On the battlefield, everyone could sense it clearly.

At the sa ti, it took no thought to realize that Kyōraku had been defeated.

"Shunsui!"

Yamamoto, who was currently locked in a fierce struggle with several enemies, felt his expression tighten as he perceived Kyōraku's spiritual pressure fading.

But before he could dwell on it, a pitch-black mace swung directly toward his face.

"Die, old man!"

The mace, crackling with lightning, struck with imnse weight and force.

Yamamoto reacted instantly, swinging his blade with resolve.

Bang!

The blade and mace collided, producing a dull, heavy thud.

A massive sword swept in horizontally from the other side.

The blade glowed with a white light, its edge sweeping toward Yamamoto.

Just as the edge reached him, Yamamoto shifted his stance.

The sword and mace collided instead, sending shockwaves spreading in every direction, further shattering the already ruined ground.

Even Kaido, clutching his mace, couldn't help but feel a sharp pain in his hands as they trembled uncontrollably.

"Whitebeard, you old geezer, watch where you're aiming before you strike!"

"Shut it, brat!"

Whitebeard pulled back his blade, ignoring Kaido's shouting as he looked up into the air.

Yamamoto was panting heavily in mid-air, having narrowly escaped the pincer attack at the critical mont.

But before he could steady his footing, a white shadow lood over him.

He looked up to see a giant woman wreathed in flas, treading on lightning, and wielding a massive blade that hissed through the air as it whistled toward him.

The blade had a strange appearance, with a mouth and eyes growing from its surface, emitting a series of ghostly shrieks.

"Mama, now!"

"Old man, take another one of my hits!"

Charlotte Linlin shouted as her blade, Napoleon, struck down with power.

Flas danced upon Garp's broken blade, but just as he swung it, a youth wreathed in flas suddenly lunged out from his side.

The youth reached out, unleashing a torrent of rolling fire toward Garp.

Garp was forced to change direction, swinging his blade at the youth. Fire erupted from the blade with a roar, countering the encroaching inferno.

anwhile, Linlin's Napoleon was already descending toward the top of Garp's head.

Garp tilted his body slightly and clenched his free hand, finding the perfect mont to punch the flat of Napoleon's blade!

Boom!

An imnse force surged through the sword, causing even Charlotte Linlin herself to slide several ters to the side.

"Tsk! This old man really is a monster!"

Usually, it was they who were referred to as monsters.

They never expected that even after teaming up—despite being legends who stood at the peak of the seas during their lifetis—they still wouldn't be able to take this old man down after so long.

He truly lived up to the title of the strongest Shinigami; his strength was the real deal.

No wonder Ren was so wary of this old fellow!

"Keep up the pressure! Don't give him any chance to release his Bankai!"

Sengoku shouted, seizing the opening Charlotte Linlin had created. As Garp was tangled with Ace, he struck out decisively.

The majestic, dignified Golden Buddha leaped into the air and unleashed a palm strike toward Garp!

A violent shockwave followed, crashing down like an overwhelming tidal wave.

Boom!

A massive handprint appeared on the shattered ground.

The air surged with force like a hurricane, carrying rubble and broken stone as it swept in every direction.

The ground beneath them was cleared in an instant.

A small fla flickered up from the earth, coalescing back into Ace's form.

Looking up at the golden statue descending from the sky, the youth's freckled face carried a hint of annoyance.

"Hey, old man Sengoku, you almost caught in that too!"

"Stop complaining. Can't you just turn into your elent?"

Sengoku replied, his gaze fixed on the center of the palm print.

A hand reached out from the ground and pushed off with sudden force, allowing the figure to leap out instantly.

It was Garp!

Before he could make another move, a tall figure suddenly flashed behind him.

A massive bisento, carrying savage power, swept horizontally toward Garp!

Garp didn't have ti to think. He tried to leap away, but the strange sword with the mouth and eyes blocked his path, forcing him to defend.

Blocking the attacks from both sides with a blade and a fist, Garp's heart sank.

There was no doubt about it—every single one of these opponents was a master!

If he only used Shikai, he could barely maintain the stalemate.

But if he wanted to achieve victory, it would take forever.

His only choice was to settle it with Bankai!

Garp thought as much, but the enemy's offensive was relentless.

As soon as he blocked one person's attack, the next would arrive, giving him absolutely no ti to release his Bankai.

The push and pull of offense and defense between the two sides had dragged on until now!

"Worororo! Old man, you can't run anymore!"

Kaido appeared above Garp, his mace coming down with savage intent.

"Vajra: Thunder Bagua!"

Garp looked up as the mace drew closer, nearly touching his face.

anwhile, on another part of the battlefield.

