Adam didn’t take the man’s words seriously and handed the phone back to Luna,
"I can’t take you with . They are after for now. I will hide you here, and you can co out when your father reaches here."
Adam carefully helped Luna climb into one of the large empty boxes. It slled a little dusty, but it was big enough to fit her.
He placed the box beside the cupboard, making sure it looked like it had been there all along.
"Listen, Luna. Stay inside this box until you hear soone knock three tis. Got it?" Adam said softly.
Luna nodded, her hands trembling a bit. "Three knocks. Okay."
"And tell your dad the sa thing. Ask him to knock on the box three tis." Adam repeated.
"I will. Thank you..." Luna whispered, telling the sa thing on the phone, before Adam carefully closed the lid of the box.
Adam looked around the room one last ti, making sure Luna was well-hidden.
Then he glanced at Mike, still slumped on the floor. Sighing, Adam shook him awake.
"Co on, man. We gotta go." Adam muttered.
He crushed the tiny glass shard into Mike’s palm. Mike flinched, his eyes fluttering open. He looked groggy, but at least he could move.
"Ugh... What... what happened?" Mike groaned.
"No ti to explain. Just follow . We’re in big trouble." Adam said quickly.
They left the room, but as soon as they stepped into the hallway, two guards spotted them.
"Hey! Stop right there!" one of the guards shouted, running toward them.
"Run!" Adam yelled at Mike. But Mike just stared, confused and slow.
"Dang it, Mike!" Adam cursed, then shoved the glass into Mike’s hand again, making sure he felt the pain.
This ti, Mike snapped out of it, his eyes sharper. "Alright, I’m good. Let’s go!"
The guards rushed at them, but Adam was ready. He threw a punch at the first guard, dodged a kick from the second, and kicked him back.
Mike, now fully awake, tackled the other guard, wrestling him to the ground.
They fought hard, fists flying, feet kicking. Finally, Adam and Mike knocked both guards out.
Panting, Adam grabbed Mike’s arm.
"Let’s get out of here before more of them show up."
They ran down the hallway, their footsteps echoing. anwhile, the n who had been guarding the room rushed back in.
"What the heck? All the won are knocked out!" one of the n shouted, shaking the blonde woman’s shoulder.
"And the blind girl’s gone! Adam must’ve taken her with him!" another guy yelled, looking around in panic.
"Boss is gonna kill us if we don’t find them!"
They hurried out of the room, spreading the word to search for Adam and Mike.
anwhile, Luna stayed curled up inside the box, trying her best not to make a sound.
She hugged her knees tightly, her heart pounding.
But she rembered Adam’s words and waited for her dad.
Outside, Adam and Mike kept running. More guards were chasing them, their voices shouting angrily.
Just when Adam thought they were out of luck, a taxi screeched to a stop in front of them.
At first, Adam and Mike tensed up, thinking it was more trouble. But then, Adam saw Emily in the backseat.
"Get in! Now!" Emily shouted, waving her hand frantically.
Adam didn’t hesitate. He yanked the door open and pushed Mike inside before diving in himself.
"Drive! Drive!" Adam shouted at the driver.
The taxi sped off, tires squealing. Adam looked back and saw the guards running after them, but they were already getting smaller in the distance.
"Emily... What are you doing here?" Adam asked, still breathing hard.
But before he could hear the answer, the drug took effect again, and he soon felt unconscious.
Mike was the sa.
.....................
After 20 minutes, Adam Price arrives outside the hotel.
He whistled cheerfully as he walked down the hallway. Everything had gone just as planned.
He was sure that by now, Adam’s reputation would be completely ruined.
What he didn’t know was that the mont he entered the hotel, ten sleek black cars pulled up outside, and dozens of bodyguards poured out of the vehicles.
The group moved quickly and efficiently, like a well-trained army.
A middle-aged man with brow eyes and brow hair cos out. His majestic aura was enough to scare anyone.
"Go and find her!" He ordered. At his command all the bodyguard rushes toward the hotel.
"This is gonna be perfect," Adam Price muttered to himself with a smug grin.
He reached the door and pushed it open, ready to celebrate his victory. But the mont he stepped inside, his smile vanished.
The room was a ss.
The won were sprawled out on the floor, all of them unconscious.
Furniture was knocked over, and there were signs of a struggle everywhere.
"What the heck happened here?" Adam Price whispered, his eyes wide with shock.
He stepped further into the room, his mind racing.
Sothing had gone terribly wrong.
He was about to scream in frustration when he heard a small, soft sneeze from sowhere nearby.
Adam Price froze. His eyes narrowed as he glanced around the ssy room.
Where did that sound co from?
He took slow, careful steps toward the cupboard.
His gaze landed on a large box sitting right beside it. It looked a bit out of place. His heart pounded as he reached for the lid.
But before he could touch it, the door to the room burst open.
Adam Price spun around to see a group of n dressed in sharp black suits storming into the room.
They moved like professionals, their expressions cold and serious.
"Who the heck are you guys?" Adam Price snapped, trying to sound tough. But his voice ca out shaky.
The n ignored him. Instead, they walked straight to the box beside the cupboard.
Adam Price watched in confusion and fear as one of the n knocked on the box. Three solid knocks. Just like Adam had told Luna.
