Capítulo 583: Outgunned, Outmatched but not Down!

Why did the Monster explain everything? Nikolai’s mind raced at maximum speed, trying to understand or piece together the reason. That’s when he noticed sothing bizarre, which convinced him.

‘This is!?’

His eyes widened, noticing the slow surge and growth of energy swarming into this realm through the cracks behind them.

The familiar energy swept across Nikolai’s skin, like a mother’s gentle caress, as if the excess energy was sohow seeking him.

‘Does the energy keep flowing and remain trapped here because I am here?’

“No wonder!”

The longer he remained, the stronger the Tyrant beca.

It wasn’t the kindness of so old monster, nor was the information sothing important. To these demon bastards, they used whatever was needed to delay Nikolai’s action. Once they gathered enough of the Earth’s power, they made a move.

“Phew, haa….haa…ha….”

Nikolai gathered his ssy breathing after fighting for hours outside, then being dragged into this hot, humid world with a sour taste that made his stomach churn. He struggled to breathe properly.

‘Well, this should be quite dangerous.’

An almost endless number of imps appeared from the portal above. Nikolai faced a four-tre Tyrant and hundreds of dogs.

What made him the most nervous were the floating eyes, their powers and abilities still unknown to him. And yet, the black blood flowing within his veins throbbed violently. A thrilling sense of excitent grew as the massive army of demons approached.

Was there even a way out of here?

He didn’t know.

And so he stopped thinking, his muscles bulged, and bones cracked, growing larger as black fur grew from his limbs, standing at a comfortable eight feet tall, his fear and sense of danger beca vague.

“Let’s dance, you ugly fuckers.”

The Heaven-Slaying spear grew with his body. Its blade extended five or six inches and beca at least an inch or two thicker to match his massive palms. Nikolai’s lips curled upward as his maw filled with sharp fangs.

Two focused eyes watched the approaching demons with a cold stare.

He no longer feared them.

The only one they feared was him.

A certain soundtrack began to play in his mind, the low bass and guitar repeating the simple, but heavy riff. It was a soundtrack for a particular gun in a ga called Calamity. But spelt with the word Doom.

A distant sound like a car alarm sounded in his mind as the imps dashed towards him, the song’s introductory riff ending.

‘Dick Jordon is a god.’

With the last thought, the blood-red sun reflected from his silver spear.

He stepped off the ground, cracking the dry, desolate dirt, sending huge red cracks through the land like a myriad of spiderwebs weaving in all directions.

Boom!

The power of a werewolf leaping created a loud shockwave, denting the ground as he flew at the demons with a frenzied howl. As he landed, Nikolai twirled his big fucking spear before slamming it like Son Wukong, shattering a massive column of imps with the burst of black flas.

“Co on!”

[You inferior dog!]

Angry at his taunts, the Tyrant’s massive figure dashed forward, each step shaking the world like a minor earthquake.

The Tyrant’s charge split the battlefield.

It’s every step pulverised bone and flesh beneath its feet, the black stage cracked as if it were cheap glass. The imps scattered instinctively, screeching as the pressure alone crushed dozens into paste.

Yet Nikolai faced it with a twisted grin.

Boom!

The Heaven-Slaying spear collided with the Tyrant’s forearm, black flas bursting outward like a detonated furnace. The impact hurled Nikolai backwards, his heels carving trenches through the red dirt before he dug the spear into the ground and stopped himself.

“Tch.” He spat blood onto the ground while steam hissed from his palm.

‘This is quite dangerous, but I am so excited.’

The simple exchange sent painful pulses through his arms, leaving his bones humming from the force.

‘Motherfucker is heavy.’

Despite his jump, the Tyrant barely rocked from the blow; instead, the wound across its forearm rapidly healed.

With a condescending tone, it spoke again.

[Your power isn’t enough, facing an enemy you don’t understand!]

Its voice carried imnse force, booming outward as if to crush Nikolai’s spirits. No longer confined to his mind, it showed it was serious this ti.

The floating “eyes” drifted higher, forming a loose ring above the battlefield, their pupils dilating in unison while focused on a single spot.

Nikolai.

‘What the!?’

His Báthory blood art activated, and a sudden vision of him being blown apart flashed for less than an instant. In that ti, the eyes began to glow bright blue. As energy gathered at the centre of their eyes, Nikolai stepped back.

Instead of waiting, he lunged at the dogs and imps.

Nikolai twisted, sweeping the spear in a wide arc. Black fire roared as it cleaved through bodies, tearing beasts apart mid-leap. Blood and viscera rained down with his body, sizzling as they struck the heated ground.

