Either way, she decided not to spend too much energy worrying about him. He was not her problem.
Her real concern was Victor. She could already guess what would happen. Victor would not make any big move right away.
But he would definitely do sothing small, sothing ant to make trouble for her. It might be indirect, but it would still cause problems. She needed to be ready.
Aurora, Olivia, and Alex also decided it was ti to go. They kept their expressions calm, even though they all felt the weight of the earlier events.
Victor was still in the room when they left, but none of them looked his way.
Outside, the night air was cooler. The streetlights glowed softly, casting shadows along the pavent. The sound of car engines starting up echoed in the distance.
Louis stepped forward and smiled at them. "I’ll give you a ride," he offered. His tone was casual, but there was a certain firmness in his words.
"I have bodyguards nearby. It’s safer that way."
Alex studied him for a mont. This ti, instead of giving Louis a cold look, he actually seed interested. But he did not answer right away. Instead, he turned to Aurora and Olivia.

Seeing both of them agree, Alex gave a small sigh of relief. He liked that they were reasonable. Still, even if they had disagreed, he would have tried to keep them safe no matter what.
Louis led the way to his car. It was a sleek black vehicle, the kind that looked expensive even in the dim streetlight. A driver stood waiting by the door, and Aurora noticed shadows moving nearby... bodyguards, just like Louis had said.
They all got in, with Louis in the front passenger seat and the three siblings in the back. The engine started smoothly, and the car rolled away from the party venue.
At first, the ride was quiet. But after a few minutes, Alex noticed sothing. He leaned forward slightly and looked out the rear window.
Two black cars were following them.
Aurora noticed it too. She did not say anything, but her eyes sharpened. The sa thing had caught Olivia’s attention, and she shifted uncomfortably in her seat.
Louis glanced at the mirror, his face calm. "I see them," he said. "They’ve been following since we left."
The cars behind them did not try to get closer. They kept their distance, just enough to be noticed. This was no coincidence.

If they had been alone in their own car, this could have been dangerous. The fact that the cars had not attacked yet ant only one thing... they were waiting for sothing. Maybe waiting for a place with fewer witnesses. Maybe waiting for Victor’s signal.
The thought made Olivia’s jaw tighten. She did not scare easily, but she could not ignore the tension in the air.
Louis, however, looked like nothing was wrong. He simply leaned back in his seat, one arm resting casually on the door.
"Don’t worry," he said without looking back. "They won’t try anything tonight."
No one answered him, but Aurora could see the sa thing in Alex’s and Olivia’s eyes. They did not fully believe him, but they were also aware that arguing now would do no good.
The ride continued, the quiet hum of the engine filling the space. The glowing city lights slowly gave way to quieter streets, and finally, the familiar sight of their residential area ca into view.
The car slowed to a stop in front of their apartnt building. Aurora, Olivia, and Alex stepped out.
Without wasting ti, Aurora pulled out her phone and began typing a ssage. She had a few contacts who could arrange security, but she wanted sothing different this ti. She did not want guards standing around in plain sight.
She wanted people who could move quietly, who could protect her family without anyone even noticing they were there. People who could blend into the crowd but still act fast when needed.
As she pressed send, she heard the soft sound of another phone being tapped. Turning her head slightly, she saw Alex standing just a few steps away, also typing on his phone.

When Aurora finished her own ssage, she slipped her phone back into her pocket and turned to Alex.
But before she could say anything, her eyes caught Louis standing a few steps away, watching them with a faintly amused smile.
"You really are siblings," he said. "Even your reactions are the sa."
Aurora rolled her eyes. "Very funny," she said.
Then she decided to be direct. "Do you have any bodyguards you can lend us for the ti being?" she asked. She did not like depending on him, but she could not deny the truth.
