Now reading: Chapter 194: Weird Boss from Born in apocalypse, a Fantasy novel by COSMIC04.

The monster in front of him is a goblin; that is sothing Dhruv is sure of. What he isn’t sure of is why the monster in front of him is adorned with jewelry.

The goblin was wearing rings on all of its hands, it even wore earrings. There are multiple pendants hanging on its chest. Besides these costics, there was nothing unique about this monster.

’Tier Ⅳ. It is indeed the boss.’ Dhruv smirked as he looked at the monster with mana sense.

"This one’s mine... You can go and try to stop the rest of them," Dhruv whispered as he observed the monster.

"@ @&%* .... .. .. .. *&" Goblin muttered sothing while staring at Dhruv’s chest.

"What the heck, yo..."

Before Dhruv could even finish his words, the goblin lifted his hand, and a rock in the shape of a drill began to form on his hand. In just five seconds, the monster had enhanced his spell and fired it toward Dhruv,

Wooooosh!

Booooom!

Crack!

The shield created by Alaric cracks after withstanding the attack from the goblin. With a clear smirk on his face, the monster began to gather his mana once again.

[Alaric and Vexar clear the area; I will deal with him,] Dhruv suggested to the duo over the connection.

Knowing that soone needed to handle the rest of the goblins, both of them dived into the shadows once again. Before diving into the shadow, Alaric had repaired so of the shield’s damage...

Taking a deep breath, Dhruv examined the shield in front of him. In just a single glance, he was able to realize that it could only withstand one more of the goblin’s attacks. Like the monster he was facing, Dhruv began to enhance his spell.

Boom!

The monster was the first one to act. Without any warning, the [Enhanced rock drill] shattered the shield with a loud crack.

The mont the shield got shattered, Dhruv fired an enhanced tal arrow. Because it had just cast the spell, the goblin didn’t have the ti to cast a protective spell strong enough to stop Dhruv’s attack.

Strangely enough, the monster knew this, and thus it didn’t even try to cast anything and just remained standing without doing anything.

Boom!

The arrow zood toward the goblin, narrowly missing his chest. The monster had dodged at the last second.

Although Dhruv had thought it was doing nothing, this was far from the truth.

The reason the monster was standing still was so he could see where Dhruv was aiming. Of course, this was the second reason, as the most important thing the monster was doing was staring directly at Dhruv’s chest like... so pervert.

’What the heck is wrong with this guy? Why is he constantly staring at my chest?’ Dhruv thought; he was getting annoyed by the constant staring of the monster.

Although the monster was handso by goblin standards, Dhruv didn’t have any strange fetishes at which he likes people or monsters to stare at his chest.

Before doing anything, Dhruv just cast a simple spell from earth magic, Earth armor on himself. This was the spell Dhruv had seen goblins use, although the armor wasn’t strong enough, it at least gave him a sense of privacy.

"Ohhh! Co on, man... have so respect..." Dhruv shouted as he noticed that the monster was still staring at the sa area.

The monster didn’t care what Dhruv was babbling about and instead blasted him with a rain of sharp rock. Even though Dhruv was frustrated he wasn’t distracted. Within seconds he cast a tallic shield around himself.

Like this, the battle continued for quite so ti. After a minute or two of exchanging spells, Dhruv activated his mana sense and looked at the core of the monster.

The Goblin core was still more than 70% full... After checking the monster’s core, Dhruv checked his own. He quickly realized that both of them had more or less the sa amount of mana.

’There is no point in fighting with him magically. I have to bring this fight into lee mode.’ Dhruv thought. Although he appeared frustrated, he was surprised by the fact that his core had the sa mana compared to a tier 4 monster.

"Here goes nothing..." Dhruv whispered and conjured a crimson, razor-sharp, blended spear from his ring and charged at the goblin.

The mont he summoned the spear, Dhruv noticed sothing... the monster who was staring at his chest all this ti had changed his target. Now the monster was staring at his hand.

For a second, Dhruv was sure that he saw the goblin whipping the drool that was escaping its mouth.

’What a weird monster...’ looking at the strange scene in front of him, this thought appeared in Dhruv’s head.

Instead of being frustrated by it, this ti Dhruv exploited the distraction and closed the distance. Though not fully successful, it was a start.

Noticing that the distance between them was only ten ters, Dhruv decided to activate another of his skills. Focusing on the goblin’s chest, he whispered, "Tempest Charge..."

Monts after activating this skill, his legs blurred as he vanished from his spot.

Dub!!!

The sound of sothing dropping on the ground echoed in the surroundings.

Undeterred by anything, Dhruv, spear in hand, aid for the monster’s throat. Disappointingly, the goblin had summoned a stone armor around its neck.

It took Dhruv so ti to fix his posture, and this little delay cost him as the goblin punched him directly in the stomach which sent him flying into the distance.

Gasping for breath, Dhruv dropped to the ground. Wiping blood from his mouth, he looked at the goblin. Although his last attack had missed its mark, seeing that the goblin had lost one of his arms entirely brought great satisfaction to his heart.

Dhruv knew it wasn’t easy to harm a goblin, not when the monster in front of him could track any of his attacks. And thus, he decided to use sothing cheeky while attacking.

A second before activating the Tempest Charge, Dhruv had cast his invisibility spell on himself. It was a gamble on his part; after all, the monster could’ve still tracked him down if it had used mana sense... but the good thing was it didn’t.

Looking at the obliterated hand, the goblin surrounded it with a layer of rock so he wouldn’t lose his blood.

"&^^* ..." Shouting sothing in the language Dhruv couldn’t understand, the monster lifted his hand.

This ti the mana that was gathering on his hand was of a different color. The color of the mana was... Violet.
