"Joshua, don’t be like this." Evelyn Yates tugged at his arm, intending to act coquettishly, but was frightened still by his gloomy eyes.

After washing his hands in the silver basin, he picked up the towel to wipe, sat back down on the sofa.

Just as Joshua Hughes was about to handle things one by one, a woman’s voice suddenly broke through the tense atmosphere.

Avery Jane couldn’t believe the scene in front of her, just now the piercing screams had startled her, quickly tidying her clothes, she rushed down, only to see such a bloody and unbearable scene.
The young girl, terrified, bit back her sobs, looking utterly pitiful.

Joshua Hughes shrugged, answering nonchalantly.
Avery Jane glanced at the coiled whip in the servant’s hand, the handle stained with blood.
Avery Jane took a step back, unable to believe the scene before her, the man’s wickedness beyond human language.
Her small foot stepped back on the floor out of fear, Joshua Hughes frowned, walked forward, pulling her to sit on another sofa: "Dare not wear shoes even when you’re afraid of the cold?"
His large hand enveloped her small, jade-like foot, indeed icy cold from the sole.
Evelyn Yates watched the scene in disbelief, the tenderness Joshua Hughes never showed, once again laid bare...
