Chapter 1236: Settling Sets

"Let's start with this one since I already have soone in mind for this set. These are the robe, the ring, and the orb of Gönndalf.” Putting them on the table one by one, Seth introduced the three items that made up so of Natina's main gear.

“My suggestion would be to give the set, together with the Storm of Death, to Morgana of Team 5,” the blacksmith finished after explaining the abilities of the items. Morgana had already been a candidate for the Storm of Death, but Seth was worried because of her low Willpower attribute.

The staff carried the presence of Furfur, a demon that should not be underestimated. Without proper Willpower and ntal strength, it was hard not to be corrupted by such power. The problem was that it seed like a waste to gear her full equipnt toward willpower, just to carry the staff, when it wasn't her main or necessarily secondary attribute as a mage.

The powers of the Gönndalf-set could fix that, as it not only ca with a good boost to willpower but also the legendary effect of Never Lost Hope. Like the Blessing of Lethe, it protected against ntal ailnts as well as raising willpower. It countered exactly what the bard was worried about.

Seth shared his thoughts with the assembled mbers, but the resistance was not as strong as he would have expected. In fact, there was none at all. Although so seed to think about the set, many casters in Minas Mar already owned Lunacy Sets or tailor-made items by Neeco Boos, and they were not willing to give them up for the legendary set, despite the resurrection effect.

“Thank you,” Morgana said ekly, slightly overwheld as she took her new equipnt. Morgana returned to her seat with four new legendary items and a slight skip in her gate. Suddenly she had beco one of the mbers with the most legendary items, but nobody was jealous of her.

“This is an individual item, that also belonged to Gönndalf, but is not part of the Set, Gönndalf's To,” Seth introduced the last item of Gönndalf. The to that gave strong buffs on magic and mana and allowed the use of one of Gönndalf's spells once per day was a lot more popular than the set.

It spawned a heated debate with almost every eligible mage, except Morgana, taking part. Despite focusing on alchemy lately, it was Alison who outmaneuvered the others with unexpected eloquence in the debate and claid the to for herself.

Albeit, Seth suspected that she wasn't after the book for the item effects, but the knowledge within. Thanks to her title, she gained power simply by gathering knowledge. The higher the quality of the knowledge.

She would probably even have fun, trying to decode the text of the book. Seth lost interest in trying to read it the mont he looked at the pages and realized they were encoded in so way, since even couldn't make sense of the gibberish.

The alchemist ca to the front. Her usual expressionless, tired face didn't betray whether she was actually happy to get the to, but her quick steps and the way she snatched it from his hands made it obvious that she was excited.

“The next set would be Aela's Set. Like the Healing Gloves, it was made by the Arachne master tailor,” Seth introduced the set of gugel, gloves, and shirt one by one to the crowd, explaining their effects.

Apart from the gaudy hat, this was technically a set for a thief-type class, taking into account the high boosts to dexterity, agility, lowered presence, and ability of 3-dinsional movent along any surface.

There were two people Seth had in mind that could profit from this set the most and there were three hands that rose in the air, one a little hesitant. One of the people Seth had in mind was Mina, but his girlfriend had not tried to claim the legendary set.

Of the three people raising their hands, Seth had only expected Archer, since he thought that it fit very well with his sniper-style class as a Chosen of Satet. The other two were Misto and the archer from Ortega's party, who had raised her hand hesitatingly. The three looked at each other. Archer sighed a lowered his hand.

“I already have my legendary equipnt, I will survive without this set,” he conceded the set to the newbie in the field teams. It was a sha, Seth would have wanted to see Archer wear the funny hat. Misto had also lowered his hand at the sa ti as Archer, but he stayed silent about his reasons.

“I guess this set goes to you...Caldar,” Seth announced, almost not rembering the man's na. well, seeing this guy in a snow white gugel, blouse and gloves was also a sight to behold. But as the old saying goes, stats over looks. Right?

Although Seth found the look quite funny, Caldar owned it as he happily strutted back to his seat beside Ortega and the rest of his group. With Gönndalf and Aela out of the way, that only left a single set to be handed out.

The Staff of the Necrotic Ruler, the circlet of the Necrotic Ruler, and the Ring of the Necrotic Ruler were carefully placed on the table as Seth explained their powers. Although each item was on the level of a relic, none of them was legendary. It was their set effect that was legendary.

“These three items were a set used by “The Necrotic Ruler”. Together they halve the cost to raise, control, and upkeep giant and legendary undead while lowering the cost of any other undead by 80%, but the effects are halved for the living.”

Seth could actually see Evee stare at the items with big puppy eyes. If it wasn't for her Death Set even killing her in her undead state, if incomplete, she could have used this as a secondary set when she resurrected as an undead. Unfortunately, Evee was the only necromancer who wanted the set.

Looking at Al, who was a lich for almost two centuries, she signaled that she had no interest in this set. Next, the bard looked for Jack Felton, to see whether they had any promising candidate among the Oathguard, but the man waved his hand signaling no interest.

Seth could have figured as much, there weren't many mages in the oath guard, since they only recently were able to offer fabric sets for casters, thanks to Neeco, Nädel, and Nädel's apprentices. Not many mages wanted to join, even if the oath armor was great, even individualized it was not the best for casters.

Seth's mage armors were sothing reserved for the field teams. This led to very few mages joining the Oathguard, especially since the duties of the oathguard were nothing that helped them raise their skills for many of them. So there were few mages and necromancer was a very rare class among them.

Not just because there were few who even got the opportunity, but because very few chose to take it. Who wanted to deal with rotting corpses all day long, when they had better alternatives? No wonder there wasn't a second one among the mbers of Minas Mar. The blacksmith could only let out a sigh.

“I guess we will have to put these on a back burner until we raise another necromancer,” he said a little disappointed.

“Or we sell them,” Al suggested out of nowhere. She sounded absolutely serious. The spicy sorceress wanted to sell the stuff that couldn't be bought no matter the money. She wanted to sell away items that could be counted as royal treasures! She- was absolutely right. ṝâŊóВÈṡ

“Not the worst idea,” the bard mumbled. Right, these legendary items were of imasurable value- for others. Seth was able to pump out legendary items regularly and they were definitely better than the set, even if their effect was not as unique.

Sothing in high demand that money couldn't buy, but he was able to sell just that. Just how much would they be able to extort out of potential buyers?

“And you even have a quasi-ally that is really unto all things undead.” Mary didn't fail to ntion. Yes, Arget Nore would be even more interested in this set. This needed so more thought, but Seth couldn't help but imagine what he could get out of them

If he could exchange the three items for wagons of epic irons or silver ore, it was like he got the license to print money! Or legendary items in this case.

“... but couldn't you also try taking them apart?” Wedan asked curious.
