Renji glanced back at the academy's main gate, sowhat displeased. "That Toshiro guy, good grief. Said he'd treat us to celebrate our graduation. Why isn't he here yet? He's not trying to back out, is he?"
Momo gave Renji an unhappy glare, then pouted. "Hitsugaya must have been delayed by sothing. He's very busy, after all. The 10th Division's Captain and Lieutenant, Rangiku-san, aren't reliable. I hear he handles all the division's work."
Tap, tap, tap...
Just then, footsteps approached.
"Sorry, Momo, Izuru, Renji. I'm late."
Toshiro had rushed over at full speed after escaping Zaraki.
Toshiro explained to the group, "I was planning to co early, but unexpectedly ran into so Hollows, quite a few of them. Although it didn't take much effort to deal with them, I then ran into that Kenpachi guy, who insisted on fighting ."
Momo worriedly asked, "You ran into Hollows? Are you alright, Hitsugaya?"

If Toshiro was only 'a bit' strong, then Soul Society had no strong people left.
Toshiro glanced at the three, hesitating slightly as he asked, "Rukia still hasn't co?"
Hearing this, Renji's body stiffened. His voice was sowhat low. "Yeah. Haven't seen her since the exams finished."

Toshiro patted Renji's shoulder in comfort.

Then he said to the tavern owner standing nearby, "Owner, two more bottles of good sake."
The tavern owner said respectfully, "Yes, Sir Hitsugaya. One mont, please."
Toshiro had eaten here before while patrolling this area. The food was excellent, which is why he chose it today.
The tavern owner knew Toshiro's identity, so he didn't dare be negligent. Soon, the food and drinks were all served.

Even if Toshiro were to launch a rebellion against Soul Society now, Momo would follow him into battle.
So Toshiro wasn't worried Momo would change her heart. But being near Aizen was too dangerous. As for the Lieutenant position, it wouldn't be too late for her to beco the 5th Division's Lieutenant after Aizen betrayed Soul Society.
Although Momo voiced so dissatisfaction, she didn't refuse Toshiro's request. Instead, she seed sowhat secretly pleased.
Toshiro put an arm around Momo's shoulder, saying seriously, "Momo, long-distance relationships aren't good. Although the Gotei 13's Divisions are close, we'd only have chances to et during free ti. If you co to the 10th Division, we can be together every day. What's bad about that?"
Momo blushed. "Alright..."
