The dealer made a starting gesture, and all the wall lights, along with dozens of crystal lights above, all went out together, focusing the spotlight on the gambling table in the entire luxurious hall.

The seats were filled with spectators, each with eyes turning crimson. Today, at least ninety-nine percent had placed heavy bets on Tate Hunter’s win, yet this woman unexpectedly erged in the middle.

Although she claid to be Joshua Hughes’s wife, how could it be possible for Joshua to get married without anyone knowing?

What exactly happened in between?

The entire enormous venue was filled with spectators whose blood boiled; even without the scent of blood, the atmosphere was like the strongest and most stimulating wine, shattered and burning throughout the venue.

He remained indifferent to these people. What did their losses have to do with him? Joshua Hughes’s sharp, thin lips faintly pressed, sitting there cold and elegant. From this angle, through Avery Jane’s petite figure, he could see the man sitting opposite her with a lascivious gaze, his lips curling into a cold smile, carrying a playful seriousness.

The spotlight illuminated the two people sitting at the table facing each other clearly. Besides the heartbeat and breathing, it was so quiet, yet amidst this silence, it felt like it could explode into mad shouts at any mont. The atmosphere in the whole scene ignited upon the dealer deftly dealing the first card...

Avery Jane’s palms were sweating coldly. Her luck apparently wasn’t so good this ti, she had a premonition.

She watched the smug smile on the face of the man opposite her. She had lost this round. Could it be that the good luck that always favored her was not with her today?

Avery Jane covered the cards, indicating her concession, and the dealer stopped dealing further.

Tate Hunter looked at Avery Jane’s stunningly beautiful face, smiling smugly.

He thought that getting into the finals was perhaps because Edward Parker intentionally let her in, thinking she might at least have so skill, but it seems she is quite ordinary.

This ti, he estimated not only would he win a large sum of money but also side bets, and even have fun with such a beauty—truly gratifying.

Avery Jane glanced at him, slowly removed the shawl she had around her shoulders, imdiately eliciting heavy breathing from all the n present.

She just slightly shifted her body, revealing her fair, lotus-like arm, even allowing a glimpse of her half-turned back’s contour. Wearing a backless evening dress, it was evident she wore no underwear, with the fine spaghetti straps seemingly enticing n to tear or bite them off. When she lifted her eyes to look at him again, it was as if the starry river was frozen, brilliant and dazzling...

A vast, smooth, white back was exposed to everyone’s eyes, perfect and evenly toned, adding an inch too plump, subtracting one too thin, without a trace of flaw like a piece of exquisite, moist suet jade, glowing phosphorescently under such spotlight.

Joshua Hughes felt his breath catch, his scalp tighten. She actually dared to play the beauty strategy—and played it so beautifully.

She just had to sit facing that man across from her, knowing that her entire bare back was exposed without him getting a good look—what exquisite torture and despair it must be.

No matter how beautifully Avery Jane played this hand, he felt like pulling out a gun to fire a warning, making everyone close their eyes. She was his.

The graceful figure reminded him of countless passionate nights when, exhausted, she’d fall asleep, her beautiful back exposed for him to slowly kiss every inch of its perfect skin. He could only imagine that what’s in his mind now is what all n are thinking, including Tate Hunter sitting at the table.

Charlotte Miller sat beside him, not too far away was Joshua Hughes, and Atlas Hallow felt a bit uncomfortable. Naturally, he couldn’t look too much; it was too impolite and disrespectful, yet he couldn’t very well close his eyes, thus he could see everything.

Joshua Hughes’s eyes turned crimson, fists slowly clenching, holding back despite not seeing her facial expression. He could imagine the faint smile on her face now; she’d already won this round.

The most intense round finally arrived: best of three.

This round was the legendary life and death ga...

The dealer began a new round of dealing; "show hand" was actually quite simple. Each player got one hole card which remained face-down until the showdown.

From the second card onwards, with each card dealt, the bigger the visible card, the higher the stake.

