This evening is quite special, with those golden rays shining on his face, a hint of warmth erging with each ray. She bit her lip thinking, would Atlas Hallow kill her tonight and bury her beneath these beautiful flowers and trees?

Thinking of this, she couldn’t help but laugh at herself. Is she really overthinking it, wanting to turn into a ghost under the trees to scare him?

Like a Beast without footsteps, Atlas drew closer slowly, until he was behind the chair where Charlotte Miller lay. The beast-like brutality and rampant coldness on his face vanished in an instant, all withdrawn into his body.

He looked at Charlotte, lying on the chair, her closed eyes and trembling lashes, her ashen, snow-like delicate skin still devoid of color.

It seems that the miscarriage took a big toll on her.

But unlike before, today she was half-lying under the sunset, then the light fell on his face, her pale snow-like skin was painted with the unique, gorgeous color of flowers, looking truly breathtakingly beautiful.

The more beautiful the woman, the more dangerous. This saying is indeed correct.

Charlotte was determined to divorce him, even sending the court’s notice directly to his office.

"Mrs. Hallow, what are you thinking about?"

The man’s deep voice ca from behind her, instantly pulling Charlotte back from her endless reverie.

His voice seed to penetrate the light and shadow, cross through space and ti, directly diving into her heart...

Charlotte paused for a mont, sat up, turned around, and looked at Atlas Hallow.

He returned?

The sunset shone on him, like casting a layer of golden light, making him look like a suprely noble deity, outlining his deep features with startling clarity.

Charlotte’s heart seed to be inadvertently nudged by sothing.

Then she looked up to et his gaze and softly asked him, "When did you co back?"

Charlotte’s heart raced intensely, wondering if he had heard her conversation with Jack Smith earlier?

As she thought about this, she began to recall what she might have said that would anger Atlas Hallow.

Her mind filtered through the thoughts over and over, but when she saw his deep, ink-like eyes, her heart beat faster with each glance, fast enough to seem like a small sphere about to burst from her throat.

In front of this man, no matter what, Charlotte felt she was an emotional failure.

She couldn’t make herself talk to him naturally and composedly.

If they didn’t divorce, she feared staying with him longer would bring back more mories, making her utterly defeated in front of Atlas Hallow.

As long as he took a step back, Atlas would advance ten thousand steps; in the end, she could only retreat, yielding to all of Atlas’s demands for her to do all sorts of things.

He would endlessly possess her body, even turning her into a tool for bearing children, a life Charlotte absolutely didn’t want, a life she never wished to live.

Because if she stayed just for the initial admiration, she would have lost even the most basic dignity.

Being an emotional failure was already the worst thing, she couldn’t live without dignity, could she?

There was another chair beside Charlotte, Atlas sat down, his tall and erect body leaned back, legs crossed, speaking in the light and breezy sunset, "Today, I received the court-delivered divorce agreent..."

Today he was supposed to receive it, but hearing it from Atlas made Charlotte feel sowhat uncomfortable.

In that mont, her mind was blank.

She had anticipated countless reactions Atlas might have upon receiving this agreent, yet this calm and gentle reaction was sothing she had absolutely not expected.

Atlas seed even more calm and gentle than ever before.

Sotis Charlotte wondered what the aning of life was. During her ti married to Atlas, she lost herself more than once, but there was one thing Charlotte still rembered clearly, no matter how lost she got, no matter how she fell for this man, dignity was the one thing that couldn’t be trampled.

Atlas looked at Charlotte’s surprised expression, curling his lips into a faint smile...

"If you’ve thought it through and really want a divorce, just tell directly. Is it necessary to go through such trouble? Letting the court send the agreent? Knowing each other for a while, Charlotte, do you really not understand ?" After Atlas finished saying this, his gentle voice struck Charlotte like thunder.
