The pale moonlight painted everything into a peculiar picture...

But before her hand could touch the man’s body, it was held down forcefully and she was pushed to sit on the bed.

"Madam Maitland, isn’t what you’re doing quite unethical? Mr. Adam is still here, isn’t he?"

The man who had seed to be asleep on the bed sat up, his eyes gloomy as he looked at the woman who had barged into his room in the dead of night.

So many years had passed, yet her flirtatious nature had only grown stronger than before.

However, he was no longer that nineteen-year-old boy whose blood could be stirred with her passion.

"Joshua, have you forgotten? We used to be so in tune. You once said I was the best woman."

Donna looked at Joshua Hughes who was lazily leaning against the bedhead, so handso it was maddening.

A glint of violence flickered in his eyes; this woman was fearless.

Seducing an honored guest afar in her fiancé’s manor.

No woman could do that. She wasn’t Avery Jane, not the one woman he yearned to return to.

Initially, he intended to tease, or take a little revenge; but now, this woman didn’t even spark his interest to entertain her.

While frowning and rcilessly shaking her off, he thought of the sensation that Avery Jane could bring him; the touch of a twenty-year-old girl was indescribable.

With a faint sneer, he looked at this woman he knew, yet found so unfamiliar and detestable. A woman presenting herself like this didn’t even pique his interest.

Avery Jane never used perfu, her body always emitted a faint fragrance, even the sweat from her body carried that mysterious and maddening aroma.

He missed her, so much that it felt as if his whole being hid a deep-seated yearning, not just a physical longing, but another inexplicable need for her warmth, her breath, just to sleep peacefully.

Once the final contract was signed tomorrow, he could return.

What was happening to him, he’d only been away for two days, yet her shadow and scent were flashing through his mind like a rry-go-round, leaving him restless.

He should have brought her along from the start.

"Get out."

Joshua Hughes said coldly, Donna was more wanton and nauseating than a few years ago.

Back then, Donna’s sunny and sexy vibe was filled with youthful passion, but now, she just repulsed him, making him not want to take another look.

"Joshua, are you mad at ?"

Donna asked coquettishly, full of confusion.

"You’re overthinking it, Madam Maitland, now I want to rest, please leave."

Joshua Hughes pushed Donna away harshly, the feelings she brought him were nothing but annoyance and disgust.

"Joshua, don’t call Madam Maitland, you used to call darling."

Donna sat on the bed in defeat. Why was this? Could it be he no longer liked her?

"If you don’t want to bring your fiancé down here, then leave imdiately."

The past few days he had already been tornted by Avery Jane, that soul-stirring little spirit, and he had no desire to entangle with this woman any further.

His words were icy and carried an undeniable command, but it was precisely this stern and unfeeling deanor that further intrigued Donna.

He had shed the adolescent innocence of eighteen or nineteen, now he was a real man, mature and full of allure.

Like poppy flowers emitting a captivating fragrance, enthralling and addictive.

Back then, she must have been out of her mind, thinking of finding a rich playboy while dating him. Compared to Joshua, that guy was a nonentity.

Since he was in a bad mood, and given that this was her fiancé’s manor, he certainly wouldn’t act impulsively; she was just a bit too eager.

After all, they had ti in the future. Donna’s hand reached for the lamp on the bedside and gently twisted it, the small table lamp by the bed was turned on, spreading a warm orange glow.

She smiled, turned over on the bed, slowly climbed down, blew him a kiss, and then slowly left his room.

Joshua Hughes would never have guessed that far away, the seemingly timid and shy girl was plotting an escape.

And it had been ticulously planned for a long ti.

Everything seed flawless, nothing to nitpick about. She had even calculated each surveillance angle, and the route out of the hospital.
