The car ca to a steady stop. The driver, already aware, got out and closed the car door.
The housekeeper stood far away with the servants on the steps outside, waiting uniformly.
She was a little nervous. Joshua Hughes gently kissed her cheek, "I’ll let you go for now, but you better be enthusiastic tonight."
Avery Jane seed to breathe a sigh of relief, even though she had already decided not to bother with this man anymore, not to let her emotions fluctuate because of him. Yet, just thinking about being in this car, with so many people outside, she beca extrely nervous. Her slightly trembling hands had long betrayed her thoughts.
Even though people outside couldn’t see anything through the car windows, and even though they would all be intimidated by this man’s authority and wouldn’t dare to say anything, she just didn’t want this. Although such situations happened once or twice and she had almost beco numb to them.
Avery Jane also knew that the demolition of the building this ti had nothing to do with him, yet it was inextricably linked. If Evelyn Yates hadn’t been jealous of her daily entanglents with him, she wouldn’t have turned red-eyed and rcilessly demolished that building. So, ultimately, it was his fault; everything started because of him.
She sat on his lap, struggling a bit to get off, but Joshua Hughes held her tightly in his arms, "Look at this poor thing, you seem to hardly have any strength to walk."
He opened the car door with one hand. His strong, dark-suited legs stepped out, and to everyone’s surprise, their master slightly bent down and lifted a woman out of the car.
All eyes were almost dropping to the ground. When had they ever seen Ryder Hughes carrying a woman?
But no one dared to break the rules, just lowering their heads, allowing their hearts to be filled with wonder, but still maintaining a well-trained, uniform appearance. They parted into two lines, making way and bowing to welco the master’s return.
"Don’t move."
Joshua Hughes lowly ordered the woman in his arms. She was really slender, as light as a feather in his arms.
Avery Jane dared not move further. His commands were always sothing she couldn’t disobey, or she would always lose out.
In any comparison, she lost to him in every way. He, like a lenient but ruthless person, had no weaknesses, while she had too many concerns, thus willingly delivering her weaknesses into his hands.
For example, in terms of strength, they were not on the sa level.
She gently buried her face into his chest. He liked it when, in such unfamiliar environnts, she only recognized him, only relied on him. This feeling was really great. He lowered his head and lightly kissed her hair as he went into the hall.
The scene imdiately beca so bright it was almost dazzling. Avery Jane buried her head deeper; she didn’t want to see anyone, didn’t want to see Evelyn Yates’ nauseating face. She never knew that Evelyn Yates, who seed gentle and obedient before, could do such things. Avery Jane realized that she seed to be just getting to know the Yates family, as everyone harbored ulterior motives.

Actually, only a castle as majestic as the Hughes Family’s Manor could match a man as lofty as a king as Joshua Hughes.
A place like Imperial Garden, no matter how exquisite and beautiful, no matter how ancient and elegant, couldn’t match soone as commanding as Joshua Hughes.
The tall and muscular figure of the man walked in from the door with an unstoppable aura.
But in his strong arms was a seemingly delicate woman.
Even though she couldn’t see her face, Evelyn Yates knew it was Avery Jane. No mistake, it was her, pretending to be fragile, fooling all the n. Even if she turned to ashes, she wouldn’t forget.
"Joshua, you’re back? What’s wrong with your sister-in-law? Has she hurt her foot? Let Little Emma take a look for her."
Evelyn turned her head to glance at the nurse following behind her.
He was really handso; the young nurse was almost smitten. Was this the man she was to tend to?
For a mont, she felt truly blessed to be with such a handso man for ten months, and she even got paid. What a good job she encountered.
"Sir, put her down, and I’ll check her."
The voice was both sweet and charming; indeed, a girl in her teenage years. Evelyn was secretly annoyed while watching the change in Joshua Hughes’ expression.
He seed not to glance at Little Emma at all, nor did he seem to look at her. They were just a few ters away from him, but in his eyes, it seed they were nothing but air.
Joshua Hughes, holding Avery Jane, probably felt uncomfortable, so he quickly walked to the elevator, went up to the top floor of the Hughes Manor, where he always stayed, the fifth floor.
Evelyn, biting her lip in anger, watched the little nurse dumbly staring at Joshua Hughes’ back, reached out and pinched her arm hard, "Haven’t you seen a man before? Such a slut."
Little Emma frowned in pain, gasping, thinking that although this madam looked beautiful, she was so fierce. Really scary.
Watching Joshua Hughes’ indifferent back, Evelyn, biting her lip and holding back her tears, hurriedly made a phone call back.
"Mom, he’s back, but he really brought back that bitch Avery Jane, and as soon as he ca back, he went to his room. He didn’t even speak to . Mom, what should I do?"
Even though she already had his child, in Joshua Hughes’ eyes, it seed like nothing had changed.
He didn’t seem to value her or the child either.
She suddenly recalled how Joshua Hughes brought in Avery Jane earlier. Could it be that Avery Jane was already expecting? Is it possible?
This realization made Evelyn Yates’ whole body chill because if Avery Jane also had a child, she would be even more difficult to deal with.
