Atlas Hallow thought this might just be Charlotte Miller’s temporary way of venting the pain brought by losing their child, so he didn’t try to control it too much, because he knew well that being too strict would only make the rebellious teenage girl more rebellious.
He believed that ti would change everything and would also soothe all pain. Sotis all he needed to do was wait patiently for the gentle and intelligent girl to find herself again.
The morning light had just begun to brighten, and Atlas Hallow was already awake. How long had it been since he last touched her?
It’s been over a month. Her soft and enticing body exuded a faint rose fragrance, and the curves made his heart race uncontrollably, yet the person sleeping beside him was completely oblivious to his desire, her small body curled into a ball with her face almost buried in the blanket.
Losing this child had been too much of a shock for her, she even rejected intimacy with him. Perhaps subconsciously she was afraid of getting pregnant again?

Charlotte was very sensitive to such touches. When he started to pull at her close-fitting panties, her whole body woke up in fright, opening her eyes to find it wasn’t a dream after all.
"No..." She suddenly turned over, reaching the edge of the bed, almost falling off.
Atlas Hallow’s voice was extrely hoarse, full of burning desire:
"No..." Charlotte shook her head stubbornly like a child, clutching the blanket with a fearful look on her face.
She was trembling with fear; she would never allow herself to beco a tool—a child with him for Vivian Hill, or using her womb for a child with Hailey Hill, both were absolutely not allowed.
In the past, she thought he was alluring when lost in desire, back then even his breath was intoxicating, but now everything made her feel incredibly disgusted.
Atlas watched her pale little face avoiding him, frustrated, he scratched his head, rolled out of bed, and headed to the bathroom.
Early spring was still cold; taking a cold shower must be uncomfortable, right? But Charlotte forced herself not to feel sorry for him because who would pity the baby who was never ant to be with her?
His patience was slowly wearing thin. A man can coax you for a day, two days, but not for a lifeti. Charlotte held the blanket imagining what it would be like when Atlas Hallow’s patience was completely exhausted.
She felt an inexplicable fear at the thought of herself being torn apart and devoured by him...
Atlas finished his shower, ca out of the bathroom naked, holding a large bath towel to wipe the remaining water droplets from his body.
Perhaps due to the cold shower, he seed to emanate a faint chill all over, making Charlotte clutch the blanket even tighter.
Atlas watched Charlotte, was she still so repellent to him? He was about to go crazy with suppression, yet she showed not the slightest intention to communicate with him, she even stopped going to work. Work used to be her favorite thing, yet to avoid contact with him, she could abandon her favorite things, what more did she want?
Hope this rebellious stage ends soon, or else it might really drive him insane.
Without a word, he changed his clothes, then opened the bedroom door and went downstairs. Seeing her hurt him like a knife, it was better to give each other so space and let her return to normal life soon.
After Atlas Hallow left the bedroom, Charlotte curled up in the blanket again, hoping she could continue sleeping, preferably for a longer ti, so she wouldn’t have to think about much. Sleep was the best way to escape everything.
Awake later, she sat dazed, as she hadn’t actually slept long, wanting to, and trying to forget certain pains; maybe shopping would be the best choice for a woman.

Charlotte anesthetized herself, forcing herself to attempt all thods to forget the pain.
She put on an orange sweater, which looked perfectly normal from the front, but once turned, you’d find the sweater exposed nearly half of her back. A huge arc was connected by a royal blue ribbon, from the neck down revealing skin to the waist. Large swathes of snow-white back displayed sensual beauty without restraint. Paired with royal blue jeans and slim pencil pants, every inch of her body’s lines shook with alluring youth and vitality.
