A mont later, Alaric erged from the sa spot, with a lifeless goblin’s body in his hand.
"Why are they so fragile..." he grumbled, recalling that everything had gone almost perfectly, and he might have successfully learned this new skill if it weren’t for the fact that those condensed shadows were just god damm too delicate.
"I have to find a way to make them hard, real fast..."
Not satisfied with his little experint he vented all his frustration on the goblins. He began to massacre them, and with each of them defeated, his resolve only grew stronger.
The numbers of the goblins began to dwindle, their ferocity didn’t work in the face of soone who could just turn himself into ethereal.
One by one, the goblins fell beneath Alaric’s shadow and shield magic.
Their feeble attempts to overpower him proved futile as his mastery over both magic and battler far surpassed that of soone like them.
With a swift slash of his dagger, the final goblin t its end. Even when all the goblins had t their end there was still the sound of soone roaring coming from the battler field.
The silence he loved so much wasn’t there...
With a tired yet satisfied gaze, Alaric began surveying the aftermath of the fight. The goblins and the Crystallce, once a nacing threat, now lay defeated and vanquished.
Glancing to his left, Alaric noticed that Azarex was still fighting with spiders. Alaric knew that Azarex’s extended battle wasn’t a sign of weakness; rather, it was a sign that he was likely experinting with his magic and trying to find new ways to make powerful undead...
And from the looks of it, he had indeed been successful in his experint, unlike him.
There is another reason on top of this one and that was the number of spiders, they were just too much.
They were almost thrice the amount of goblins and crystallce combined which was just too much to handle, even with all of him undead combined. And it would have caused a huge problem if he weren’t careful in his attacks.
Thus, Azarex was fighting a slow battle, fully aware of the fact that neither he nor his undead would tire out at any point during the fight, a very special trait they had due to being undead.
Knowing that Azarex didn’t need his help he began moving toward Vexar, intending to scold him for a few minutes.
***
A few minutes earlier,
A loud thud traveled throughout the battlefield capturing the attention of an undead skeleton, who was busy fighting spiders, spiders, and again only spiders.
With his hollow eye, he looked toward the location where the sound had originated. That’s when his gaze landed on the specin who was the reason behind this defaming sound.
He couldn’t help but find himself drawn by the beauty of that massive corpse.
As the seconds passed his bony hand began to itch, he knew he couldn’t control himself so he commanded the ga goblins to bring the corpse toward him.
While the goblins had gone to fetch the huge corpse for him, he resud his battle against the spiders.
The main weapon of spiders, their poison, didn’t affect him, due to him being undead. As for the attacks that were casted with the help of silk magic, he broke free from them by using dark fla—one of the most basic spells in darkness magic.
It didn’t take long before the goblins brought him the massive ice golem’s corpse.
To create the space for summoning the golem, he released so of his undead and started his rituals.
Dark smoke started pouring from under his arms as he used the skill "Death Embrace". The smoke began to cover the whole body of the golem not leaving even a centiter of space. Once the entire body of the golem had been infused with death mana, he then activated the necromancy skill.
Closing his eyes he began to chant sothing in so unknow language. After chanting for a while a pitch-black orb seeped out from his death crystal and landed on his palm.
He looked at the orb for a second before directing it toward the hollow space in his chest, where his formal heart belonged.
The black orb started blending with his blue crystal, which now had turned into a liquid due to Vexar’s attack. After a while, the orb had completely rged with the blue liquid.
After rging with the black orb it once again began to solidify, but another change had happened to it. The blue crystal had slowly begun to transform into the color of the unholyness.
Because it was now implanted with a black heart, a dark liquid started flowing throughout its body, gradually changing its color from pure white to pitch black...
As if a sudden surge of energy coursed through its body, the golem opened its eyes once again.
"Rooooaaaarrrr.."
With a mighty roar, the golem tried to stand up. But it wasn’t easy for him to stand up as Vexar had damaged his legs pretty badly. He struggled for a bit but eventually, it stood up on its two legs. The very first thing it did after standing was extend a hand for Vexar to climb on...
Vexar lifted his leg and placed it on the golem’s hand. The mont his foot made contact with the golem’s body, the transformation of him becoming darker intensified significantly...
By the ti he had reached the golem’s shoulder and sat upon it, the entire golem had transford from pure white ice into sothing resembling a being from the depths of hell.
As soon as Azarex sat on the golem’s shoulder and felt comfortable, several of his Crystallce undead approached the golem and began the process of healing it.
All the wounds he had sustained during the battle with Vexar had healed in just a few seconds, thanks to the assistance of those ga Crystallce.
Now at its full strength, the golem raised its hand into the air and started gathering ice mana upon it...
With the amount of mana it was gathering, it was clear that this spell was going to be massive. And that’s precisely what happened: a few seconds later, nurous ice spears began to rain down on the spiders...
With that single attack, the golem had killed nearly fifty spiders, with hundreds of others being injured...
From that point forward, both the master and his undead began to wreak havoc in the battle..