Those wishing to proceed could call, betting the sa amount as the last, or raise. If feeling their hands weren’t promising and not wanting to continue, they could fold, accepting the loss and awaiting the ga’s end. The previously bet chips could not be retrieved.

The last round of betting was critical. In this round, players could go all-in, wagering the maximum chips other non-fold players could match. After all bets were clarified, players reveal their hole cards to determine victory.

At this mont, the player with the largest hand wins all chips on the table.

Today, they were gambling on "show hand," able to pose conditions on the last card.

The first card dealt to Avery Jane was a King of Hearts. Her mouth curled into a smile; she was sure to win this round, as the King of Hearts had always been her lucky charm, with the king constantly protecting her. Facing her, Tate Hunter also smirked. It seed he, too, had not drawn a bad hand.

People were now stretched to their limits with tension, nerves drawn like a tightly strung bow. What excitent matched such events, with colossal stakes, the life-and-death pact, and the rarely-seen peerless beauty making it overwhelmingly thrilling?

The last card was dealt—the final card that could determine fate, pushed from the dealer’s tool.

Tate Hunter looked at his card with increasing smugness. Avery Jane reached to grab the card pushed in front of her, and suddenly, the unexpected occurred...

:"Ah?" Avery Jane’s voice had a hint of fright, yet it sounded sweetly coy and soft. At the mont she raised her hand to take the card, the thin strap on the right side of her evening gown snapped. Before anyone could react, she swiftly covered the tempting fullness with her left hand while her right hand elegantly swept and pulled the shawl hanging on her chair, creating a beautiful arc through the air, then smoothly draped over her shoulders, covering her enticing figure securely, not an extra inch of skin exposed.

Incomprehensibly, Atlas Hallow felt Joshua Hughes might want to kill all n on earth, turning away automatically, he didn’t want see anything and yet, at this holding mont, had gotten himself into trouble.

"Atlas Hallow, what are you doing?" Charlotte Miller tugged at his sleeve, sensing he was unusually unsettled today.

It was indeed a tense mont...

Everyone present sighed regretfully. Such a beautiful woman, yet her shoulder strap broke, and still, none of them saw a thing.

The woman’s actions were too fast; by the ti people reacted, she had already don the shawl.

Tate Hunter was montarily stupefied, quickly coming to his senses. Now he only had to see the woman reveal her cards; her last card couldn’t be the Ace of Hearts, this round he was sure to win.

In the audience, Joshua Hughes wore an elegantly noble black suit, from shirt to pants, to the suit jacket. Yet even such black couldn’t match his ink-deep, profound gaze, filled with murderous intent.

If he had known she would play such a hand today, he would’ve already bloodily purged the Hunter Family.

Despite confirming Tate Hunter saw nothing, he still wanted to kill, desperately so.

Just at the mont when the cards were about to be revealed, Charlotte Miller was tugging Atlas Hallow’s sleeve so intensely it could almost rip, her heart nearly leaping out of her chest from nervousness.

"Sorry, you lost." Avery Jane softly spoke, her voice not loud yet with an almost fatal penetration, echoing in every attendee’s eardrums.

Her fair as snow, delicate as orchid fingers gently turned over the card, unveiling an Ace of Hearts.

Everyone froze, dumbfounded by this unexpected turn.

Tension, fury, despair, all kinds of different emotions boiled like large bubbling cauldrons, suffocating...

Joshua Hughes coldly watched all this. Even with her victory, it could not soften the lines between his brows and eyes; still as stern as a glacier.

He was angry; Julian Carter felt a bit afraid, knowing the boss turned terrifyingly abnormal when genuinely angry.

"Impossible, how could it be, the Ace of Hearts must still be in the undealt deck, you’re cheating..." Tate Hunter suddenly shouted, nearly maddened, fiercely staring at the woman opposite him.

Avery Jane was montarily stunned, her heart racing violently.

If another Ace of Hearts was found in that deck, today she would undoubtedly et a fate more tragic than her father’s...