Aizen stood atop an iceberg. Sensing the rapid decline of Kyōraku's spiritual pressure, he slowly retracted his gaze.

Behind him, Tōsen Kana frowned slightly. "Kyōraku Shunsui has lost. It seems the masters under Ren are all quite capable."

Aizen's expression remained unchanged. "That was predictable. It is not worth ntioning."

Even if Kyōraku had managed to win a round, the overall situation of the war would remain unchanged.

The power of a single captain was ultimately too small.

"Yes, Lord Aizen."

Tōsen no longer dwelled on the matter, turning his ear slightly toward the frozen earth below.

On the ice-covered ground, Unohana Kuzan and Kuchiki were engaged in a fierce battle of offense and defense.

Sensing Kyōraku's spiritual pressure dropping rapidly, Unohana Kuzan's eyes narrowed slightly.

"Even Captain Kyōraku was defeated?!"

She had a fair understanding of Kyōraku's strength.

She had hoped he could at least eliminate an enemy and ease the pressure on Yamamoto.

She never expected he would lose so quickly.

"Arara, you're getting distracted."

Just as Unohana Kuzan felt shaken, a voice suddenly sounded from her side.

Kuchiki had broken through her layers of defense at so point and closed the distance.

"Way of Destruction—"

Unohana Kuzan reacted imdiately, about to turn and release Kido to counter.

But Kuchiki's attack was faster than hers.

A wave of frost washed over her, and Unohana Kuzan was instantly covered in a layer of ice crystals.

Bang, bang, bang!

Unohana Kuzan's spiritual pressure erupted all at once. Her body trembled, shattering all the ice crystals covering her.

But before she could break free from the ice, a thick palm had already gripped her arm.

The grip was so strong it caused her pain.

At the sa ti, a bone-chilling cold traveled up her arm and into her body.

"Why don't you just stay still?"

Kuchiki leaned over slightly, looking down at Unohana Kuzan.

"That's not going to happen!"

Unohana Kuzan twisted her body violently, unexpectedly breaking free from Kuchiki's grip.

Feeling a surge of joy, she moved her feet and flashed a short distance away.

Looking back at Kuchiki, Unohana Kuzan suddenly froze, a look of shock appearing on her face.

In Kuchiki's hand was a frost-covered severed arm, which he was gently waving at her.

"Sigh, I told you to stay still."

Unohana Kuzan looked down to see that the arm previously grabbed was gone.

The severed surface didn't even bleed; it was covered in a layer of ice crystals, and the outermost flesh had been frozen solid.

And yet, she hadn't even noticed her arm had been severed just now.

Feeling carefully now, there was no pain, but rather a strange sensation of warmth flowing through her entire body.

The experienced Unohana Kuzan understood imdiately.

"Extre cold!"

The excessively low temperature had blocked her subtle physical sensations, making her perception incredibly sluggish.

Kuchiki tossed the severed arm aside and scratched his head.

"Correct. That is the terrifying part of low temperatures."

"The cold made you lose your proper physical sensations; you didn't even know your arm was frozen stiff."

"Your movent just now was too large. You essentially severed your own arm."

He reached out and pointed at Unohana Kuzan.

"You should be able to sense it now. Don't you feel a sort of warm, cozy sensation instead of the cold?"

"That's an illusion. It's the illusion your body gives you when you're about to freeze to death."

As an expert in this field, Kuchiki knew the symptoms of freezing to death all too well.

Generally speaking, those who freeze to death don't have contorted expressions; instead, they often wear a strange, happy smile.

And that is simply the body's instinctive physiological response after losing temperature.

"Captain Unohana Kuzan, you are currently in a state of hypothermia. You won't be able to hold out much longer!"

"...You're right." Unohana Kuzan was an excellent healer and knew these conditions well.

She wasn't just missing an arm; even the skin on her body was turning an unnatural shade of yellow, completely devoid of color.

"I probably won't be able to last much longer..."

The mont this thought surfaced, Unohana Kuzan's expression dimd.

In this state, even if she swung her blade, she wouldn't necessarily be a match for her opponent.

Just then, another spiritual pressure suddenly plumted.

Unohana Kuzan was startled once again, her gaze darting toward the direction of that spiritual pressure.

"Is that... Captain Ginrei?!"

"Captain Ginrei? Ah, that old man fighting Mr. Retsu."

Kuchiki also sensed the decline of that familiar spiritual pressure. He turned his head, though his face didn't show much surprise.

"After all, it is Mr. Retsu. Even a one-in-a-million master would never be his match."

