Caroline snatched her phone from Aurora’s hand, her cheeks burning red with embarrassnt and anger.

"Hmph! Keep pretending to be nice all you want," Caroline spat, her voice shaky. "Everyone knows you’re just faking it."

Aurora just smiled, all calm and collected.

"If you say so. But it’s not my fault you tripped over air."

A few kids giggled at that, trying to hide their laughter behind their hands.

Even Mia had to cover her mouth to stop from laughing out loud.

"Whatever," Caroline snapped, storming off with her chin held high.

But it was obvious she was more upset than proud.

Mia leaned over to Aurora, her eyes wide. "You were amazing."

"Thank you," Aurora said as she picked up her phone from the ground and left the classroom.

She found a secluded corner, took out a pen drive, and inserted it into the phone.

After a while, the phone was unlocked. Aurora hurriedly moved so files from her pendrive to the phone and then ejected the pendrive.

A smile appeared on her face.

"Is it fun?" A warm voice sounded near her ears, and Aurora instinctively moved away, only to find...Spencer standing behind.

His upper body was bent forward, and he was looking at her with a grin.

"My god! You look creepy!" Aurora patted her chest.

Spence: "..."

He stood straight, asked,

"Don’t you girls love it when a man suddenly shows up all mysterious and cool?" Spencer asked, raising an eyebrow with a playful smirk.

Aurora rolled her eyes.

"Maybe in cheesy movies or novels. In real life? You just gave a mini heart attack."

Spencer chuckled.

"Good to know. So... what were you doing all sneaky-like with your phone and that flash drive?"

Aurora slipped the pendrive into her pocket, her expression totally calm.

"Nothing you need to worry about."

Just as she was about to leave, Spencer held Aurora’s wrist,

"You have installed a virus in her phone, right?"

Aurora’s eyes turned slightly cold, and she chuckled,

"What? Planning to take revenge on behalf of your little crush?"

"Yup." Spencer smiled back, but there was no humor in his smile.

Aurora felt her heart turning cold.

So, Spencer truly liked Caroline?

That would beco a problem.

He had seen her installing the virus in Caroline’s phone.

’Sh*t! I was too hasty. Now I need to uninstall the virus before he checks it. For now, though, I have to decline that I have installed any virus.’

"I didn’t..." install any virus.

The words didn’t co out of Aurora’s mouth because the next second, Spencer pulled her back and pushed her against the wall, his arm resting beside her head, blocking her way out.

Aurora’s eyes widened.

"What the heck are you doing?"

Yet her eyes couldn’t help but crash in those beautiful blue eyes. Those eyes which were filled with tenderness and playfulness.

’Beautiful.’ She thought.

"Making sure you don’t run away," Spencer said, his voice calm but his gaze sharp.

Aurora snapped out of her daze and scoffed.

"Run away? From what? Your bad acting?"

Spencer’s lips twitched, but he didn’t smile.

"You’re pretty smart, Aurora. So I’m not gonna waste ti playing gas."

"Good. Then move," Aurora snapped, trying to push his arm away, but he didn’t budge.

"Not until you listen," Spencer said. His eyes were serious now, all the playful attitude gone.

"I don’t care about Caroline. Or whatever drama you have with her."

Aurora didn’t even realise, but for so reason, she felt relaxed hearing that comnt.

It ant Spencer didn’t feel anything for Caroline.

She even felt happy...

’Stupid! Stop being happy! Do you think he would be holding you down now if things were as simple as they seem now?’

Aurora frowned. "Then why are you blocking like so wannabe gangster?"

"Wannabe?" Spencer chuckled. "I am not a wannabe. I know your secret, and this secret will beco a huge trouble for you if I expose it to school."

Aurora’s eyes narrowed.

"You’re bluffing."

Spencer shook his head, his smile turning smug.

"Nope. I saw what you did. And I bet the teachers would be real interested to know about your... hacking skills."

Aurora clenched her fists. "You wouldn’t dare."

"Oh, I would. But that’s only if you make ," Spencer said, shrugging like this whole thing was no big deal.

