Lu Jinnian rarely spoke to Qiao Anhao before, and so she only realized whilst she was about to take a bite that he had asked her a question. She swallowed the food on her chopstick, blinking at him. Flustered, she stumbled to say in a low voice, "I climbed through a window."
Climbed through a window... The corners of Lu Jinnian's lips couldn't help but twitch. He picked up his chopsticks and shoved some random dish into his mouth to stop his smile from surfacing. With a straight face, he continued to eat without saying a word.
Qiao Anhao carefully looked at Lu Jinnian for a while. It didn't seem like he had any intention of chasing or arguing about past events. Consequently, she let go and took a bite of her fod. She lowered her head and continued to innocently and sincerely scrape her rice.
The dining room was very quiet. The two of them ate their meal facing each other in silence.
Just when they were about to finish eating, Lu Jinnian suddenly broke the silence, and with no warning at all, threw six numbers at her.
Qiao Anhao spaced out for a moment, then raised her head and stared up at Lu Jinnian, clueless with her big eyes.
Lu Jinnian shot Qiao Anhao a glance, and continued to virtuously eat in peace. Just when he was full, he put his chopsticks down and repeated the six numbers, followed by the question, "Got it?"

On the piece of paper, he wrote down the six numbers he had just said in cursive handwriting.
Qiao Anhao looked at the piece of paper. Then raised her head up at Lu Jinnian.
He looked down at her from above. His extraordinary handsome face didn't have much of an expression when he stretched his clean, long fingers and pointed at the paper. With two clear knocks of the table, he simply said the five words, "The passcode to the mansion."
He turned around and left the dining room.
As thought he had thought of something, Lu Jinnian stopped at the door, turned around, and said to her, "From now on, don't climb through the window. If the security system catches you, it'll call the police. If that time es, don't point at me to bail you out from the police station."
Having said what he wanted, Lu Jinnian strode off.
When he reached upstairs, he turned to the floor-to-ceiling window behind him to find that it really wasn't closed shut.
He hadn't even told his assistant about this mansion in Mount Yi, because when he was in a bad mood or ill, he liked to stay here alone. For this reason, he didn't bother finding a part-time cleaner, and so it was up to him alone to take care of the cleanliness of the mansion. A few months ago, when he came over, he watered the flowers on his way to open the windows for some fresh air. It must've been then that he forgot to close it...
When Lu Jinnian reached out to lock the floor-to-ceiling window, he thought about the person sitting in the dining room nibbling at her food. His movements paused for a moment. In the end, he gave up and allowed the window to remain wide open. He turned and walked upstairs.
A passcode of six numbers. After saying it twice, Qiao Anhao still couldn't remember it. Written down on paper, who knows if she'll turn around and lose it. Eventually when she came over again... then she'll still have to climb through the window...
