Now reading: Chapter 293 - 174 I do not agree to divorce like this from Bride of Retribution: Aloof Billionaire's Dominant Game, a Romance novel by Tang Moye.

Charlotte Miller never discussed anything about Hailey Hill again, as if she never knew this person and as if nothing had ever happened.

However, Atlas Hallow wouldn’t deceive himself. He knew that Hailey Hill was like a tiny thorn lodged in Charlotte Miller’s heart, possibly requiring a long ti and enough patience to slowly remove it.

It wasn’t that he didn’t want to confess; it was his pride that wouldn’t allow him to admit this matter.

He couldn’t talk to Charlotte Miller about the past, couldn’t tell her that Hailey Hill had once been interested in his family background and wealth, deliberately approaching him, and that Hailey Hill’s past was sothing his father knew about. This matter was a sha he never wanted to bring up in his life. How could he possibly speak of it?

Perhaps once Charlotte starts working, she would beco more cheerful. After all, having sothing to do is better than her idling at the Hallow Family, letting her imagination run wild.

"Aren’t you going to Ethan Baird’s company today to give out opening bonuses to the employees? I’ve already prepared everything for you. I’ll have the driver take you there later." After Atlas Hallow finished his morning run and returned to the room, Charlotte Miller had just gotten up. She had ntioned earlier that she would personally hand out the envelopes today. Before leaving, Ethan Baird had said soone else could distribute them, but Charlotte insisted on doing it herself. So Atlas prepared the envelopes and tangerines for her.

Each small red bag contained a paper packet and two golden-yellow honey tangerines. Charlotte Miller took a look and smiled faintly, "No need for you to prepare, Annie Gray will have it all ready."

He was thoughtful, but after all, this was her and Ethan Baird’s company. It didn’t seem appropriate for Atlas Hallow to prepare the opening bonuses for the employees.

"Though you’re the boss, you’re also Mrs. Hallow, you can’t be stingy." Atlas Hallow walked over, kissed Charlotte Miller’s cheek, and said with a smile.

Soone wants to play the god of wealth; she couldn’t object to that. She nodded generously, "Then on behalf of my employees, thank you. Does this count as a consolation from the family?" Charlotte smiled even more sweetly, lting Atlas Hallow’s heart.

There were many things to appreciate about Charlotte Miller. For instance, the way she was now, stubbornly wanting to probe his past but would still act as if nothing happened when he refused to say more, still smiling, was truly comndable. She was restraining her emotions, which touched and sowhat pained Atlas Hallow.

Hailey Hill had long since left their lives, and he would never let that na appear in front of Charlotte Miller again to trouble her.

Because today, he would also deal with Ava Walker and Ella Johnson.

Therefore, he let the driver take Charlotte Miller to Ethan Baird’s company and didn’t accompany her, just to handle all these ssy issues one by one.

Charlotte Miller put on a bright red dress. Although it wasn’t obvious yet, there was a bit of shape showing, so she couldn’t wear sothing too tight anymore. The dress’s cut was exquisite, perfectly concealing her slightly changed body while showcasing a pair of long, slender legs.

"The dress is a bit short, it’s cold outside." Atlas Hallow quietly remarked, looking at those glowing white long legs.

"I’m wearing a coat, it’s not cold." Charlotte Miller picked up a black coat and put it on, casually tied the belt around her waist, then bent down to put on a pair of black boots, but Atlas Hallow already lifted her onto the sofa and helped her put on the boots.

"I’ll pick you up at noon, and we’ll have lunch outside. What do you feel like eating? I’ll have soone book a restaurant." Atlas Hallow checked his watch; handling Ava Walker won’t take much ti, so he can make it to have lunch with her.

"Sorry, President Hallow, I have an appointnt at noon; I’m having lunch with Annie. You can book for afternoon tea." Annie Gray perford impressively, so Charlotte planned to treat her to lunch and discuss the upcoming tasks.

"Is this doing first and reporting later?" Atlas Hallow playfully pinched Charlotte’s cheek, feeling a bit jealous that he had to wait in line to have a al with his wife without being inford first.

"Mm, if that’s what you think, then yes. You pick the afternoon tea venue. I want to have lots of desserts and fruits..." Charlotte picked up her handbag and instructed Atlas Hallow to reserve a spot early and notify her after leaving.

