Adam’s face twisted in disgust. "Stop it. Leave before I call security."
Jean pouted and tried to touch his arm again, but this ti Adam’s face went cold. So cold that it made the air around him feel heavy.
"If you try that again," he said in a low, dangerous voice, "I’ll slap you. Don’t think I won’t."
Jean froze, her smile fading.
But then she puffed up her chest like she wasn’t scared. "You wouldn’t dare. If you do, I’ll tell Mary about how you abused !"
Before Adam could reply, a voice cut through the air.
"Don’t worry, even if Mom knows, she won’t take action against Father," Olivia said, stepping out of the car. Her voice was steady and full of fire. "Because I already know what you are trying to do."
Jean turned her head sharply and saw Olivia standing just a few feet away, staring straight at her.
Jean’s face turned pale.
Olivia calmly said, "Jean, you are truly shaless."
Her voice was steady but cold, like ice.
Jean was speechless. Her mouth opened a little, but no words ca out.
She didn’t expect Olivia to talk to her like that. For a mont, she just stood there frozen, like a statue.
Then Jean forced a laugh and waved her hand. "Oh, co on, I was just joking! Don’t take it so seriously."
But Olivia didn’t smile. She looked at Jean without blinking and said in a calm voice, "If you ever try that again... if you even go near my dad again... I won’t just slap you. I’ll post the whole thing online and file a case against you. I’m warning you only once."
Jean’s smile vanished. Her face turned pale like she had seen a ghost.
She chuckled nervously. "You’re really overreacting... You misunderstood , sweetie."
But Olivia’s eyes stayed sharp. "I know exactly what kind of woman you are, Jean."
That triggered sothing in Jean. Her face twisted with anger.
"What are you saying?! You’ve misunderstood from the beginning! You’re accusing of things I never even did!"
Olivia gave a small, cold smile.
"I saw through you the first day you entered this house. You’re greedy, always looking for free stuff, and always scheming. Even against the people who feed you."
Jean gritted her teeth and shouted,
"Oh really? And do you think your mother is any better? Didn’t she sche too?!"
Olivia’s eyes narrowed.
"There’s no need to bring my mom into this. Whatever lies you’re about to say, I don’t care. This conversation isn’t about her. It’s about you."
Jean scoffed and laughed bitterly.
"You’re just like your mother! Always trying to escape the truth, always twisting words. You’re calling greedy? That’s disrespectful! I’m not greedy. I just know how to find what’s best for . That’s it!"
Olivia rolled her eyes.
"Then I’m just like you, right? I also want the best for myself. But I don’t go around soone else’s house begging for food, sneaking things into my bag, or worse, trying to seduce the man who owns the house."
Jean’s face turned red. She looked like she was about to explode. "You’re misunderstanding !" she shouted and turned around quickly. Without another word, she stord off.
Olivia didn’t even glance at her. She just stood there silently.
Adam, who had been quiet the entire ti, looked at Olivia. His face showed no anger, only pride. He didn’t correct her or tell her to stop. He didn’t need to.
They both walked into the elevator.
Olivia glanced at him and asked, "Aren’t you going to say anything?"
Adam paused, then smiled slightly. "I’m proud of you."
Olivia smirked. "Only you understand this well."
Adam chuckled and said, "I understand every child in this family."

The next morning, Adriana woke up and sat up in bed quickly. She looked at the clock.
"One hour left!" she whispered with a gasp. Today was her date with Peter.
She rushed into the bathroom, took a quick shower, and started getting ready.
She chose a beautiful green bodycon dress with spaghetti straps. It hugged her figure perfectly and ended just below her knees. She looked stunning.
Her long, black hair was left loose, soft, and shiny. She looked into the mirror and smiled. Her eyes sparkled with excitent.
"This ti, Peter’s going to be speechless," she whispered to herself and headed out.
As she stepped into the hallway, she saw her sister, Aurora, who was also dressed up. Adriana raised an eyebrow. Usually, Aurora never dressed up this much for school.
Her eyes quickly scanned Aurora’s outfit, and then she landed on her lipstick.
"Hmm," Adriana said and walked over. She pulled out her makeup pouch and handed Aurora a different lipstick. "Try this shade instead. It’ll look better."
Aurora blinked. "Does this one not look good?"
Adriana shook her head kindly. "No, it’s fine. But this one will suit your outfit more. Trust ."
Aurora smiled and applied the new lipstick. She looked into her compact mirror and gasped softly. It did look prettier.
"Wow, it’s perfect. You really understand ."
Adriana smiled. "Of course I do. We’re sisters."
Then she asked, "Want to drop you off at school?"
Aurora shook her head. "No thanks, I’ll go on my own." She picked up her bag and headed toward the dining room.
When both sisters walked into the dining room, the mood was... strange.
The room was quiet. Too quiet.
Jean was sitting at the table, her eyes locked on Mary.
Mary sat calmly, sipping her tea with a peaceful face, as if she hadn’t even noticed Jean.
Olivia sat on the other side of the table, slowly eating her breakfast like nothing had happened.
But it wasn’t peaceful.
Adriana walked in first, her heels clicking softly against the floor. She paused for a second when she saw the scene, then walked to her seat like she didn’t notice anything.
She was used to Jean’s drama by now. Right behind her, Aurora walked in, still smiling from earlier.
