The man’s shadow was like a monster ready to devour, suddenly erging from the darkness just as she was about to run into the sunlight, swallowing her whole.

Two figures quietly disappeared from the back door of the hospital, as if they had never been there at all.

The housekeeper’s face turned deadly pale, cold sweat slowly trickling down his forehead.
If she had left in the morning, it might have been fine, as she could have returned on her own. But since she left quietly in the middle of the night without alerting anyone, there was only one possibility: Miss Jane must have had a plan to escape.
Where could she go?

He even suspected his phone was broken, but it wasn’t. Whenever soone else called, it rang joyfully.
But none of those calls were from the number he longed for.
His mind was filled with uncertainty, wondering if she was urging him to finalize the divorce since, upon reflection, her question didn’t seem to care about his feelings.
Annoyed, he scratched his head, ignoring Joshua’s mocking gaze, just wishing they could arrive soon.
He needed to find Nora Thompson; he couldn’t remain passive any longer.
