"Your beauty is also key..." Charlotte chuckled, then said seriously, "If when I first went to register with you, the first person I saw was an outrageously ugly man, do you think I would have gone through with it? I might have called Ethan for help, causing a huge scene, and there’s no way I’d be watching a movie with you now."
"Besides my beauty, isn’t there anything else, like my talent?" Atlas Hallow’s deep voice seed almost hypnotic, whereas if another man said that, it would definitely sound quite disgusting.
But when he said it, it didn’t feel like that at all.
He truly was both handso and highly talented.
But those were all secondary; the most crucial thing was that he was a seemingly cold but inwardly sensitive and soft-hearted man.
"I like how your heart is as rich and calm as a lake amidst mountains, holding treasures I could never fully uncover." Charlotte tilted her delicate face upward, closing her eyes slightly in the golden sunset. The fragile light danced on her long lashes, beautiful as an elf.
"Then take your ti to dig; this privilege, I give only to you for my entire life. You have all the ti in the world." Atlas chuckled deeply. This little girl of his, when she spoke romantically, made one willing to die for her.
The car parked in the underground lot, and although it wasn’t a holiday, there were still a decent number of people. After all, the weather wasn’t fit for the outskirts, where you’d be drenched in sweat and plagued by mosquitoes. So the gigantic mall beca the perfect place for people to relax and cool off.
"There’s half an hour left. You bought the movie tickets today, so I’ll cover dinner." Charlotte tugged on Atlas’s arm, pointing at a burger joint: "This is most suitable, and won’t delay the movie."
"Whatever makes you happy." Atlas shrugged indifferently, looking at Charlotte with doting eyes.
The passing girls were dumbfounded.
"Oh my, this guy is way too handso..."
"More handso than a movie star..."
"Isn’t he filming an idol drama?"
"He must be at least six feet one..."
"He’s not just six feet one, nor is he a movie star or filming an idol drama. He’s just my boyfriend. If you want his number, I can give it to you..." Charlotte turned around and smiled at the group of young girls behind them, scaring them into blushing and fleeing swiftly.
"Your reverse psychology worked well. Are you sure they won’t be asking for my number?" Atlas, as they walked into the burger place, looked at the nu and chuckled.
"They’d have to dare, without considering who they’re up against?" Charlotte laughed proudly. These young girls were a piece of cake for her and no challenge at all.
"What do you want to eat?" Charlotte glanced quickly at the nu. Since it was sumr, they had introduced a burger with pineapple slices and chicken. She ordered one along with a lemon juice, while Atlas got a beef burger and a cola.
"You probably didn’t eat such pedestrian food before." Charlotte spoke in a low voice, observing Atlas eat the burger with incredible elegance, making the burger seem upmarket in his hands.
"So, my first is with you, isn’t that good?" Atlas’s deep, magnetic voice spread through the air.
This line was just loud enough for the two girls at the next table to hear. One of the girls choked on her cola at the phrase "my first with you" and spurted it out on the face of her stunned friend.
For a mont, it was a bit chaotic...
Charlotte watched it all unfold, thinking this man really was a charr, always attracting a bunch of girls wherever he went.
Also, that earlier statent had a suggestive intent.
"Co on, you know best who you gave your first to." Charlotte said with a disdainful face, for Atlas’s past was a painful history for her, annoying whenever brought up.
The man across from her continued to smile faintly, watching her nibble on her lip. He then reached out his right hand to touch her lips, his long and well-defined fingers brushing before her eyes: "My first..."
Charlotte’s face turned red hot. Was he indicating that with his gesture and why touch her lips afterward? How annoying this man was.
Picking up a wet wipe, she wiped her lips vigorously, her mind involuntarily imagining Atlas acting on his claim.
Those damn attractive fingers...
The movie was about to start. After retrieving their tickets from the machine, they entered the cinema.
The last four rows were unexpectedly empty, with just the two of them?
She said they couldn’t rent the entire theater, so did he buy out the best rear four rows?
Thus, Atlas’s life was still a bit distant from the ordinary, but even so, Charlotte felt content. He was willing to adapt to her lifestyle habits for her.
Charlotte’s head lightly rested on Atlas’s shoulder, sighing softly to herself, how nice would it have been if it started this way.
Like everyone else, eting, knowing, loving, staying together; but their sequence was mixed up.
But it was also this sequence that brought about Mia, so it all seed regrettable yet wasn’t, right?
"Let’s have our own theater; the air here isn’t great, it bothers you after a while." He knew Charlotte disliked places with poor air, and this cinema was too sealed with an unpleasant sll. Charlotte probably wouldn’t want to co here again.
Sure enough, she nodded in agreent: "The sll isn’t too good."
After the movie, Atlas drove toward his apartnt, but Charlotte shook her head: "I want to go back and see Mia..."
Atlas checked his watch, his voice gentle: "Be good, we won’t go back today. It’s almost ten, Mia’s long asleep, yesterday we took her out for so ice cream she loved."
Saying so, he leaned in, speaking softly in Charlotte’s ear: "Just stay with tonight..."
The intent was so clear, Charlotte didn’t refuse anymore.
In the elevator, it was just the two of them. Atlas couldn’t resist any longer, bowing his head to kiss Charlotte’s soft lips gently, transitioning from tender kisses to an uncontrollable passion, as if trying to draw her very soul out.
Once the elevator doors opened, Atlas continued kissing relentlessly, finally lifting Charlotte, wrapping her legs around his waist, and moving forward...
Charlotte giggled, holding onto his shoulders. He was tall, so while holding her like this, she looked down slightly on him, rarely getting the chance to see him from such a high vantage.
His starry eyes and sharp brows could truly captivate any woman’s heart.
Charlotte’s fingers lightly traced his prominent nose, softly speaking: "Do you want it that badly?"
His body temperature rose rapidly, as if trying to lt her bones through her skin.
Her scent, lightly sweet and rosy, enveloped him in a cocoon, wrapping him inside. Atlas, with one hand supporting Charlotte’s butt, pressed on the fingerprint lock, and the door opened in response...
A night of passion, leaving Charlotte’s face hot just thinking about it.
It wasn’t until dawn that he was satisfied, kissing her forehead: "Charlotte, I can’t wait any longer; we must get married soon."
He wanted to marry her right away, allowing no further delay.
He wanted the rightful bed rights, needing no reason to sleep with her every day, being there whenever she needed, giving her a ho to shelter from the storm, a ho belonging to them, not flitting between Foster Family’s yard, his apartnt, or hotels.
These days, Atlas found himself a bit amusing. With all those properties, he still had to book hotels for dates, even making him a bit angry.
Since Charlotte’s return, he began constructing a place, and now it was showing its most beautiful form.
"Hmm..." She was exhausted beyond words, yet very satisfied. Charlotte vaguely heard him say sothing about marriage.
Seems like they should indeed get married, with no reason to refuse him anymore, right?
Through the years, she was never a pretentious woman; she needed a process to know him, forgive him, accept him.
Though once scarred, he had slowly healed everything; if such a perfect love required past pains, she’d choose to be hurt, for the subsequent sweet love was srizingly delightful, hard to refuse.
Her soft response made Atlas’s heart flutter; he knew she wouldn’t reject him, yet he was still moved.
Having her was wonderful, a feeling no amount of money could replace.
He wrapped Charlotte in his arms, adjusted the temperature, pulled up the duvet, and drifted into sleep.
That night, Charlotte slept soundly, feeling as secure as always with him there...
