"I have to indeed get going," Elayne nodded. "Lord Silvester, Lord Blank, and Lady Chalk... truly, thank you for your help and your support these past weeks. I had... really thought this world no longer had people with kind hearts, but I was wrong. Even though we’ve all faced terrible challenges and, above all, terrible people. I like to think there’s always soone good out there, in every corner, and that a world can never be absolutely evil."
"Elayne..." Blank sighed, looking down in sorrow. "Thank you for coming here and... becoming our friend."
"You also helped us change our minds about what Undead truly were and what they were capable of," Chalk said warmly. "You guys are good, and... I like to think that, like everyone else, Undead can grow to be great people. It’s just that there are evil beings out there manipulating your kind... like the Demon King."
"Yeah... I guess so," Elayne nodded, feeling mixed emotions about the Undead she had killed, though she never regretted her decisions. "We have to go now... I... thank you for everything!"
Elayne spread her arms and hugged both siblings tightly, kissing their cheeks. Blank grew as red as a tomato and began gasping for air, more enthusiastic than ever.
"A-Ah...! E-Elayne... y-you kissed... ?" he gasped.
"Hm? It’s a goodbye kiss. In the living world, when we love soone dearly and must depart, we hug and kiss their cheek or forehead—sotis the nose," Elayne explained with a warm smile. "Sorry, is it too weird of a custom?"
"Hahaha, nah," Chalk chuckled. "Thank you, Elayne... We only t for a brief mont, but... I think you changed our lives."
"Elayne..." Blank murmured. "I want you to know there will always be people here waiting for you—people who... care for you. If you ever need help, don’t hesitate to call for us."
"Hm," Silvester nodded. "And well, we’ll continue our business as usual, is that right?"
"Ah yes," Elayne agreed. "Thank you, sir, for everything. Let’s go, everyone."
Elayne waved her hand. Her party said their goodbyes and quickly fell in behind her, clearly showing who the true leader was here—despite her earlier pretense otherwise when she first entered the city.
As she walked toward the exit and prepared to continue her journey, Elayne glanced back at the ruined monastery with a pang of guilt.

Silvester watched Elayne and her party leave while sighing. He noticed his two children—who had grown so attached to that woman—were on the verge of tears.
In all his life, he had never seen his son and daughter like this. They had never suffered so deeply over soone leaving, and perhaps they had never bonded with anyone to this extent.
It hurt them terribly to see her go. Sohow, her presence had even brought the two siblings much closer together—sothing he had tried for years without success.
"Back to work then, Blank," he said, patting his son’s shoulders. "There’s a city we need to rebuild, son. And a lot of people we lost... I know what you’re thinking, but as a noble, you cannot abandon your people chasing soone you only t for a few weeks. You two have lived for hundreds of years."
"Father... I know," Blank nodded. "And yet, it’s because of that—because I’ve lived for hundreds of years never feeling anything—that now, when I see the woman who changed leaving... I feel like... I cannot just let her walk away."
Silvester was surprised by the intensity in his son’s eyes. "Son... you... are you sure?"
Chalk looked back at her father. "I’m the one always traveling everywhere, Father. How about you let take on my brother’s job?"
"Chalk?!" Her father, who had never seen her so enthusiastic, was taken aback.
"A-Are you sure?" Blank asked her.
"I would love to go too—Elayne is my friend and all—but it feels unfair when I’m the one who’s always traveling and never working," Chalk said with a smile. She kissed her brother’s cheek. "And... I love you, brother, so go for it. I finally see you smile and express your feelings for once, so I don’t want you to be heartbroken all your life. Accompanying her, I know she’ll need a strong bodyguard anyway. And... once everything is over, co back and tell of all the wonders you saw."
Silvester sighed, shaking his head. "Haaa... what am I going to do with these two children? Fine, fine! But only because Chalk’s taking your place, Blank. And Chalk, you better work hard!"

"...Thank you," Blank said, shedding a small tear. "Thank you, Chalk..."
He hugged her back, making her blush before finally letting go. He ran to his room, packed everything necessary, and hurried outside.
"I am going... I am finally stepping out of this town, for once in hundreds of years," he sighed. "Thank you for everything, Father, Chalk... I’ll co back."
"Haaa... good luck, son," his father said with a bittersweet smile. "Please take care."
"Byeeee! Have fun!" Chalk giggled.
Waving his hand, Blank stepped out of his house and ran toward Elayne, who was already nearing the exit gate.
"Elayne! ELAYNE!"
His voice echoed from far away. Elayne turned, eyes widening as she saw Blank rushing toward her.
"L-Lord Blank?"
Blank flew through the skies and descended slowly, smiling with pride. "It is decided. I will accompany you on your journey!"
"Eh?!" Elayne gasped. The rest of the Undead were just as shocked.
