Love . . . . For . Those words resounded in her ears like a song chorus, over and over again. Mira swallowed.
"I want to be honest with you, Jia Hao." She blurted out, being as composed as she could be while letting her voice be welcoming.
[Tread carefully, host!] System warned.
I know, I’m not stupid! Mira responded to system in her mind. Geez, don’t ruin the mont, system.

"I don’t know what happened." Mira uttered. "I woke up one day and decided that the life I lived was not it. I had no choice but to change. I did not want to repeat the sa mistakes the old did and in that resolution, I found you. And we made us sothing special." Mira put a hand on her baby bump. This was her being as honest as she could go without spilling so much. "And I would not have it any other way. I love it here. I love being with you and I love getting to know you. The real you. And I would never do anything to hurt you ever again." Mira said.
Her cheeks flushed. "I do love you, Jia Hao." She admitted. "One would think mating several tis was proof enough." Mira’s cheeks reddened as she said those words. They seed like a confirmation to herself as well. She had grown fond of this world, way more than she thought and right now, she just realised how real this was.
"I needed to hear that. Thank you." Jia Hao said.
Ouch. Mira giggled at his words. It sounded like a; ’I love you’ and ’I appreciate you.’ Conversation between two lovers but she did not mind it.
"Is that everything you wanted to talk about?" Mira questioned. She wanted to be certain that she cleared all his doubts about her intentions with him.
"Mostly. But since I am letting it all out, I will say everything." Jia Hao replied.
There was more?! This old Mira was sothing else! What else did that Mira do that was affecting my present?! Mira cursed in her mind.
"Ming Tao seed to have the assumption that you arrived in the pride due to a complicated engagent with Mu Yang."
Mira’s throat tightened. Mu Yang. That na brought mories flooding in her head. Mu Yang was the na of the man the old owner of this body doted on and sacrificed everything for. He was the reason she maltreated her husbands just to earn his favour. That son of a bitch and that very blind Mira needed a taste of suffering.
"No! Never! I do not like Mu Yang nor do I want anything to do with him!" Mira yelled. She did not notice her anger spiked till she heard herself speak. Mira cleared her throat. That beast man Mu Yang angered her that much. She had been in this body for weeks yet the reason the old Mira did despicable things to her gorgeous husbands had not even dared to care enough to find her. That was a proper son of a bitch! In fact, he was a bitch himself.
"So you ca to because you were done with Mu Yang?"
"No! Hell no! I ca to you because I wanted to be with you." Mira said. "I an it, my love."

Thrown away? She was no piece of trash. She was a living being. And Ming Tao really hated her that much that he wanted her gone permanently from Jia Hao’s life from the day he stepped foot into the pride? That gave Mira goosebumps. The Ming Tao who threatened her the day she eavesdropped made no empty threats and to think he was the one she gave an accidental handjob to ssed with her mind. Those were two distinct personalities right there. But could she bla him?
Mira swallowed.
"I am not saying this to make you turn away from Ming Tao. I believe there can be redemption but I want to be honest with you."
"I know, Jia Hao. I really do. I hold no form of anger towards him. He is my mate after all. I am really glad you confided in and stood by . It really ans a lot." Mira worded, her voice full of concern. It was scary to think that while she was busy existing, Jia Hao was fighting council battles in her stead while one of her husbands was aggressively attacking her. This made her heart be filled with warmth. Jia Hao was her knight in shiny armour and all of this talk made her want to give him several treats for good behaviour .
"That is all I have to say." Jia Hao said. Mira did not need to know Ming Tao suggested that she was carrying the child of another man, the last thing Jia Hao wanted was strife. Mira’s word already cald his mind.
"Thank you for indulging , husband." Mira said. "And I did not spiral." She added. Jia Hao laughed. Yes, she did not. He ca to et her by the bed and got on.
Mira got on too and stayed by his body, her back rested on his chest. Jia Hao’s chest was the perfect, pain soothing wall she needed.
"I made sothing for you." Jia Hao said, threading his hand through Mira’s hair, trying to get her to sleep. It was working. "But I will give it to you after you have birth our baby." Jia Hao whispered and placed a kiss on her head.
Mira’s eyes fluttered close. That statent seed like both a warning and a promise.
