Nora Thompson pondered how exactly Avery Jane managed to be found by Joshua Hughes, considering they had been cautious enough.
Yet, in just over a month, Joshua Hughes had found her. She was certain he went to Washington State to capture Avery Jane.
Avery Jane’s small face turned pale. The thought of that domineering man made his cold and imposing face unexpectedly flash into her mind.
Is he here yet?
"How did he know I’m here?"
Her current life was leisurely and free, attending classes, helping Da Jasper run the shop, with friendly neighbors. The girls in Seattle spoke sweetly, and she had co to like it here.
She thought she could live well here, but that man had once again forcefully barged into her life.
"I don’t know. We don’t have ti to think about what went wrong now. You need to leave imdiately. If Joshua Hughes catches you again, you might never escape if he doesn’t want to let you go."
Nora had carefully studied Joshua Hughes. From his various actions, it seed he wouldn’t easily let Avery Jane go. Such a man can only be the one who leaves, not the one who is left.
"Nora, no need. I’ll go by myself. I’ll contact you once I get there."
With that, Avery Jane hung up the phone. She could hear Nora’s anxiety over the phone. She didn’t want to trouble anyone else or drag Nora down with her. Nora had already helped her a lot, and if Joshua knew it was all Nora helping her, he’d surely go after Nora, which was the last thing she wanted to see.
The most dangerous place is often the safest. Since Joshua Hughes had co, she might as well test it herself, et him independently, because she couldn’t rely on others all her life.
"Da Jasper, I have a favor to ask of you." Avery Jane walked into the store and explained carefully to Da Jasper.
"Oh, it’s nothing. Just go, I’ll handle it. You know, I was an actress in my youth."
Da Jasper’s heavily accented Mandarin brought warmth to one’s heart.
In this world, there are still so people who aren’t swayed by money or power, helping others and fulfilling themselves.
Avery Jane packed a small bag and walked out. She didn’t need to leave; she’d stay here, just behind a wall. He wouldn’t guess she’d be bold enough to hide nearby, watching him co for her and not flee far.
If he couldn’t find her, he’d surely go back to the airport to check. By then, she’d return, maybe just hide for a few days and not go out.
The mont the plane landed in Washington State, soone was already waiting at the airport, the luxurious black car emitting a faint cold glow.
"Where does Mr. Hughes want to go first?" The uniford driver pressed the gas pedal, and the car smoothly drove off.
"Akin Fruit Shop, XX Road, XXX number."
These super big bosses can be quite peculiar. There’s fruit everywhere, and Akin Fruit Shop isn’t even that famous, but the car drove towards Joshua Hughes’s destination nonetheless.
Seattle’s traffic was very congested, the streets filled with roaring motorcycles, making his heart restless along with the noise.
How could he possibly tell her that staying by his side wasn’t that bad, at least he wasn’t a terrible lover?
But in her eyes, he probably couldn’t be any worse.
"Mr. Hughes, this is as far as the car can go. The streets here are too narrow for the car. I’ll wait here for you. It’s just a few minutes’ walk ahead."
The driver stopped the car at the street corner. At this ti, there was no way this car could go any further, he said respectfully.
Joshua Hughes got out of the car, imdiately drawing admiring glances from the young won on the street.......
It wasn’t far before a prominent and imposing white sign with red letters reading "Akin Fruit" ca into view. She was here.
Joshua Hughes’s heart thumped wildly. Looking at the fruit stall, there was no sign of that girl, only the chubby lady owner with perd hair and colorful clothes greeting custors......
"Oh my, young man, you’re quite impressive."
Da Jasper looked at the man standing in front of her store, more handso than a movie star.
"Where is Avery Jane?" Joshua Hughes desperately searched for his target, his heart anxiously calling out her na.......
