"The recorder wasn’t originally in my hands; Ava Walker gave it to . I just fear that Atlas Hallow wants to take my husband’s child and snatch away the shares left by the old master for the eldest grandson." Kinsley Lee raised her head to look at Amir, and realized she was also acting for her son, which made her more justified.

"So you let Charlotte Miller hear those things, was it the day she fell down the stairs?" Amir was completely shocked, he really couldn’t believe his mother could do such a foolish thing.

Now he thought Atlas Hallow was giving him face, which really wasn’t nonsense.

Anyone else would have probably been dead without knowing how.

"How was I supposed to know she was so delicate? She was careless herself, can you bla ?" Kinsley Lee continued to argue, Amir stood up and stepped back, looking at her as if staring at a monster.

"Mom, what are you fighting for? I have more money than I could spend in this lifeti, let alone ten lifetis. Haven’t you noticed big brother has placed Charlotte Miller on a pedestal? His gaze towards her is different, how could he possibly let her be a surrogate? You made Charlotte divorce him, the fact he didn’t kill you is truly giving face..." Amir closed his eyes, never has he felt so troubled in this mont.

He couldn’t bring himself to ask Atlas Hallow to show leniency, yet he couldn’t just watch his mother face the prospect of prison.

He needed so quiet ti to think, so he left the visitation room, even driving ho in a daze.

There might be only one person in the world who could change Atlas Hallow’s mind, and that was Charlotte Miller.

But would Charlotte help him plead with Atlas Hallow? Even thinking of it made him chuckle.

Charlotte wasn’t aware of all the things happening with the Hallow Family. After Rogers had showered and changed, she was planning to take him out to enjoy his favorite roast duck.

Hospitality requires proper effort.

"Rogers, I’ve already made a reservation, we should be able to eat it imdiately when we get there." Although dinner ti had passed, she still instructed the kitchen to prepare ahead.

Rogers had finished changing and erged from his bedroom, dressed casually and fresh, like the sunshine in March.

His amber eyes sparkled with excitent as he said, "Can I... count this as fulfilling my wish?" He pondered for quite a while before finding the term ’fulfilling my wish’.

"Yes, I figured pure Chinese cuisine might not suit your taste, so I picked a fusion restaurant." After picking him up from the airport, having bumped into Atlas Hallow, and waiting for Rogers to shower and change, she was indeed hungry.

She quickly drove to the restaurant.

"Charlotte, your ex-husband is extrely good-looking." The complint was heartfelt; Rogers found Atlas Hallow’s features distinct, possessing a Western depth and Eastern mystery.

"Have you taken a liking to him?" Charlotte chuckled. Atlas Hallow’s appearance was indeed appealing, like a candy tempting one to take a bite, but beneath that sweetness lay lethal poison, capable of killing if one wasn’t careful.

"He’s only taken a liking to you." Rogers shrugged, just now he could see that Charlotte’s ex-husband really cares about her.

"We’re here..." Charlotte intentionally avoided the topic. She didn’t want to discuss Atlas Hallow while eating, as it would certainly spoil her appetite.

The waiter led Charlotte to a spot in the hall to sit. Their seat was near the oven; she should have booked a private room, but she thought Rogers always loved roast duck, and seeing how it was made might make him happier.

Though it wasn’t pri dining ti, there were still people eating roast duck. The chef suspended the duck in the oven, skillfully rotating it so it heated evenly, ensuring it was cooked thoroughly.

Not long after, a roasted duck was taken out, its glossy mahogany hue sparkling; plump in shape, suggesting a crispy skin, crispy outside and tender inside, accompanied by a fruity wood aroma.

The table already laid out neatly with small plates, such as sweet bean sauce, white scallion shreds, cucumber, the basics for roast duck, along with creative options like sugar, minced ginger, garlic paste, radish, and pickled vegetables. The chef sliced the duck, and Rogers eagerly started eating with the pancake wrap.

Not far from them at another table, two n were eating together, occasionally watching Charlotte and Rogers’ every move discreetly.

In the hotel, the manager personally took the room card and opened the door.

This was against the rules, but there was no choice. If it wasn’t done, the hotel might face troubles, possibly even acquisition?

"Mr. Hallow, co in please..." The manager cautiously gestured and stepped aside for the cold man behind him, who entered the room, then closed the door.

Heavens, let this man leave the suite before the guest returns.

If they et, it wouldn’t be good; what could be said then?

People who could afford such rooms aren’t ordinary, and explaining it might not be easy.

The hotel manager was puzzled why there was insistence on entering another’s room; given Atlas Hallow’s standing, he wouldn’t be there to steal, right?

So what does he want?

Atlas Hallow looked at the spacious room, so clean and orderly it seed unoccupied.

Even her scent in the air was faint, almost undetectable.

This hotel’s "Royal Suite" spanned 280 square ters, furnished with teak decks on the top-floor sky palace, its outdoor garden terrace nearly 300 square ters. It was equipped with Miele appliances and offered excellent views with high privacy, plus personal chef and housekeeper providing personalized service.

She used to not care much about these things but used to call it wasteful; however, she booked this room for Rogers. Atlas Hallow walked directly towards the bedroom.

The suite included three bedrooms, but the master bedroom was instantly recognizable.

Walking in step by step, each heartbeat seed to pull on him, requiring extra breaths from the pain to continue.

Her words echoed in his ears; she said absence makes the heart grow fonder, were there any amorous monts that just occurred in this bedroom?

This thought drove him mad, heedlessly wanting to see, he truly was beyond saving...

The bedroom was also neat, not even a crease on the sheets, Atlas stood, examining without missing a detail.

Had nothing happened in that hour or so they spent in the room?
