Joseph Shaw was about to go crazy, that damned woman turned off her phone again.
He just knew it, a few days ago she surprisingly agreed to et with him so readily, that night she was so proactive it felt even better than hitting the jackpot in the lottery; dammit, not even two days of bliss, and she turned off her phone again.
This was all a bad habit he had indulged her in, not wanting to bother her over the years, letting her be like this—indifferently ignoring him, turning off her phone at any ti, not answering his calls, and such.
He really couldn’t tolerate it anymore.
Driving towards Annie’s office, recently his fiancée ca back, irritating him to the point where he almost wanted to curse.
The frustration in his chest was about to overflow, he had to find Annie.
He knew the elevator code, so he went straight up, normally he didn’t like coming here because Atlas Hallow’s wife always had a bad temper, just made him uncomfortable, she was always brainwashing Annie with concepts like independence, which made Annie increasingly unreasonable.
Once he arrived at Annie’s office, he found soone else there instead.
She wasn’t here?
"Hello, sir, are you here to see President Miller? Do you have an appointnt?" The newly arrived secretary was startled by the sudden door-pushing Joseph Shaw, wondering how he got up here without notification.
However, he really was very handso; those enchanting eyes made people feel like their hearts were thumping wildly.
"Where’s Assistant Gray?" Where the hell did she go? Not even in her office? Joseph Shaw’s tone was filled with displeasure, as if he could hit soone the next second.
"I’m not sure either; I’m just temporarily filling in." The substitute secretary was so scared by Joseph Shaw’s tone she almost started stamring, this man really had an intimidating aura, making people afraid; such a good-looking person, if he were a bit gentler, probably a trainload of girls would like him.
Sobody’s got to know.
He slamd the door, then barged into Charlotte Miller’s office.
At that mont, Charlotte Miller was with a guest.
"Ms. White, I’m really sorry for having you co personally, I just happen to have a video conference in a bit, otherwise I should have visited your studio." Charlotte apologized, as Annie’s schedule was very tight, not having a grand ceremony but there was still a service at the chapel.
Even though she said she didn’t have any particular religious beliefs, it seed like having such a ceremony made it feel like a real wedding, so Charlotte organized everything, Tina White is the top bridal designer in the country, because of ti constraints there was no way to custom-make anything, luckily there were a few ready-made pieces.
Tina White smiled gently, appearing very elegant.
She was wearing a loose white robe, which seed to be painted with ink-drawn bamboo, her long hair reached her waist, her face soft and gentle.
Her voice was pleasant, just like the soft Wu dialect described in literature: "Miss Miller, you’re too kind, I just happened to co for a look too, it’s always said your office’s location has the highest rent, there was a ti I wanted to move here, but thinking about it, it’s too expensive, so I didn’t. The view here truly is excellent..."
After she finished speaking, Tina handed a large album to Charlotte.
"Take a look here at the few ready-made wedding gowns, all the handiwork is top-notch, let alone the materials, if you like any and need a bit of alteration, I’ll have soone do it imdiately, should be ready in ti for the wedding."
Looking at the album, Charlotte’s lips curled into a smile, indeed no girl could resist the allure of a wedding dress.
She looked at a few, finally liking an off-the-shoulder rmaid dress, though it was a rmaid dress, the train flowed very long, romantic, carefree, yet sexy. This style should be most suitable for Annie.
Charlotte pointed to the one she fancied, then smiled and told Tina: "The girl who will wear this wedding dress actually has a great figure, probably about five-foot-six, should be considered a model-standard body, of course, slightly more voluptuous than a model, and with high heels, it basically doesn’t need any alterations."
Then she took out a photo of Annie from her phone to show Tina, thinking about her friend having a blissful marriage made her feel happy for Annie too, so her voice brimd with joy as she spoke: "This is her, do you think it’s suitable?"
