"Mr. Smith, can you spare so ti after you finish work today? I have sothing I’d like to discuss with you." Charlotte Miller withdrew her hand from Jack Smith’s grasp, standing before him, her rosy lips seemingly still slightly swollen as she spoke.
Damn Atlas Hallow, even after that kiss, her lips still throbbed a bit. Couldn’t he be a bit gentler?
Even his kiss was so domineering it nearly took away all her breath.
"Sure, are you asking out?" Jack Smith was obviously the center of attention in the crowd, yet he casually joked with her, unbothered by the focused gazes surrounding them.
"I’m asking you out, but it’s just to discuss work matters, don’t misunderstand." Charlotte quickly clarified. She wasn’t his fan; her reason for talking to him today was genuinely just out of concern for Luna Miller’s fifty-million-dollar investnt.
"You’re completely different from your sister." Jack Smith looked at Charlotte’s face, trying to find so similarities between Luna Miller and Charlotte Miller, but found very few.
Both were beautiful. Luna was the kind of stunning woman whose allure was dazzling at first glance, a passion that n could comfortably enjoy. In contrast, Charlotte was entirely different.
Her beauty carried a sense of purity; her every move was incredibly elegant. Perhaps it was due to rumors of her mother being a true noble. Clearly, all this nobility seed to have been passed on to Charlotte. Such a woman doesn’t need to take the initiative; n are naturally drawn to approach her, even possess her.
"Go ahead with your work. I won’t disturb you." With so many eyes watching, Charlotte didn’t want to bring trouble upon herself. Leaving any leverage behind would be bad. Although her identity as the wife of the president had not been made public, she also needed to act with propriety to avoid giving Atlas Hallow any leverage.
"It’s not a disturbance; I happen to have about an hour free right now. If there’s anything we need to discuss, we can do it first. Otherwise, once filming starts, I won’t know what might co up, or I might not have a break all day." Jack Smith glanced at the ti. They were in the middle of a light test, actors were in makeup, and so preliminary work was still being done, so he still had about an hour free.
He had a habit of arriving early, whether for recording a show or filming a movie. It turned out to be useful today.
Chatting with Charlotte Miller always brought a pleasant feeling, as if the whole heart was set on a swing and then pushed high up. Whether it was because she was beautiful enough, or her voice was lodious, or sothing else entirely, he couldn’t quite tell.
"Hmm, how about we go to the café on the 41st floor?" Charlotte thought it over. It was good to quickly understand the situation. She needed the film crew to produce an investnt proposal and so necessary legal docunts; none of these could be left out.
Luna wouldn’t provide them, so Charlotte had to request them herself. Now, she’d need Jack Smith’s cooperation. After all, everything Luna did was for Jack Smith, or at least under his na. Jack should cooperate with her work.
"Sure..." Why wouldn’t it be okay? Of course, it was okay. Jack Smith nodded, quickly instructing his assistant before following Charlotte out.
