Atlas Hallow’s eyes were covered with a layer of cold frost, this ti it was the Baird Family who first provoked him. Even if it were in the United States, he wouldn’t be afraid, let alone here on his own turf.
In this territory, when facing off against the Bairds, it seems he always has the upper hand, making him feel a bit like it’s an unfair victory.
Charlotte Miller stood amidst the crowd waiting for arrivals, looking around, and finally spotted Ethan Baird walking out.
Always simply dressed, yet he exudes such warmth.
Ethan Baird smiled faintly, ca up to Charlotte, put down the luggage, and then reached out to tightly embrace her. His presence, unlike the dangerous aura of Atlas Hallow, felt like a harbor that could warmly accept and embrace her.
"I’ve been gone for so long, how have you been?" Ethan gently rubbed Charlotte’s long hair, asking softly by her ear, "Did you miss ?"
A few diamond-like tears were caught on Charlotte’s long eyelashes. Her slender arms embraced Ethan without a word. This feeling was so good. Her friend, her brother, the one she trusted, had finally returned.
A hint of unease lingered in the air; Ethan looked up to see Atlas Hallow standing just ten ters behind Charlotte.
This little girl didn’t even know she was being followed, but if Atlas wanted to follow her without being noticed, Charlotte was definitely not a match for him.
Ethan’s calm, clear gaze swept over the tall man without the slightest retreat.
"Alright, Charlotte crying here, people might think I’m bullying you." He took out a plain handkerchief from his pocket, gently wiped Charlotte’s face, and then leaned in to her ear to whisper, "Atlas is here too, did you know that?"
Upon hearing the na, Charlotte’s body trembled heavily, then she turned around and saw Atlas Hallow standing in the crowd, dressed in a black suit.
Ethan took Charlotte’s hand and stepped forward, approaching Atlas Hallow.
"President Hallow is here to pick up soone too?" Ethan greeted Atlas Hallow brightly and openly.
"No, I followed Charlotte here," Atlas Hallow admitted frankly, indicating he indeed followed Charlotte.
"Should you co back with now?" From Atlas’s perspective, Ethan holding Charlotte’s hand made him want to separate them with a blade.
"President Hallow, this is peculiar, isn’t it? Since you’re already divorced, why should Charlotte still go back with you?" Ethan’s speculation was spot on, Atlas was still clinging to Charlotte.
This damned man, worse than a beast, even without a title wants to take advantage of Charlotte.
"Ethan, this is strange. I’m taking her, not you. What’s your objection?" Atlas just wanted to see firsthand how Charlotte would react; surely she rushed to Ethan as soon as she saw him.
The scene almost burned his eyes.
Ethan knew that beneath Atlas’s seemingly calm expression was a cold animosity towards him.
"Charlotte, let’s go..." Ethan looked at Charlotte, noticing her complexion was pale, even her lips had lost color. Indeed, Atlas had done many bad things to frighten Charlotte.
"I’m back, Charlotte, you have nothing to fear." Ethan said loudly, aid not just at Charlotte but also for Atlas to hear.
Charlotte’s tears fell, the suppressed grievance and bitterness of many days ca rushing overwhelming her, leaving no chance to conceal her emotions.
Atlas stepped forward, reaching out to grab Charlotte’s arm: "Charlotte, co back with ."
His voice was like the wind and snow of the winter cutting into one’s life with pain, making the entire vast airport bitterly cold...