"So, what do you want?" Aurora snapped, her voice a little sharper than she ant.

"Benefits." Spencer chuckled. "I won’t beat around the bush. I like you."

One second.

Two seconds.

And then...pft!

Aurora laughed,

"Do you think I would believe in such kind of romantic cheesy bullsh*t?"

The smile on Spencer’s face fell for a brief mont before he said,

"If you don’t believe , I can..."

"No need." Aurora shook her head.

She didn’t have any feelings for Spencer.

Was he handso? Yes.

But was she going to believe him? Nope.

The best example was Henry and Adriana. If Aurora didn’t know the future, she too would have fallen for Henry’s bullsh*t.

He looked at Adriana as if she were the only woman in this world. The only woman he was capable of loving, and yet...it was all a facade.

He just wanted Adriana’s money.

In the future, even after getting her money, he would kill her.

Olivia’s and Theodore’s fates were the sa, too.

Moral of the story?

Villains can never fall in love. And if anyone genuinely shows that they love a villain, then it was nothing more than a test.

Maybe Spencer had made so bet with his friends, or maybe he was only attracted by the nobility of dating new students.

Spencer raised an eyebrow, clearly not expecting Aurora’s bluntness.

"Wow. You really don’t trust anyone, do you?" he said, half amused, half curious. There was even a hint of sadness in his eyes, which Aurora chose to ignore.

"Why would I?" Aurora shot back. "Especially soone who just threatened to rat out."

"That was just to get your attention." Spencer shrugged like it was no big deal. Then he paused for a mont before saying,

"You have changed..."

"Huh?" Aurora was baffled.

Spencer glanced down at her, his gaze steady. "You think I’m lying, huh? That I don’t like you?"

"Obviously." Aurora rolled her eyes.

"I know your type, Spencer. You probably made so dumb bet with your buddies or you’re just trying to ss with ’cause I don’t fall for your charming little act."

Spencer let out a frustrated laugh. "Wow. You’ve got all figured out, huh?"

"Pretty much," Aurora said, trying to sound confident, but sothing about the way he was looking at her made her feel... unsettled.

"Alright. Fine." Spencer took a step back, his arm finally dropping from the wall.

"If you wanna think I’m just so jerk playing gas, go ahead. But I ant what I said."

Aurora didn’t move, her eyes locked on his, searching for any sign of a joke. But Spencer looked serious. Too serious.

"Whatever," she muttered, shaking her head. "I don’t have ti for this."

With she turned and left.

The reality...she felt a hint of reluctance.

’Don’t regret it! He and you are from completely different worlds. Maybe when you cover the distance between him and you, you can think, hey! You don’t like him! Sh*t he truly has ssed up with my brain!’

Just as she was lost in thought, soone harshly turned her around.

"Hey! You gave your phone! The one in your hand is mine!" Caroline shouted.

Aurora ca back to her sense and smiled,

"Oh? Figured. I was trying to find you. I just to know..."

"Shut the f*ck up and give my phone," Caroline said impatiently.

Aurora raised an eyebrow, a sly smile playing on her lips. "Wow, soone’s cranky. Didn’t your mommy pack you a good lunch today?"

"Just give the phone, freak," Caroline snapped, her hand reaching out.

Aurora shrugged and held out the phone. "Here. Don’t have a ltdown."

Caroline snatched it like it was the last cookie on earth, her fingers clutching it tight.

She turned on her heel and stord away, muttering sothing under her breath that sounded a lot like "psycho."

Aurora watched her go, shaking her head. A smile appeared on her face,

"One down...one more."

Aurora soon got her chance, and she injected the virus into Mandy’s phone, too.

After returning ho, she went to her room and checked her phone.

The previous night, she had made a malware which can travel from pendrive to phone and unlock the phone without password.

The pendrive also contained a virus, which, once injected into the phone, could send all the real-ti data to the app on her computer.

Sure enough all the chats and photos, as well as videos, were sent on her phone.

However, the mont she saw the chats between Caroline and Mandy, Aurora’s face turned gloomy.

She had thought that the pair would keep a low profile after the last incident, but they were already planning sothing more explosive.
