The teacher agreed without asking too many questions. The seats were adjusted, and the matter was left there.
The next day, Aurora t Spencer again in their small apartnt. The air between them was thick with emotions.
As soon as the door closed, their lips found each other again. What started as a gentle kiss turned into a steamy make-out session.
Clothes were tugged at, hearts were pounding, and the world outside faded away.
But just as things were about to go further, Spencer stopped. Aurora looked at him with confusion, her cheeks red.
"What are you hesitating for?" she asked softly.
Spencer shook his head and stroked her hair.
"Not like this. I want it to be special, not rushed." He kissed her forehead gently and smiled. "I will keep in contact. Always."
Aurora’s eyes turned red again. She wanted to argue, but she forced herself to stay calm.
She nodded.
"Fine. I do not need your help anyway. If I miss you too much, I can just find soone else."
Spencer’s eyes narrowed at her words. His gaze beca sharp, but before he could speak, Aurora chuckled. "I am joking. Can you not even take a joke?"
Spencer’s expression softened, and he chuckled, too.
"Of course, I knew you were joking. Otherwise, I would have pounded on you right here and now."
The room had fallen into silence after their laughter.
Aurora leaned against Spencer’s chest, her heartbeat still quick from their earlier closeness. For a while, neither of them said anything.
The quietness was not uncomfortable, but it carried a weight. It was as if both of them were holding on to the mont, afraid that it would slip away too soon.
After a while, Spencer slowly reached into his pocket and pulled sothing out.
It was a small golden necklace that caught the light of the lamp and shimred warmly.
He placed it into Aurora’s palm.
Her fingers closed around it carefully, and she tilted her head in surprise. "What is this?" she asked softly.
"Open it," Spencer said with a small smile.
Aurora studied it closely. It looked like a locket, round and beautifully polished. But no matter how she tried, it would not open.
She frowned and pressed it harder, twisting it this way and that, but the locket stayed shut.
Spencer chuckled quietly. "You will not open it like that."
Aurora looked up at him in confusion. "Then how?"
Spencer lifted his wrist and showed her the bracelet he always wore. Hanging from the bracelet was a small key that sparkled faintly.
He slipped it off, inserted it into the locket, and turned it carefully. With a soft click, the locket opened.
Aurora’s eyes widened. Inside was a tiny photo of herself on one side and Spencer on the other. She stared at it for a long ti, stunned.
Spencer’s smile softened.
"I wanted to make sure that even if one of us ever lost our mory, we would always be able to rember each other with this. As long as you have the locket and I have the key, we will always find our way back."
Aurora’s brows furrowed. She looked up at him seriously.
"What do you an by that? Are you saying you might lose your mory soon?"
Spencer froze for a mont. He wanted to tell her the truth.
He wanted to remind her of their childhood, of how she had once forgotten him completely, leaving him alone.
He wanted to confess that deep inside he was terrified of history repeating itself, that when he left this ti, Aurora might forget him again.
But he could not. He was afraid that if he brought up the past, it might hurt her or stir up painful mories she had buried. So instead, he gave her a soft chuckle and shook his head.
"No. I just ant it as a precaution. What if one day sothing happens and we are forced to disguise ourselves? What if we cannot et for a long ti? This necklace and key will prove useful then."
Aurora blinked at him. His words did make sense. After thinking for a while, she nodded slowly. "You are right. This could really help in the future."
She closed the locket carefully, her heart feeling warm and heavy at the sa ti.
Then she threw her arms around Spencer and hugged him tightly, as if she was afraid that he would disappear if she let go.
But the mont ca sooner than she wanted. It was ti for him to leave.
Aurora watched him go from afar, her chest aching.
To cover her tracks, she asked one of her trusted people to disguise themselves as her and go to Harmony Mall, making it look like Aurora was there all along.

Her car ca to a stop outside the airport. She sat there quietly, staring at the doors through which Spencer had disappeared. She closed her eyes and leaned back, trying to steady her breathing.
"It is alright," she whispered to herself. "I just have to wait a few years. He will co back. He promised."
Her hands clenched into fists, and after a long while, she finally started her car and drove ho.
The days after that felt empty. Without Spencer by her side, the world seed quieter and colder. But Aurora refused to let herself fall apart. She forced her attention on her company, working harder than ever before.
Her company began to soar. She poured all her energy into developing products, forming partnerships, and breaking into new markets.
Months passed like this. Aurora hardly noticed the ti flying by, but the results spoke for themselves.
Her company crossed milestone after milestone until finally it reached a net valuation of three billion dollars. With that, Aurora had officially stepped into the ranks of billionaires.
The achievent should have filled her with pride, but instead, she felt a strange hollowness. Still, she knew she had to celebrate.
