, there were a lot of students roaming about in the floors, and from the couple windows, it was possible to see orange light peeking through the clouds.
"...This day has been very fun. I really needed this. The long work hours really take a toll on ."
Chaewon said with a smile.
"I also liked it. Thanks for helping to move and clean. It would’ve otherwise taken twice as long."
Fang Raon said.
They were leaving the sports bar, as it was also getting more crowded now that so of the matches were starting.
There were playoffs of Hard Football happening, so it always got busy during ga ti.
It was even possible to see people wearing the rch of their favorite football teams anywhere in the gaworld.
"It was my pleasure."
Chaewon said with a smile.
She then, out of habit, walked straight to the doorsteps of her apartnt and only noticed it when they arrived there.
"This is my place..."
She said and turned to Fang Raon, who was looking back at her, and there was a twinkle in his eyes that made her heart skip a beat.
"...My mom is at ho."
Chaewon said with disappointnt.
If she weren’t there, she would’ve invited Fang Raon inside, and who knows what could’ve happened.
"Mmh, I understand. I also still have so stuff left to do back at ho, so I should probably get going."
Fang Raon said.
"Okay."
Chaewon said and then slowly approached him and was about to give him a little hug, but then the door opened behind her.
"Chaewon? What are you standing outside for? Did you forget your keys?"
Chaewon flinched, turned quickly around, and saw a gentle-faced woman open the door wide open.
Her mother, Yerin, stood at the doorway and looked at her daughter and then looked at the young man behind her.
"Oh my... Who is this?"
Yerin asked with a smile.
"Mother... This is Fang Raon, the person I’ve been taking care of lately. He got better and was just discharged..."
Chaewon said nervously.
She felt as if she was introducing her boyfriend to her mother, and she knew what kind of person her mother was.
She was only hoping that she wasn’t going to embarrass her!
"Ah... This is the young man I’ve been hearing so much about... Why are you making him stay outside? Bring him in for a coffee!"
Yerin said with a smile.
"Mom..."
Chaewon said, sounding defeated, and she then turned to Fang Raon and asked, "Sorry about my mom... Want to co in?"
"...Sure."
Fang Raon said, entered the apartnt behind her, and then closed the door, cutting off the bustling sound of the 98th floor outside.
’These apartnts are much better at canceling noise from outside. These floors are like miniature cities, so it is good to have good noise canceling because of how loud it can get.
’The apartnts at the 18th floor are horrible at it, but I am not surprised that the apartnts at the 98th floor are much superior in that aspect.’
Fang Raon thought to himself.
He then took off his shoes and looked around the apartnt as he entered the living room.
Yerin went to the kitchen to start brewing so coffee.
"...This is my ho."
Chaewon said with a smile as she looked around the apartnt and started to feel self-conscious about everything.
Would he think it’s ugly? Or too cluttered? Maybe he doesn’t like the decor?
"...It’s really nice."
Fang Raon said in awe.
He thought that this place could be from one of those decoration magazines that show different apartnt design styles.
It was obvious that whoever designed this place put a lot of thought and effort into it.
"Thank you, young man. It wasn’t that good like ten years ago, but then one day, I decided it was ti for a change, and I completely renovated the place."
Yerin said with a smile, and at that mont, the coffee finished brewing, and she poured it into three different cups.
"The coffee is ready~"
They all sat down at the kitchen table.
"Milk or sugar?"
Yerin asked Fang Raon particularly because she already knew that Chaewon liked a lot of milk in hers.
She didn’t like the bitterness of the coffee, so she often added extra milk to hers.
"Milk is fine, thank you."
Fang Raon said, and Yerin poured so milk into his coffee. Just a little bit to change the color from dark brown to a light beige.
"I heard from my daughter that your condition is really serious, and that you might die because of it. How long has it been? Three weeks? Or a month? And you’re already better."
Yerin said.
"...Yeah, I don’t really know how to explain how that happened. The doctors are also at a loss of words."
Fang Raon said.
"They said that it is the biggest dical mystery of this century."
Chaewon said.
"Wow... Well, I am glad that you are now alright, young man. I am sure my daughter will be now quite lonely without you there."
Yerin said with a sly smile.
"Mom..."
Chaewon sighed, as she just wanted to shut her mother’s mouth, as she liked far too much to play around.
"I’ll miss her too."
Fang Raon said with a serious tone.
"Oh~"
Yerin smiled, glanced at her daughter, who was barely able to contain her smile, and then asked.
"Will the two of you still keep in contact? It does look like the two of you are good friends. It would be a sha to lose touch!"
Yerin said.
’You don’t have to act as my wingman, Mom!’
Chaewon scread inwardly.
"We have each other’s phone numbers."
Fang Raon said.
"Mm~"
Yerin smiled and nodded, and they then drank their coffee. It was, however, getting quite late.
"I’ll probably have to head ho now. Thanks for the coffee, and it was really nice to et you."
Fang Raon said.
"Pleasure is all mine~"
Yerin giggled.
"I’ll walk you to the door."
Chaewon jumped up from her seat, walked him to the front door, and watched him put on his shoes.
"And I ant it, by the way... About calling you every day... Have a safe trip back ho."
Chaewon said, and then quickly hugged Fang Raon, and he accepted the hug after a brief surprise.
"I’ll be waiting then."
Fang Raon said with a smile, opened the door, and stepped out, and the door behind him closed quietly.
Chaewon kept staring for a while at the closed door.
"Rember condoms, my dear daughter."
Yerin said from over the living room.
"MOM, STOP IT!"