"Have breakfast before you go." Atlas Hallow saw Charlotte looked like she was about to leave and hurriedly pulled her hand to bring her to the dining room for breakfast.

The bird’s nest soup, which Charlotte had to have on an empty stomach daily, was a ritual because Ayla Kim said that eating it every day would ensure baby Hallow’s skin would be fair. After drinking it, Charlotte seriously scrutinized Atlas Hallow. Though his skin was indeed smooth, it was a healthy wheat color, not white. So maybe this wasn’t believable and perhaps nonsense.

Breakfast was more abundant than before. After picking a few items to eat, the driver already parked the car at the marble steps.

"You’re not going out today?" He usually went to the Hallow Clan early, so why not today?

"I still have so things to do." Atlas Hallow had a light porridge breakfast, and after putting down the bowl, he escorted Charlotte to the steps, where the driver had already opened the car door and was respectfully waiting by the side.

"See you in the afternoon then." Charlotte got into the car, waved to Atlas Hallow, then the car slowly drove out through the elaborately wrought iron gates of the Hallow Family’s mansion.

Charlotte’s car hadn’t been gone for twenty minutes when another car drove in.

Sitting in the hall, the long-absent Amir Hallow had returned, lazily sitting on the sofa, watching as a woman slowly walked in from the entrance.

Ava Walker had recovered well and could be discharged from the hospital, but Atlas Hallow did not want to see this woman again. She had beco deranged.

"Amir, have you reviewed the divorce papers drafted by the lawyer? Any objections?" Atlas Hallow knew Amir and Ava Walker had always been at odds, but he still wanted to respect Amir’s decision as it was his marriage after all.

"No objections, you handle it." Amir Hallow shrugged. He had thought this day was far off but was unexpectedly delighted it ca so soon. An unexpected surprise, perhaps?

"Rest assured, her jumping off a building for you doesn’t affect at all. If she were soone I liked, I might have killed you regardless of whether you’re my brother, but she isn’t, so feel free to deal with it. It has nothing to do with , and I wouldn’t feel any remorse, nor seek trouble with you." Amir Hallow sat up straight, his expression turning more serious as he shifted his gaze from Atlas Hallow to Ava Walker’s face.

He wasn’t sure if Ava Walker had heard what he said; it didn’t matter if she did. This woman was incredibly foolish, choosing to ruin a good life, dooming herself for certain this ti.

Ava Walker slowly walked in, looking pale, as she’d sustained serious injuries and couldn’t even manage a bit of makeup coming back from the hospital, her long curly hair hanging in ssy disarray as she stepped into the hall.

Upon seeing Atlas Hallow, she imdiately beca overwhelmingly excited, quickening her steps.

She thought there was still a chance for her, first to secure her position in the Hallow Family. She had grown tired of being confined, and she couldn’t bear a life without money. That was truly worse than a dog’s life.

"Atlas, let’s have a good talk. I promise I won’t cause any more trouble. Consider the relationship we had growing up together..." Ava Walker hastily spoke, going forward to grab Atlas Hallow’s sleeve, hoping to appeal to him.

Her words were abruptly cut off by Atlas Hallow’s icy interruption.

"That’s your sentint, no need to impose it on . Look at the docunt on the table, sign it if it’s okay, and then leave with your mother." This was the greatest leniency he could offer, and Atlas Hallow’s gaze fell on the docunt on the table.

Ava Walker could guess what was in it. With trembling hands, she opened the prepared divorce agreent and read it bit by bit; the further she read, the more fiercely her hands shook.

What kind of divorce agreent was this? Even if she went to court, she wouldn’t end up with nothing, right?

"You an I have to leave with nothing, absolutely nothing, don’t you?" How could Atlas Hallow be so ruthless? She had been married into the Hallow Family for years, yet she wouldn’t get anything? Amir Hallow’s na held no assets; he was already fully prepared, but really to expel her from the Hallow Family like a beggar?

"You never had anything to begin with. What have you contributed to the Hallow Family?" Atlas Hallow found it sowhat amusing. On what grounds did she think she could claim assets? She couldn’t even be considered Amir’s wife, not even by a nominal standard.

"I’m Mrs. Hallow. I don’t agree; I don’t agree to a divorce like this." Ava Walker seed to go mad, furiously tearing the docunt in her hand into shreds, which fluttered down all over the carpet, much like her tumultuous emotions...
