People’s emotions always change with the surrounding things, and Charlotte Miller started feeling sowhat downcast.
She didn’t even know if the sudden sadness was due to her pregnancy making her sensitive or because Atlas Hallow still couldn’t be honest with her about his past affairs?
Charlotte’s expression was dazed; she thought she had made it very clear that if he had a past, she could understand, and she wouldn’t cling irrationally. She just needed to know clearly about his relationship with Hailey Hill, that’s all.
Is it too much to ask for so peace of mind?
This feeling is really unbearable, as if a bit disheartened, mixed with so bitterness.
In this marriage, she was originally in a passive position, and now, after exposing the matter between Atlas Hallow and Hailey Hill, she seed even more passive.
She couldn’t know that it was a pain Atlas Hallow couldn’t express, a past he never wanted to ntion in his life.
When Daniel Parker went to handle this matter, he also felt a bit inexplicable.
He didn’t know why Atlas Hallow suddenly decided to reclaim the house where Hailey Hill was currently living, even instructing that when she leaves, she can’t take anything with her, specifically emphasizing anything—this seed a bit harsh.
This Hailey Hill had an unusual relationship with Atlas Hallow in the past, so Atlas had always taken care of Hailey Hill’s life, but driving her out with nothing seed really out of character for his boss. Money seed to hold little significance for his boss, though such a statent might be exaggerated, it was indeed the case.
But why would his boss be so ticulous over money and property matters with a woman, to the point of being ruthless?
Perhaps Hailey Hill really did sothing to offend his boss, right?
Daniel Parker sighed, realizing that pondering these matters himself was pointless; all he had to do was follow his boss’s instructions.
The festive season had just passed, and though the streets were still decorated with lanterns, they felt sowhat desolate. It was an empty city—no matter how bustling a city was, during festivals, many outsiders returned to their hotowns, making the city seem even quieter during the New Year. It was a strange ti to do a strange thing—only his boss would probably do sothing like this at such a ti?
The apartnt building was near where his boss lived. As Daniel Parker went in, he saw the car prominently parked in a spot below the complex.
Daniel picked up the phone and dialed the number of the driver designated for Hailey Hill.
"President Hallow wants you to take a month off, your duties will be reassigned, and you will no longer be driving for Miss Hill. You don’t need to answer her calls anymore," Daniel said with a level voice, devoid of any inflection, yet on the other end, the driver was left stunned.
Because he had been driving for Hailey Hill for about a decade now—did he do sothing wrong? Otherwise, it wouldn’t be possible to change drivers. In wealthy families, the last thing they liked was changing drivers; if a driver didn’t make any serious mistakes, they’d usually stay until retirent.
He had been quite proper and hadn’t made any errors at work, so why the sudden change?
"Assistant Parker, if I may ask, did I do sothing inadequately?" The driver asked cautiously. It was a good job, the pay wasn’t bad, and the work was easy. He thought he could continue until retirent, but unexpectedly, he lost the job just like that.
"It has nothing to do with you, so don’t worry about it," Daniel continued to speak calmly, but it gave the driver so comfort—it wasn’t his fault, so was it that sothing happened to Miss Hill?
After dealing with the driver, Daniel went into the elevator and reached the apartnt under Atlas Hallow’s na.
He had never been to this place, which could be considered the boss’s hidden indulgence, but not really. There was no physical relationship between the boss and Hailey Hill—it was too complicated to think about, and being an assistant, all he needed to do was handle things properly.
After all, a woman lived here, so he first rang the doorbell twice before taking out the key to the apartnt from his pocket. This key had always been kept at the office by Atlas Hallow, and he went to the Hallow Clan to fetch it before coming.
Hailey Hill was alone in the room, with nothing much to do. She could only sit there lonely. During the festive season, her mother just wanted her to find a way to get more money. Her mother, who liked gambling, spent New Year in Las Vegas and perhaps lost quite a lot again, right?
