3rd Division.
Having heard that a new Captain was about to take office, the mbers of the 3rd Division couldn't help but discuss amongst themselves.
"I heard his na is Amagai Shusuke. Have any of you heard of him?"
"No."
"A complete newcor whose na we haven't even heard, and he's going to be our Captain? How annoying!"
"I heard he's from the Hueco Mundo Expeditionary Force, just returned to the Soul Society after finishing their campaign in Hueco Mundo."
"That kind of thing doesn't matter. The problem is, a new face none of us knows suddenly shows up to be our Captain. How can we possibly trust that guy!"
"Well, that being said, Lieutenant Kira is also really..."
Speak of the devil, and he appears. Just as they were talking, Kira walked out of the barracks.
"Good... good day, everyone."
Kira greeted them sowhat awkwardly.
However, the 3rd Division's mbers did not respond, rely looking at him with so disdain.

Although the muttering wasn't loud, Kira still heard it.
Anyone else would have been furious, but Kira just awkwardly scratched his head.

"It's Captain Hitsugaya. Why is he here?"

Toshiro pointed to Shusuke beside him.
Hearing Toshiro's words, everyone looked at Shusuke with questioning and dissatisfied eyes.
The 3rd Division's mbers were very dissatisfied with this new Captain who had suddenly arrived out of the blue, resisting Shusuke from the bottom of their hearts.
If Shusuke wanted to win over the 3rd Division's mbers, he would undoubtedly have to put in a great deal of effort.
Back when Toshiro graduated from the Shin'o Academy, the reason he didn't accept Yamamoto's invitation to beco a Lieutenant in the 1st Division, but instead went to the 10th Division as a 3rd Seat, was precisely because of this.
Suddenly being told that a stranger would be their Captain, ordinary people would inevitably feel resistant.
So after graduating, Toshiro directly chose to join the 10th Division, then slowly won over its mbers. When Isshin left the Soul Society, Toshiro logically took over the 10th Division.
When Toshiro beca Captain, not a single mber of the 10th Division objected… instead, they all cheered with joy.
Well, in the hearts of the 10th Division's mbers back then, Toshiro was even more beloved than Isshin, the actual Captain.
"Hey, Shusuke, aren't you going to greet your mbers?"
Toshiro quietly nudged Shusuke, who had been staring at him with a hostile look.
"Hmph, my purpose has already been exposed. I don't believe you'll still kindly let be Captain."
Shusuke lowered his voice as well.
"Well, I told you, you're mistaken. Go on, greet them."
Toshiro said.
Shusuke hesitated for a mont, then stepped forward and greeted everyone: "Everyone, I am Amagai Shusuke. It's an honor to serve as the Captain of the 3rd Division."
"Ah, hello, Captain Shusuke. I am Kira Izuru, the Lieutenant of the 3rd Division."
Kira smiled amicably at Shusuke.
However, as soon as Kira finished speaking, a 3rd Division's mber stepped forward and questioned, "Well... up until yesterday, the 3rd Division had been working without a Captain. Even if you suddenly appear and say you want to be our Captain..."
"Oh, that's right!"
Toshiro suddenly interrupted, "The reason I ca to the 3rd Division with Captain Amagai this ti is mainly because I'm very curious about his strength. So, could you trouble us to take us to the training ground? I'd like to have a sparring match with Captain Amagai."

They agreed to Toshiro's request for two reasons. First, because Toshiro was not only the Captain of the 10th Division but also the Vice-Captain-Commander of the Gotei 13, they dared not disobey his orders.
Second, the 3rd Division's mbers also wanted to see the strength of this new Captain, Shusuke.

Toshiro and Shusuke stood facing each other, one looking relaxed and composed, the other grave and silent.

"Who do you think will win, Captain Hitsugaya or the new Captain?"
