The red-haired woman recoiled, her expression faltering, but only for a brief mont. Her lips twisted in a defensive sneer.
"That was a long ti ago, Mia. Don’t tell you’re still bitter about that."
Mia’s voice dropped dangerously low.
"You cheated on , and then had the nerve to co here acting like nothing happened? Who the hell do you think you are?"
The black-haired woman standing silently beside the red-haired girl shifted uncomfortably, but the red-haired woman ignored her.
She stepped closer to Mia, her eyes full of venom.
"So what were you expecting? Should I have stayed with a broke woman like you?" The red-haired woman shot back with disdain in her eyes, "I told you that we should try a threeso, you were the only one who wasn’t ready!"
Mia’s face turned red from anger, and she shouted back,
"What? Do you expect to let another woman co in between our relationship just because she was throwing money at my face? I am sorry, but my self-respect is more important!"
The red-haired woman’s lips curled into a mocking smile, her eyes flashing with cold amusent.
"What’s the point of self-respect, Mia? Self-respect doesn’t pay the bills. Money is what gets you to the top. Money is what everyone wants. It’s all about what you can offer."
She leaned forward, her voice dripping with venom. "And trust , I’ve got plenty of it now."
Mia stood motionless, her fists clenched at her sides, but she took a deep breath before speaking. Her voice was calm, almost unnervingly so.
"I don’t want to keep talking to you, Ava. Just go. You’re not welco here."
The red-haired woman’s eyes narrowed, her expression faltering for a second before she straightened up, a sneer twisting her lips again.
"Oh, co on, Mia. You can’t be serious. You’ve been holding onto this for five months. Don’t you think it’s ti you let go? Look at now," she said, her hand sweeping around dramatically, as if showing off an invisible wealth.
"I’ve got everything now. I’ve made investnts, I’ve got money rolling in. I could buy a BMW if I wanted."
Mia’s eyes glinted dangerously, but her voice remained steady.
"I don’t want to ride in a BMW that’s been paid for with the money you sold your self-respect for," she said, her words quiet but firm. She looked Ava directly in the eye, her tone icy.
"I don’t need any of that. I fell in love with you because you seed to have sothing different. You were more than just your money."
Ava’s expression flickered with surprise, but she quickly recovered, her mouth twisting into a bitter smile. "More than money?" she sneered, leaning in closer.
"You’re just as naive as you were when we were together. The world doesn’t work like that, Mia. People like you need to grow up. You’re still just a kid, dreaming about fairy tales."
Mia’s face tightened.
"Maybe I’m still a kid to you, but at least I’m not pretending that money is everything."
She stepped forward, her voice rising slightly with emotion, but her tone still under control.
"When we were together, it wasn’t the money that kept going. It was you. You made feel like I was more than just so person who could give you things. You made feel like I mattered, like I was soone you cared about."
The red-haired woman’s expression darkened, but she didn’t back away.
"You’re wrong, Mia," she said, her voice a little quieter now.
"I was always upfront with you. You think I’m the one who was pretending? You’ve been living in a bubble, thinking that you can hold onto your ideals forever. But life doesn’t work like that.
Not when you’re already nineteen and have responsibilities. You have to make decisions, Mia. Real ones. Not just ’dream’ about things being perfect."
Mia’s heart clenched as she looked at Ava.
She could see the hurt in the red-haired woman’s eyes, the bitterness that had festered inside her after all this ti.
But Mia wasn’t the sa person anymore, not the one who had fallen blindly in love with Ava.
Ava fixed her hair with a frustrated motion, the sharpness in her eyes softening for a mont.
She took a step toward Mia, her voice dropping into a more pleading tone.
"Mia, look... I get it. I was wrong. But I’ve changed. I have money now, real money. I’ll never cheat on you again. I promise. I can give you everything you want, I can make sure we’re happy.
I’ll be loyal to you, and this ti, I won’t let anything co between us. I swear, if it’s about self-respect... I would never compromise that again. I’ve learned."
Mia didn’t react, her face unreadable, but her eyes stayed steady on Ava.
She didn’t want this. Not anymore. But Ava’s words lingered, even if they were empty promises.
anwhile, Aurora, who had been standing to the side with a bored expression, rubbed her temples in exasperation.
She’d heard her fair share of drama in this mall, but this was on a whole new level.
She couldn’t help but think to herself that Harmony Mall seed to attract it like a magnet every ti she ca by. But she wasn’t about to let that drag on. Not today.
With a sweet smile, Aurora stepped forward, interrupting the tense silence.
"Mia doesn’t need you anymore, Ava." Her tone was smooth, almost honeyed, as she continued, "Because Mia already has a billionaire girlfriend."
Both Mia and Ava turned sharply to look at her, the sudden declaration catching them off guard. Ava’s mouth hung slightly open, disbelief flickering across her face.
"What?" she asked, voice rising slightly. "Are you serious? You’re lying."
Aurora’s smile didn’t falter. Without hesitation, she slid her hand around Mia’s waist, pulling her a little closer. "I’m not lying," she said softly, her voice low and calm.
"Mia’s my girlfriend now. And I own this place—the whole Harmony Mall. The one you’re standing in."