"If anything, to be able to struggle against Mr. Retsu for so long before losing, that Captain nad Ginrei is quite the formidable master." Kuchiki's face revealed absolute confidence and pride in Retsu.

In the distance, on the completely shattered ground.

A sword wound on Retsu's forehead was slowly bleeding, the blood dripping down his cheek.

Looking at the fallen Ginrei Yamamoto before him, he slowly exhaled, his clenched fists gradually relaxing.

"Whew... what a persistent guy."

Ginrei Yamamoto looked wretched at this mont, completely devoid of his usual noble appearance.

His haori and shihakusho were in tatters, he was covered in blood, and purple bruises from punches were clearly visible on his face.

His Zanpakutō, broken into several pieces, lay scattered beside him.

Cough, cough... Pfft!

Ginrei Yamamoto coughed twice before spitting out a mouthful of blood.

Using the last of his strength, he propped himself up and looked at Retsu.

"Truly... a monster..."

In the battle just now, the enemy before him hadn't used any weapons. He had used only his fists to shatter the Zanpakutō, every strike aid at his head.

He had managed to struggle for a while, but in the end, he was still defeated.

Since becoming a captain, Ginrei Yamamoto had never encountered such a ridiculous opponent.

He opened his mouth to say sothing more, but a wave of dizziness hit his head, and he could no longer stay conscious.

He collapsed entirely, his eyes rolling back as all clarity vanished.

Seeing Ginrei Yamamoto completely unconscious, his bruised and swollen face devoid of expression, Retsu slowly let out a long breath, a flash of joy from victory appearing on his face.

"This battle is my win!"

He turned his head toward the soldiers rushing over from the distance and waved.

"Hey, you guys, co over here and get him tied up."

"Yes, Vice Admiral Retsu!"

The soldiers in heavy armor ran over, gave Retsu a military salute, and took out ropes to bind the unconscious Ginrei Yamamoto.

Back on the frozen ground, the pride on Kuchiki's face hadn't faded when he heard Unohana Kuzan's voice from across the way.

"The person who defeated Captain Ginrei is nad Retsu?"

"It seems you are very familiar with this person nad Retsu."

Sensing that Ginrei Yamamoto's spiritual pressure was now almost non-existent, Unohana Kuzan's face turned completely grim.

Kyōraku Shunsui and Ginrei Yamamoto had fallen one after another, and she was almost at her limit herself.

Only Head Captain Garp was still holding on.

Even if Garp used his Bankai with the intent to destroy the world, given the relaxed atmosphere on Ren's side since the war began, they would surely have a counterasure.

At this mont, she suddenly lost the confidence she initially had in their victory.

Kuchiki's voice sounded again.

"You an Mr. Retsu?"

"He is my teacher. He taught much during his life; he is my benefactor."

Noticing the change in Unohana Kuzan's expression, Kuchiki shook his head and sighed.

"It seems you've finally realized the situation. Since the start of this war, your side never had any chance of victory."

"You're right. No matter how optimistic we are, we can't see much hope of winning on our side..." The gloom on Unohana Kuzan's face receded, and she looked up, her expression becoming incredibly determined.

Those eyes brightened at that mont, revealing an unprecedented level of emotion.

"But even if we won't win, that is no reason for our Gotei officers to give up the fight."

Looking at Unohana Kuzan in this state, Kuchiki frowned, then showed a helpless expression.

This was... a resolve to die.

"Arara, I knew it would be like this."

"In that case, I will respect your choice."

While speaking, Kuchiki waved his hand, and the surrounding temperature dropped once more.

The cold wind howled, carrying that soul-chilling low temperature as it swept in every direction.

Just as Unohana Kuzan looked warily at Kuchiki, her mind highly focused, a voice with a strange tone suddenly sounded behind her.

"Oh ho~ You've been fighting Kuchiki for so long and still haven't finished?"

"As expected of the Gotei 13 captains, every one of you is so strong."

Hearing this voice, Unohana Kuzan was startled, her eyes widening in an instant.

She spun around violently and looked back.

A tall man was standing behind her.

'When? I didn't even notice?!' The man wore a yellow suit and a Justice coat, looking through his sunglasses with interest at the battlefield.

It was Borsalino.

Seeing him, Kuchiki's expression remained unchanged as he scratched his head. "When did you get here?"

"Just now. After finishing off that captain nad Kyōraku, I happened to see your fight here and ca to take a look." Borsalino kept his hands in his pockets, his expression relaxed.

"It looks like you're about to finish up here too."

His gaze shifted down toward Unohana Kuzan, his voice carrying a hint of playfulness.

"Isn't that right, Captain lady?"