Bzzzzzt!

The eyes didn’t have the chance to change their aim, sending a dozen concentrated beams of pure plasma into the ground, causing a dust explosion.

Nikolai kept his montum.

He stepped forward again, driving the spear through another wave, using montum instead of finesse. This fight wasn’t so kind of duel or honour battle; he was fighting for his life. It was a culling!

Yet sothing felt wrong. It started as a bit of annoyance at most at first. But with every demon that died, Nikolai felt it more and more; sothing tugged around him. Sothing tore apart the energy he’d usually absorbed to grow stronger, splitting it between three things.

Himself.

The Tyrant.

And Hell, itself!

The cracks in the air behind the throne pulsed brighter, threads of familiar energy bleeding through, then vanishing as if swallowed or pulled through the gaps by another existence.

‘So that’s it.’

The fallen tower wasn’t just a gate.

It was a funnel.

“You’re using ,” Nikolai snarled, twisting the spear and ripping it free from a demon’s skull.

The Tyrant, although powerful and big, lacked speed, raising its arm as the floating eyes’ skin bubbled and deford.

‘He’s trying to avoid fighting directly!?’

The floating eyes scread.

A wave of plasma distortion slamd into Nikolai like a hamr, compressing space around his body. The sudden blast sent him flying like a kite. His muscles locked, fur standing on end as invisible pressure tried to fold him inward.

[You are nothing but bait!]

Nikolai’s eyes, nose and lips dripped blood from the imnse pressure. As if soone put his body inside a hydraulic press, the plasma discharge crushed him against the solid black throne.

Black blood surged violently through his veins as his form distorted, the nostalgically deford claws, his elongated limbs and the hellish maw that resembled no wolf or werewolf Nikolai knew.

Like a deford mutant aberration.

Crack—!

The ground beneath Nikolai exploded as he forced himself upright, raw strength tearing through the distortion. He roared with a bizarre, inhumane tone, with black veins bulging from his flesh, pumping rapidly.

Then hurled the silver spear at the Tyrant.

The weapon beca a streak of silver and black, tearing straight through one of the floating eyes. It burst like an overripe fruit, ichor spraying across the sky.

Vwoom!

A low, distant howl overwheld the world, destroying the pressure, plasma and cutting through half the floating eyes.

With a twisted, monstrous grin, Nikolai leapt again, his body flying halfway up the monolith. His claws gouged into the black stone as he climbed higher.

[W-What?!]

Stunned, the Tyrant’s eyes burned with a golden fla. He watched little imps clinging to Nikolai, stabbing wildly, trying to tear his flesh apart.

[Monster!]

Nikolai slamd his head against the tower, shattering the black stones, before he jumped against it. He crushed them against the wall with his forearms, snapping bodies like twigs.

The Tyrant caught up and swung his massive hand at the werewolf. With a fist the size of a carriage, he smashed against the structure, blasting Nikolai with a shockwave that flung him into the air.

Using his tail, Nikolai wrapped around the tower, his body floating as he twisted midair, landing on the black altar below, rolling with the force.

His lungs burned.

The tightness of his muscles felt as if soone were constantly crushing his limbs and tearing them apart.

Because of his landing, the cracks behind the throne widened, and sothing else began to push through with a low groan.

Living Structures.

Flesh pillars rose where the ground split, veins pulsing as if pumped by a colossal heart. Chains erupted from the dirt, anchoring them in place.

[You cannot escape.]

The Tyrant walked towards Nikolai, slower and more confident, his huge fists clenched at either side.

[The tower has completed its purpose.]

Nikolai spat blood onto the ground, grinning at the annoying goat man. “Yeah?” He rolled his shoulders, black flas crawling over his fur. “But you picked the wrong bastard to ss with. I have too many wives waiting back ho. And they’re all dying to nag right now.”

[…So?]

“So I have a lot of fucking steam to burn through!”

Then his gaze left the demon; instead, with jet-black eyes, he found the floating energy which leaked away from him.

‘Oh no, you don’t!’

With a confident grin, Nikolai grabbed the energy, like a handful of Slim Jims, and stuffed it into his mouth. The taste was awful, like rotting at, poached eggs and burned cabbage.

[No! STOP!]

Nikolai looked up, and for the first ti, he sensed the confusion and sense of fear from the Tyrant.

Yes, Nikolai was inferior in strength.

However, if he managed to devour the energy they painstakingly tried to gather?

“Oh yes!”
