While Dhruv was getting freshened up, the trio had already reached the house and was waiting for him.
"What do you think Master has called us for?" Vexar wasn’t patient enough and asked this question to his big brothers.
"I don’t have a clue," Azarex simply replied.
"It may be sothing about the final floor of the goblin dungeon or sothing like that," Alaric replied after thinking for a while.
"I just don’t want it to be about ," Vexar said while keeping his head low as if he was really embarrassed about sothing.
"Why would this be about you?" Both of his brothers said in unison.
"Well... I didn’t know what a dungeon core was supposed to be. The second thing is that when I told Master that I had burned the boss’s body, a hint of panic appeared on his face. I just hope I didn’t do any irreparable damage," Vexar said, his face bearing a slight expression of guilt.
"Well, the latter one isn’t your fault entirely, but how co you didn’t know about the dungeon core?" Alaric asked with a confused expression.
Vexar was about to say sothing, but Azarex cut him off and asked, "What is a dungeon core?"
Alaric was about to say, ’Even you, Azarex, I had thought of you as better than this,’ but he stopped after rembering that Azarex hadn’t co with them into the dungeon and knew nothing about this. Turning his head around Alaric faced Azarex and said,
"It is an item that will be ford after killing the unique monster which has ’boss’ in their na. This is an essential item to operate the portal. The sa portal which would help us travel between the floor in the dungeon." Alaric explained everything he knew about the dungeon core to Azarex.
After explaining, he turned to Vexar, lifting his eyebrows, and said, "Hadn’t you seen Master place the core in the portal of the first floor? How co you haven’t thought of that?"
"I was excited about fighting, so I didn’t focus on anything else..." Vexar mumbled while still keeping his head down.
"You and your obsession with fighting. You should purchase so skills to increase your thinking capabilities," Alaric ntioned.
The mont Vexar heard the word "skill," he rembered sothing else, that had slipped his mind.
’I didn’t even ntion about not having the skill Mana sense. Should I ntion this as well? No... let’s not ntion this today. I will confess it so other ti.’ With this thought in his mind, he closed his mouth and began to wait for his master like the others.
They didn’t have to wait for long, as five minutes later, Dhruv ca to the eting room. Looking at the trio who had stood up in respect, he swiftly ordered them to sit down comfortably.
"So, what were you guys talking about?" Dhruv inquired with a smile on his face.
"Nothing, Master," Vexar hurriedly replied. He wasn’t going to gamble that his brothers would keep their mouths shut on the recent conversation they had.
"Well, that was quick..." Dhruv said with an awkward smile on his face. He didn’t press the matter further and simply moved to the topic he was about to discuss.
"How far have you gone in your mutation?" He asked.
"Not much, Master," Alaric answered.
Vexar and Azarex nodded as well, agreeing on the fact that recently their mutation has stagnated
"I thought so," Dhruv whispered.
After thinking for a while, he turned to face the trio and addressed,
"I want to ntion that we are getting far behind in our mutation compared to all the other things, which isn’t healthy at all... This whole thing is great, but I want all of you to begin eating as many monsters as you can and gain essence points at every possible opportunity."
"I know that these Tier 1 or Tier 2 monsters wouldn’t provide as much essence energy as we need, but we have to start from sowhere. I want all three of you to reach the maximum mutation of every organ before we reach the next evolution. Is that clear?" His voice rang throughout the room with the weight of authority in it.
"Yes, master..." All three of them voiced their affirmation at the sa ti.
After pausing for a few seconds, Alaric looked at Dhruv and asked, "Master, should we have to keep ourselves hidden during the consumption, or can we do it in front of everyone?"
After hearing the question, Dhruv paused for a few seconds, facing Alaric he opened his mouth.
"I will address that tomorrow, and hope for the best."
Dhruv hadn’t given a direct answer, but Alaric understood what his master ant.
"So, after the announcent tomorrow, no matter the reaction of everyone else, we can consu monsters without the need to hide it," Alaric thought.
"Is there anything else?" Dhruv asked as he looked at the trio.
"No, master..." Alaric replied.
"Vexar, are you all right? You look nervous today. Is everything all right?" Dhruv asked as he looked at the sword demon.
"Everything is well, master," Vexar said while keeping an awkward smile.
"If you have any guilt regarding the incident that happened today, then relax. It was just a mistake, a mistake anyone could have made. The only difference is that so make it one ti while others make it multiple. You just have to try your best, right?" Dhruv tried to lift Vexar’s mood.
"Right, master," Vexar said with a smile on his face.
"Right... so let’s et at dinner." Dhruv dismissed the eting.
Everyone was about to leave the room when Dhruv rembered sothing.
"Alaric, drop the corpse of the Tier 3 shaman here. I will try to... get so essence points from that today," Dhruv said with a slightly pained expression.
Alaric nodded, without wasting any ti he brought the Shaman’s corpse from his shadow and placed it on a tal sheet that Dhruv had just created.
"Anything else master.." Alaric asked.
"No, you can go," Dhruv answered.
Bowing toward Dhruv, Alaric left the room, leaving Dhruv with nothing but a corpse for company.
’How am I supposed to eat this thing?’ Dhruv couldn’t help but imagine himself eating the corpse.
