In a far away place, in an area covered in perpetual darkness, there was a highly ornate darkly colored room with a gothic style to it.
In the room was a large rectangular table with 13 chairs, and on the walls behind each of the chairs was a purple fla. Every fla had a person sitting in front of them, all except for one.
There was a large variety of people sitting in the chairs, both n and won, young and old, light skinned and dark skinned. There was one thing they all had in common, however, and it was their glowing red eyes.
Everyone was silent, looking at the purple fla without a person sitting there.
That was when a single man at the head of the table loudly cleared his throat, gaining the attention of all the people present.
"As we can all see, the 10th’s fla has turned on once again, but we don’t know how long this will last."
"It’s flickered on a few tis in the past few weeks, does this an he’s back?" A man asked.
"No, our reports stated he died long ago," An armored person replied.
"How would you explain the flickering then?" A woman wondered.
"I believe he had passed on his power to soone, and its only now did they start a new family," another person said, "The lingering fla must have been the result of a new vampire no longer matching the aura of the old."
"But it’s been over five hundred years!" A different woman questioned, "Why start a new family now?"
That was when the man at the head of the table cleared his throat once again, and the others silenced.
"I do not know how, or why the fla has burned once again, but what we do know is that we must find this new family, and bring them in as soon as possible. Make sure they will uphold our laws, and if not, we shall get rid of them all."
Those in the seats nodded, most nodding yes, so nodding no, but there was a person on the opposite end of the table, the one in the 13th seat, who had a different idea all together.
As the council eting ended, they returned back to their place of residence, including the 13th mber.
This man looked to be in his 40s, but could very well be more than twice that age with how vampires aged, and had both black and silver hair combed back. All together, he looked liked an older version of a certain red eyed, slick backed hair teenager, except his chin had a goatee.
This was because he was the father of Fex.
As he returned to his ho, a large gothic castle, he sat on his throne and ordered a servant to bring his knights for a eting.
The servant obliged, and he sat there, tapping his fingers on the arm rest.
Soon, the servant brought in 5 knights, and they were all kneeling in front of their leader.
"Have we received any more news?" The man in the throne asked.
"Yes, Sir Lee, we’ve managed to narrow down his whereabouts. According to our sources, we believe he’s been taken to a human military base," one of the subordinates spoke.
Lee, the man in the throne, slapped his head and deeply sighed.
"That boy will be the ruin of the family," he muttered, "The silly boy never paid any attention to his classes, yet he always listened to my father’s crazy stories... Do we know which one?"
"Unfortunately, we do not. We have tried to figure out which military base it is, but without the proper resources, there is only so much we could do," a different subordinate spoke.
Lee sat there, contemplating what to do. When Fex had mysteriously disappeared one day, the news had spread that the 13th’s very own heir had vanished. Because of this, their family had beco the laughing stock of all the vampires.
He still rembered that eting as it happened a little bit before the purple light turned on. The other vampire leaders restricted the 13th’s family’s resources, preventing Lee from sending his n to find him. Their claim was that if he was not fit to control his son, then he wasn’t fit to control an investigation.
However, with the news that there was a new 10th leader, the other leaders were now busy focusing on trying to find them. This could be the very opportunity Lee needs.
"Continue searching for my son. You are to remain using whatever resources the 13th family can offer, otherwise, you are all dismissed."
The 5 knights bowed, before leaving, all except for one.
The one who remained was a woman with long silver gray hair that was tied up in a high ponytail, going down to her back. She wore a red gothic suit with black pants, and black high heel boots to match.
"Father, we know Fex is in a military base. I suggest we send a knight such as myself to one of these bases, and find him for ourselves," the woman suggested.
"Under better circumstances, I would allow it, even encourage it, but we are still restricted," Lee sighed, "Ever since they revoked our teleporters, we have remained grounded to this world."
"If I may speak freely," the woman began.
"Continue," Lee replied.
"I do not want to suggest that we circumvent the rules, but if we can showcase our competence in other ways, they may think to revoke our punishnt, and return our teleporters," The woman proposed.
"Hmm," Lee contemplated, "There have been reports of rouge bloodsuckers in our settlent. If we look into the issue, and solve it ourselves..."
Lee nodded, indicating that he approved of the idea.
"As the faithful knight of the Sanguinis family, I task you with investigating the bloodsuckers. You are free to use whatever resources from the family as you see fit."
The woman bowed, "Yes, father, I shall complete my task without fail."
With that, the woman left, and she began thinking about her next course of action.
’Fex, my dear brother, just wait for . I’ll rescue you from the treacherous human world!"
