She pulled out a small suitcase from under the bed and unzipped it, revealing a variety of disguises, including wigs of different colors, fake glasses, and even a few stylish outfits that didn’t resemble Aurora’s usual attire.

"Eh? When did you place all of this stuff here?" Aurora asked.

Emily smiled and explained,

"I often need these, so I thought when you wake up, you will need all of these too."

"Let’s go with sothing elegant but subtle," Emily suggested, handing Aurora a shoulder-length brown wig with soft waves.

"This will make you look different but not attract unnecessary attention."

Aurora took the wig and nodded. "Perfect. Now, what about clothes?"

Emily held up a sleek beige blouse and a pair of black trousers.

"This should work. It gives off the aura of a professional investor, soone people wouldn’t question too much."

Aurora quickly changed, then put on the wig and adjusted the colored contacts. When she looked in the mirror, she barely recognized herself.

Gone was the fragile girl recovering from a coma—standing before her was a mature, composed, sophisticated woman ready to step into the world.

"Now, tell how we’re eting Alex," Aurora said, turning to Emily.

Emily grinned.

"A business party will take place in Lord Crow’s hotel and as the most potential investor, you are invited. Oh, and your alias is Dawn."

"Dawn?" Aurora frowned not understanding why Emily chose that word.

"Yes. It is the aning of your na." Emily patiently explained.

"Eh? Oh! You misunderstood. The aning of my na is Northern or Southern Lights. As for dawn...it is in literary sense." Aurora explained

Emily remained silent and smiled.

Aurora too didn’t take the conversation to heart and asked,

"How are we going to convince mom?"

"Ah...about that. You don’t need to worry." Emily smiled and walked toward Aurora’s desk and moved it away.

Just as Aurora was confused, a small door ca into her view.

Aurora stared at the small door in surprise.

"When did this get here?"

Emily chuckled.

"I had it installed while you were coma. Figured you’d need a way to sneak out without going through the main entrance."

Aurora pressed a hand to her forehead. "You really planned everything, didn’t you?"

"Of course," Emily replied smugly. "Now, let’s go before anyone notices."

Aurora nodded, adjusting her wig one last ti before stepping through the hidden exit.

It led to a narrow, dimly lit hallway that connected to the apartnt below them.

"You bought the apartnt below us too?" Aurora asked in surprise.

Emily smiled,

"I had a feeling that we would need a secret passage in the future."

Aurora patted Emily’s back and said,

"You are truly invincible."

Emily had already arranged for a car to be waiting outside.

Once they were seated, Emily handed Aurora a sleek black invitation.

"This is your pass to the party. Rember, you’re Dawn—an independent and highly sought-after investor. Keep your story straight."

Aurora took a deep breath and nodded. "Got it."

Emily then passed Aurora a veil and said,

"Wear this veil. Don’t let anyone know your real na or appearance."

"Eh? Then why did you change my appearance in the first place, it would have been better if had let wear the veil directly." Aurora asked.

Emily chuckled.

"Well, it’s a smokescreen. Even if soone tore off your veil, your appearance will remain hidden."

"Ohh." Aurora was surprised.

The car drove smoothly through the city, and soon they arrived at the grand entrance of Lord Crow’s hotel.

The venue was lavish, its golden chandeliers casting a warm glow over the elegantly dressed guests.

The guard at the entrance of Lord Crow’s hotel stepped forward, blocking Aurora and Emily’s path.

"Invitation, please," he said in a firm voice.

Aurora calmly handed him the sleek black invitation Emily had given her.

The guard took one glance at it, and his eyes widened in shock.

His stiff posture imdiately changed, and he quickly stepped aside, opening the grand double doors for them.

"Please, co in, Miss Dawn," he said respectfully.

Aurora nodded slightly and stepped inside with Emily. As soon as they entered, the guard took out his phone and dialed a number.

"Oscar, it’s ," he said in a low voice. "Investor Dawn is here. She’s a woman, and she’s wearing a veil."

On the other end of the line, Oscar Bell sat up straight, his face lighting up with excitent.

"Are you sure?" Oscar asked eagerly.

"Absolutely," the guard confird. "She just walked in."

Oscar grinned and turned toward his group of friends who were gathered in the hotel lobby. He lowered his voice, but his excitent was clear.

"Guys, listen up. Investor Dawn is here! She’s a woman, and she’s wearing a veil."

His friends imdiately perked up. They had been desperately trying to get Dawn to invest in their projects, and now was their chance.

"I need $3 million for my company’s next project," one man whispered urgently.

"My company is about to go bankrupt. I need at least $4 million!" another added, his voice filled with desperation.

They exchanged glances, their minds racing. Then one of them suddenly smirked.

"I have an idea," he said. "We act super nice to her. Give her gifts, flatter her, and pretend we don’t know who she really is. Then, once she’s happy, we ntion our financial troubles."

"That might work!" soone else chid in. "I’ll give her a car worth $100,000."

"A car? That’s too cheap!" another scoffed. "I’ll gift her a villa worth $1 million! In return, I’ll ask for a $5 million investnt."

They all nodded in agreent, convinced this was the perfect plan.

Unbeknownst to them, a woman passing by had overheard their entire conversation.

She paused mid-step, her eyes gleaming with interest.

Her face was partially covered by a black veil, hiding a disfigured scar that stretched across her cheek.

She had long been struggling with a debt of $300,000 and was desperate for a way out.
