Charlotte Miller's heart leaped to her throat; did Atlas Hallow hear anything just now?

"What's wrong?" The man walked in, his tall figure casting a shadow over her, enveloping her completely. His unique scent perated her breath as he drew closer.

"Nothing..." Charlotte's watery eyes blinked; she guessed he hadn't heard anything.

Atlas Hallow walked in, picked up the docunts on the sofa, glanced at Charlotte's slightly pale face, and his thin lips parted: "If you need anything, just tell the housekeeper." With those words, he left.

When he's around, there's always a sense of oppression; even breathing feels labored. Perhaps his aura is too overpowering. When he left, Charlotte let out a sigh of relief, watching until the car slowly drove out of the black iron gate adorned with carvings.

Finally, he's really gone. Charlotte rembered another awkward thing.

The gift Luna Miller sent her should almost be here, right? Luna probably had soone deliver it, and it should be well-packaged, not revealing anything strange, right?

It's simply a nightmare; she doesn't need it at all, and given her almost nonexistent experience, Atlas Hallow is definitely a man who can climax just by looking at him.

She paced back and forth on the shaggy carpet; Charlotte usually prefers to follow a routine, and suddenly being disrupted made her anxious, prompting her to call Ethan Baird.

"Ethan, I'm a bit confused. Actually, it's not just ; the whole Hallow Family is too strange." Ethan Baird is her business partner and best friend, soone she mutually appreciates and trusts.

A woman having a true friendship with a man is rare, almost impossible, but she's lucky to have such a male friend.

A male friend can offer a different worldview, and Charlotte believes n and won see things differently. She can learn many things from Ethan Baird.

"Then deal with confusion by adding more chaos; join in and muddle the waters so you can fish," Ethan said seriously, devoid of earlier jokes. "How much does the Miller Family owe that they need to sell you off? Maybe I can buy your freedom."

"It's not about the money." Charlotte sighed heavily; being at soone else's rcy felt terrible: "I need to find out why the Hallow Family insists on marrying a Miller Family daughter, even accepting a last-minute substitution." That's the most urgent matter; unlocking this mystery could lead to a solution.

A thought suddenly flashed through Charlotte's mind: was Atlas Hallow really, as Luna said, a man with hidden ailnts? Over ti, without a wife and children, it might invite speculation. After all, he holds an entire business empire in his hands, and having enough prestige is crucial, also tied to a man's self-esteem.

If the Miller Family's weak spots fell into Atlas Hallow's hands, he knew his body's issues, and perhaps Charlotte or Luna wouldn't dare casually disclose it. Could it be like this?

"If it's not about money, then it's a big problem. I've booked my flight; see you tomorrow, sweetheart..." Phone calls can never clarify things, Ethan Baird concluded the call with his last words and hung up. He needed to buy so things, a kind of wedding gift.

"Ethan, Ethan..." When will he change? Always so impulsive, turning words into action, Charlotte looked at the sky outside, waves of unease surging in her chest, preventing her brows from relaxing.

The Hallow Family is more complicated than she imagined.

The car traveled down the highway, vehicles congested at this hour, moving not too fast, but steadily weaving through the traffic. Ava Walker looked at the man in the driver's seat, a victorious smile gracing her lips.

No matter if he marries or not, the one beside him will definitely be her; no one can change that.

"Atlas, will you be mad at ?" Ava Walker bit her lip and smiled, her finger lightly touching Atlas Hallow's arm, her coquettish gaze vivid and enchanting.

"Don't provoke Charlotte Miller." Atlas Hallow's gaze was deep and dark as the sea; his low voice rose in the cabin, like the cold mist diffusing in late autumn.

His mind lingered on the phone call he had inadvertently overheard this morning, though it wasn't loud, yet he heard it clearly.

Who was Charlotte Miller talking to? Her phone conversation involved huge dostic capital flows, data precise enough to earn his admiration. She had only arrived at the airport yesterday, previously staying in the United States; how was she that familiar with these figures?

She is intriguing, significantly more so than her sister. It seems life ahead won't be too boring.

"Atlas, did you sleep with her last night?" Ava Walker sensed a trace of discord in the air, her voice becoming sharply agitated.

"She's my woman, shouldn't I?" Atlas Hallow's mouth curled into a cold smile, suddenly creating an insurmountable distance. "Ava Walker, my tolerance has limits. Don't squander it lightly. You must know that if I wish, I can keep all secrets; dead n can't speak..."

Ava Walker shivered, looking at Atlas Hallow, the man she grew up with, seeming in an instant to transform into soone she didn't even recognize.
