Aurora: "..." What?
Aurora blinked hard for the next 5 seconds.
Was the previous host’s mind flooded with water?
How could she think of breaking off the engagent with such a handso man?

Aurora regained her composure and said,
"Well, maybe it’s because of your poisonous tongue."
Spencer chuckled, not offended by Aurora’s words at all,
"We hardly exchanged 10 sentences a year."
Aurora decided to change the subject and said,
"Oh? But why did you say I should leave the city? From the way you speak...I feel you must be powerful."
’And from the experience I have from reading the novels I am damn sure the restaurants might belong to him also!’ Aurora thought.
Spencer chuckled as he reminded her,
"You seed to have misunderstood the amount of influence your father holds. Your mother had built a company which can hardly be taken down. Even I can’t take it down.
Not to ntion...it is also the most precious thing left to you by your mother."
Aurora’s heart sank as Spencer continued,
"Your father is very smart. After taking over your mother’s company, he made investnts in other sectors and soon beca the richest man in the entire state."
Aurora muttered,
’If taking down this father is the mission, then I am dood. Ah! I am a transmigrator! I should have so golden finger, right? Right! The rebate system! Let’s see if it is there!’

"I would never!" Then she paused, thinking. "Wait. Would I?"
Spencer chuckled. "Exactly. Not taking any risks."
As the first course arrived, Aurora decided to push further.
"So, if my father is so powerful, why are you helping ? Wouldn’t it be easier to stay out of it?"
Spencer leaned back, his expression unreadable.
"Because a certain girl once claid that she would marry ."
"Eh? Then go marry that girl. Why are you helping...wait! Was that girl ?" Aurora was shocked.
Spencer remained silent.
Aurora covered her chest and asked with a suspicious face,
"Don’t tell you love . I am still a minor."
"And so am I." Spencer rolled his eyes.
"Eh? Impossible! With your height and your looks, I can confirm that you are 25!" Aurora said with certainty.
Spencer let out a low chuckle, shaking his head. "Sorry to disappoint you, but I’m seventeen."
Aurora stared at him, her mouth slightly open.
"Seventeen?" she repeated in disbelief. "You’re telling that you—towering at least six feet tall, looking like you just walked off the cover of a CEO romance novel—are my age?"
Spencer smirked. "Hard to believe?"
Aurora crossed her arms, narrowing her eyes.
"More like impossible. Are you sure you’re not lying about your age? Maybe you’ve been secretly taking so anti-aging pills?"
Spencer took a sip of his juice, completely unfazed. "Believe what you want."
Aurora sighed, rubbing her temples.
"Fine. Whatever. Back to the topic—why are you helping if I tried to break off the engagent before?"
Spencer set his glass down and looked at her seriously.
"Because despite everything, you’re still the rightful heir to your mother’s legacy. And you are mother’s best friend’s daughter."
Aurora sighed. Such a loyal person.
Now that she thought about it, other than his poisonous tongue, Spencer didn’t have any other shortcomings.
At that mont, the waiter returned with their main course.
The mont the steak was placed in front of Aurora, her eyes lit up.
"Alright," she said, picking up her knife and fork.
"I’ll deal with all this family drama later. First, let enjoy this absurdly expensive al."
Spencer watched her with amusent as she took a bite, her expression instantly lting into bliss.
After lunch, Aurora patted her stomach and followed Spencer to his car.
"Do you want to return to the Waters family or want to follow ?" Spencer asked.
"Ugh...drop to one of the hotels owned by you," Aurora said with confidence.
Just from the way everyone treated Spencer, Aurora knew his identity. He must be one of the cool CEOs who owns multiple hotels and companies.
Spencer: "..." Truly...she can make speechless.
With an amused expression on his face, he clarified,
"I belong to a military family. I don’t have a hotel under my na. I do have estates, but all of them are rented out currently."
Aurora: "..."
Aurora cleared her throat, pretending not to be embarrassed. "Ahem. Well, then... just drop off at a decent hotel."
Spencer raised an eyebrow. "Why not return ho?"
Aurora huffed. "You expect to go back to a house full of scheming step-relatives? No thanks. I’d rather sleep on the streets—"
Spencer gave her a dry look. "You wouldn’t last an hour."
Aurora pouted.
"Rude. But fine, I just need so ti to think without my dear stepmother breathing down my neck."
Spencer considered for a mont before sighing. "Alright. I’ll book a hotel for you, but—"
Aurora brightened. "You’re paying?"
Spencer scoffed. "You’re paying."
Aurora extended her hand and held Spencer’s hand with admiration in her eyes and said,
"Spencer, has anyone told you that your golden heart and kind soul could attract even the gods from the sky? If you can pay for my hotel stays, I will pray to god that you find a good wife."
As long as her bank balance wasn’t hurt, Aurora was ready to praise even the stones.
